  • What's life like in Southern Kazakhstan? Let's spend a day on a camel farm!
Camel breeding is a lucrative business because there’s high demand for camel milk and meat.
Shubat made of camel milk is a nutritious drink - and its considered a cure for many diseases.

The Kazakhs amazed me with their immense hospitality, kindness and humbleness. I think the Turkic people are still being really marginalized by the world but I firmly believe it'll change. I really appreciate your work and dedication, Slava

It's amazing how a kettle of tea and some snacks can bring people together that a oment ago were strangers, quickly become friends. I'm Canadian, but grew up drinking tea, from the age of tea, i had it every day. My father was always asking for tea even in the hospital before he passed away. My neighbor Marcel would stop by after supper, we would watch hockey, talk, laugh, and have tea and tea cookies. i love how tea is universal to pretty much all cultures and brings people together. 🫖

How different the rhythm and way of life is in the countryside.
A 67-year-old man looks and works like a young man - fantastic.
Having 26 grandchildren is a real blessing.
Hard life? I don't know if it's harder to be in nature or to sit all the time in the office.
As the measures of happiness, wealth and joy are relative. I wish you and everyone you meet on your travels good luck.

Hi Slava and hello Lena. Many thanks for this, as usual, very informative video. Seems both farmers are happy with their life, even I guess the work 24/7 hours to feed their stock and do everything good for them. Well, they work for themselves and so it doesnt feel that hard. I bet they are very high self catering and even the first farmer would be able to make his own bread. The grandfahter and granddaughter are a nice couple. The wind would kill me, my eyes and even my ears. Thanks a lot mate.

In future, foreigners from the Russian-led Eurasian Economic Union will only be allowed to stay in Kazakhstan without a visa for a maximum of 90 days per half year, the Kazakh state news agency Kazinform reported, citing the law, which is to come into force on 27 January. Until now, Russians could cross the border briefly after 90 days and re-enter to stay longer. (German Tagesschau)
