If I wanted to use 3-12volt LED bulbs, would i still use a 12v transformer? I'm trying to bring my grandfather's pachinko machine back to life, so I'm having to learn everything! Thanks!!!
Hey Dan! I got a kyoraku in 2019 and have been off and on fixing it up. I originally had it hooked up to a 9v with way to big gauge wiring. (Didn’t know what I was doing) where did you get the adaptor and wiring for the 12v wall transformer?
Hi Dan. Thanks for the video! Restoring a 1960's vintage Nishijin. It has no buss. Currently, all bulbs have power when the leaf switch is NOT activated (leaves not touching), and turn OFF when the leaves touch. Also, there is no leaf switch for the low ball indicator. Are you aware of a place that I can purchase a leaf switch for this machine?
Sounds like something is wired incorrectly. You can use micro switches in place of leaf switches for the ball out circuit. If you want to talk about it, visit the website and leave your contact info.
All the wiring is the same. Two DC circuits. One for ball out and another for the jackpot. They usually have power going to each circuit with a common return. Watch my wiring videos even though they are for Nishijin. Think of each circuit as a circle broken by a switch. Call me if you need more help. 585-760-9104
@MagicPachinko thanks so much ill be working on it over the next week or so, its been tough finding any info on my exact machines so i appreciate all the tutorials and info 😊 👍
Hey Dan love your videos! Finishing up a single shot Heiwa rebuild, my first machine, and one of the three lights stays on all the time. The center jackpot and lowball light work just as they should but this other light at the bottom right of the machine is always on. I don't know what the purpose of this light is so I can't tell if it's a bad switch or that it just is to indicate power on? Kinda hard to describe without showing you a photo- but ever seen this in your restoration practice? Thank you!
@@theOutpost420 I don’t remember the issue but think it had something to do with the wiring. This post was from 2 years ago!. I ended up replacing light sockets and adding LED tape on the inside. Looks great and no issues since. Thanks for your idea
Hey Dan. Working on a 70s nishijin rebuild. I have power keeping the low ball light on, which is weird because it doesn’t go off even when the leaf switch isn’t touching .The jackpot lights won’t come on at all, even when leaf switch is touching. I’ve tested all the bulbs, they all work. I’m wondering if it’s the buss or cables that have gone bad? It’s a pretty dusty machine, but functions as it should aside from the lights. Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks

Hello! I recently found a 1973 Nishijin Super Deluxe while cleaning out a basement and it is fully complete expect for the power supply. I read that you use a 12V wall transformer, do you have a link you could post for me? Thanks!

You will have to give me a call sometime and I’ll explain it to you. Too hard to do via text. I have made a number of videos about wiring. Check my RUclips channel also.
Hey have this pachinno machine can you put a list up or get me a list on what i need to order to rewire the machine to get in workin order has all parts you work with in your video i would like to replace all wires and bulbs the machine is in great shape but wire and bulbs are not in great shape
@@бурсукхитрун When the machine were in the parlors, the lights ran on 10VDC. I use 12VDC wall transformers on all my restored machines. I also replace the original bulbs with 12V E10 bulbs. Unless you change the wiring, you won’t need any resistance, unless you switch to LED’s.

Yes, you just have to observe polarity when you use LED bulbs.
This is an amazing video but could you like the wiring/ converters purchased to get the lights to work?
I got everything on Amazon. E10 12V bulbs and 12VDC power supplies.

Amazon! 18ga wire, A10 bulbs (12v), 2A fuse and the 12VDC.

Are all your leaf switches open they get bent quite easy and can cause a light to contantly stay on. Best of luck!

Wouldn’t it be better if the screw area of the bulb be negative and the end tit be positive? New subscriber
It’s a DC circuit so it can be wired either way.
