Really great information. I have a machine similar to the one you show here. I rigged mine so that balls always go to the lower tray. For some reason, this makes more sense to me.
Excellent information. I just got an old pachinko machine and have no idea if it is working right, but if not, now I have an idea of some of what to check! Thanks for this!
Thank you! I am so happy to finally own a pachinko machine again after many years, but I'm realizing how much repair and maintenance is still involved. I look forward to watching more of your videos.
@@MagicPachinko Thank you. Your comment in one of your videos (maybe not this one...?) that it is necessary to have at least 100+ balls is helpful. The machine I bought came with fewer than 100 balls, and it has not been working as I hoped, and I think the lack of balls is probably one reason. I've already ordered more, and will continue troubleshooting and maintaining the machine after that. Thanks again!
Who did you buy from. Not Amazon, I hope. If so, I would suggest canceling the order. They are actually ball bearings. Not quite right for the machine. I sell real pachinko balls. Just FYI
@@MagicPachinko Good to know. RUclips won't let me share the link, but I bought balls from eBay, from the link my pachinko seller gave me. He said the same thing you did - to buy real engraved balls, which I did. Thanks for the tip. And yeah, I'd love to buy from you in the future.
Thank you for this. I went to Japan several years ago and one of the things I wanted to do was play the antique pachinko machines. I went to a few parlors, but all they had were the newer anime inspired ones with video screens with way too much going on at once. Nothing simple like these. Just recently I have gotten into the spirit of fixing things, accordions being one and antique pachinko being the other. A lot of people when selling do not know if they work or not. So unless you know what to look for, you could very well get a dud or something that would take a lot of time, effort and money to fix before playing. So I will watch your videos to get good at it.
My dad brought his old pachinko machine home and it was last used 30+ years ago. I have fixed many problems but have one left. A few balls have gotten jammed up in the turnaround on the back. They are stuck on some long screw with a spring on it inside the turnaround. Once I fix that I can clean it and do a mini restoration. Thank you so much for the tips!
@@MagicPachinko I have a few questions for you. I have fixed all but three problems and can't figure out what to do. I un-clogged the system for the jackpot and balls flow smoothly through it now (two longs screws were jammed in the way), but before they can make it to the back of the jackpot where they load up they fall through the track because of these two white plastic pieces that allow them to fall out the back like a lost ball that goes into the gutter while playing. I dont know if a part is missing or what. Another is that balls get jammed up behind the tulips in the machine. The balls will get jammed and 2 of the tulips will get stuck open. The only thing I can think of doing is cleaning the tracks that the balls go through that lead to the see-saw. I dont know what model mine is but the background of the play area is blue and the plastic that covers up the two light at the front top of the machine look like playing cards. One has the design of a queen and the other is a king. The last is that I dont know if the electrical side of things works. I need to check the fuses and I have to fix the contact switch that turns the light on when the tray in the back is empty. The wires have came off of the contacts. The two bulbs in the top of the machine look fine. I have plugged it in and flipped a switch that is in the bottom overflow tray on the front and nothing seems to happen no matter what. The machine plays and the bells will ring but none of the electrical things work
Hi dan! I have a really nice Sankyo Akasaka Circus themed Pachinko mom. I am wondering whether you make a video that walked me through all the workings of the back of the machine. For some reason it is not hang out and I see that there are a lot of balls below the jackpot section and I think perhaps they are stuck. I would love to understand my machine better and I’m hoping you might have a video or other document to help me learn my machine! I am a cabinet maker and plan on wall mounting it into a special cabinet but don’t want to do that until I know I have it working properly. Thanks! Lucy.

i just got two pachinko machines from my grandma she just passed. i’m trying to get them all working again and this vid helped a ton. do you have any advice on opening the front window ? i can’t seem to get it
On the backside of the machine along the right edge is along metal bracket. There will be a small ring or tab that you can lift up on. This will release the front chrome door.
I just got one from my Brother who's moving. Watching your video I'm learning a bit about it. There's no power supply. Wires are just hanging. Where can I get one?.Thanks for the video
Is the flag supposed to be all the way down or all the way up? Or is there an 'in between' setting? The two little wires that control this seem like they just need tweaking but I can't seem to get it to switch from being 100% up to 100% down.
Hi Dan I'm new to your channel.... I grew up with 2 Pachinko machines. We moved from California to Kentucky back in 1982. When we moved my father gave these 2 units to my uncle. My uncle passed away and one fo them was given to me. It looks to be in good shape but I have a problem with the power. All I have at the end of the wire is 4 pin connector with 3 wires black, red, and white. I assume I am missing the voltage regulator to go from 110v to 12v/24v. yes? All it says on the back is Pachinko Imports LTD. MODEL #3200. What do you recommend?
This takes a bit of trial and error. Make sure the bulbs are good and the fuse is not blown. Cut the connector off and strip back the ends of the wires. Using a 9V battery, try different combinations. White is probably negative. Black or red to positive. Might even be red and black to the positive. Once you have the wires in place, activate one of your switches and see if a bulb lights up. Go to my website: www.magicpachinkorestorations.com and leave your phone number in the contact area. If you can’t figure it out, let me know and I’ll give you a call.
My grandma had a similar one in storage. I’m trying to restore it back to at least working condition and get it as clean as possible. I started by removing the stuck balls in the machine and taking parts off to clean. Tons of rusty screws snapping on me and a lot of surface rust and dirt. Any tips for cleaning and replacement parts. I’m not aiming for perfection. Just want to get it clean and working.
