- After hitting a few road blocks I finally get the interior back in the S13 hatch and ready for the next step, installing the Bride Zeta II's and Nardi Steering Wheel.

everytime i watch a video from you working on the 240 i want one even more
Be careful, that’s how it starts! I watched one too many Jimmy Oakes videos and my life has been consumed by s-chassis’ ever since… 😂
It's probably too late, but the sound quality will be MUCH better if you try to emulate that stock plastic bracket that you eliminated. The issue with the way that you have it now is that there's basically going to be little to no separation between the front and rear of the speaker. IDEALLY, the face of the speaker would be sealed against the back side of the interior plastic cover so that the sound out of the front of the speaker can only go into the cabin area. With the way you've done it, you're going to have "dead" areas in the sound where the sound waves from the front and rear of the speaker will cancel themselves out. If the factory plastic is beyond reusing, then emulating it with MDF is how it's typically done. This can be a bit of a PITA, so if you (or a friend) have any CAD experience, you could design a new one and have it 3D printed. You might also try re-inforcing the factory plastic piece with resin and fiberglass so that it has enough strength to accept fasteners. With a restomod of this caliber, a small thing like this shouldn't be skipped. Trust me, your ears will thank you.
I'm his friend and I have CAD and 3D print experience. I reached out to model and print some new brackets for him 👍🏻.
Never too late to do the right thing on a project! Will's going to make up some new ones, so I'll be sure to document putting the final pieces in the car in the future.
Been looking forward to this video!
That's what I love to hear! Seats and quick release install will be live on Wednesday too
Interior is absolutely perfect minus the scratch on the driver knee panel, wonder if a new one could even be sourced. I think the rear bottom seat with the X brace would look sweet.
You just had to go and point out my insecurity! Hahaha just kidding. I know you can’t get them new, but I’m anyways watching for clean parts
@@avengednick I’m like you the whole picture could be perfect but I notice the little things, it’s a blessing and a curse
Excellent progress, looking forward to seeing the front seats installed. As for the back seat area what are your options?
Definitely go full seat in the back with matching fabric. You wont regret it. Also what motor do you plan to put in?
That's the plan! Just need to track down a rear seat... And the only motor that should go in a 240, an SR20! Haha
I definitely think you should keep the rear seats in favor of deleting them. It goes great with the OEM+ build you're looking to get
That’s what I’m thinking too! Rear seat with matching black fabric
More s14 kouki videos plz!
Where did you find the push pins or screw pins for the kick panels/ door jams?
It’s been awhile, but I believe I had the originals. You can still by them new though, part #01553-06161
I noticed the bottom panel under the steering wheel column has a few minor scratches. Any chance you can probably pass a scotch brite over it and use a black trim paint?
I'm on the hunt for another one, but I'll probably just leave it as is in the meantime cause I'd be sick if I made it worse haha
@@avengednick I believe you. Your attention to details is impressive.
+1 on full seat as well.
I'm with you on this one! Definitely my plan at this point
I can’t recommend evaporust enough. Try it!
Just looked it up, definitely going to order some to have on hand!
Run a new lower gauge power wire for the fuel pump before you put all that interior in
We’ll be running one shortly when we do the engine harness! Thanks for the recommendation
It's a close thing between you and sarah -n- tuned who is the most meticulous with their project cars.
I'll have to check out some more of her content, I love good content of a meticulously done build!
I think full rears would look best
That’s the direction I’m leaning towards for sure!
Type x back seats
I thought about that but I think I'd rather reupholster a set to match the Zeta II's and I wouldn't want to tear up a set of type x seats
Full rear seat 100%
Rear seat deletes just seem a bit try hard on a street car IMHO
I'm with you on that, a seat delete definitely wouldn't be the right vibe for this car. Leaning towards full seat with a set of the miracle x bars between the rear strut behind the seat
Go Street faction rear seat delete.
Little too racecar for this build, trying to keep it more OEM+
