Good on you Davin!! I really enjoy your videos all the way from Australia. You are an inspiration for me and my restoration project which is a 1968 HK GM Holden Kingswood LS swap. It is what has gotten me through the challenges of the last 18 months. I like your sign off line, and I will get my work done. I learn many tips from these videos.
This is my favorite car on the internet! I have a 36 that’s stock and I would love to build and old school race car out of it. I never would do that to this rig though. But I can experience it vicariously through you guys. Thank you!
Oh, I know all about that sort of progress. Dozens (hundreds?) of hours and it looks like you haven't done much. But it's gotta be done, and it's all worth it once you get the paint on later. Right, getting out to the shop now. I've got my own trunk (well, boot) lid to fit 👍
That car sure has come a long way since the last time I saw it at Snowball's I just wish he could've lived long enough to see him make a lap around Fred's track one more time. We're all gonna miss him and his stories from good ole days.
When you started on this car I wasn't that interested because the car was old and unexciting. I have to be honest and say it's become one of my favorite builds of any channel. It's good simple work and I'm learning a lot about things I didn't know I needed to know. This is exactly the kind of project I would love to have if I had a garage or space. The car itself was always cool but it wasn't an old muscle car or super car, but I'm glad you proved me wrong. It's an awesome car because it's the one you're working on and it's just being out in the shop and doing something that is the point. Thank you for sharing. Can't wait for more in the series. All your projects are awesome.
Hey David, thanks for the tip on filling holes using flat copper on the back side. Would you be interested on working on a 1976 Stingray L-82. It’s got the original 350 matching number engine in it and I believe it’s been rebuilt years ago at 30 thousand over. Would love to have the engine done over again, as you see fit for it, and the car re-painted while the engine is out. Car is in good condition and time length wouldn’t be an issue. Shot in the dark 🙂
Getting it done! Yep that's where I am, cleaning my pole barn and extricating some stored cars, to get some space to tear down my Camaro this fall / winter to finally start my LS swap! Cheers!
it's interesting to see you still hold the idea of not welding the panel continious. when others say that causes lots of small spots of contraction which makes the panel then harder to get straight, which is why they now weld continiously so that it then easier to beat out straight and flat again afterwards.
Hey love what you are doing just one question where is Tom and Barn find Hunters gone to have seen a video from him or him on this project in a while . Barn finds is one of my favorite shows
Just one "please do" Davin Before any filler is added to the body, epoxy etch prime the bare metal. There is a huge misconception that filler is applied to bare metal then primed, categorically wrong practice. I know this is "race car" but best practices should still be applied no matter what your building.
I do not like in the least how you put the piece on the roof, it should never be welded overlapped, you cut the affected part and create a piece identical to the hole to have to weld head head, because the overlapping pieces create moisture and in a short time the rust starts again
That back side copper trick is AWEsome ! ! Never thought of that...
I like the pedal bolt gusset. Very green of you!
I have been loving these videos. So much functional knowledge and humility and perspective about how a project really comes together.
Cool tips. It's still exiting, sweeping the floor!
This is the gritty work that never gets seen.

Great tip with the copper... cheers
"It's not exciting, but it's progress, so it's exciting." - Davin 2021
Words to live by.
Progress is always good.
Thanks for the welding tips, completely welcome with the stuffs we have to do pretty soon.
Man. It's the body work that I like to see the most! I wish that you'd do a longer video on that like you do with other aspects of the build.
Enjoyed the tip.
Thanks for the inspiration and keep on trucking!

Loved the tip of the day!

I think I need a montage of Davin telling me to get in the shop and get my work done.

Awesome race car!

Just like always.....superb work.....keep it going....
Always informative and entertaining, but too short. Davin deserves more exposure.
"Relative to" count = 1 in this video. Carry on.
Great video as always thanks from JDS in AZ usa
This is my Favorite series💯🤟🏽😎
Would've loved to see actual work.... That's the best.
5 1/2 minutes for a race car body job.
That's lots of time..for a race car!
Cheers. 🇨🇦

Медленно но уверенно, удачи в этом не лёгком деле!!!!
nice job
Very good
Love davin! Be nice if hagerty could do videos like mortsky repair, 1 and a half hours long, I'd gladly watch it

Yeah it doesn’t have to look pretty to run the track. 😎👍🇨🇦
Banging, patching and welding. Three of the most fun things a person can do
Jeez it would have been good to see a complete shot of that car, or some thing about its history, but,, love your work by the way.

More RACE CAR! Please,....Im stuck here with family 🍗
i m from brazil ,I really like to watch your videos
Hay Dave, Where is Tom Cotter? If I remember correctly, Tom was going to work on this car with you.
Hey love what you are doing just one question where is Tom and Barn find Hunters gone to have seen a video from him or him on this project in a while . Barn finds is one of my favorite shows
Only 5 mins.?.? Sigh, I'll watch it again,
It's 94 degrees here!!! A/C is much better for a 74 year old................Jay
Just one "please do" Davin

Progress that’s what I need , turn off this thing and actually go and do something productive 👍👍👍
Will the car be finished? I know that Clovis passed last year, but I’d like to see the car done.
Шикарный канал.
Hi from Ukraine
Doing something is better than not doing anything I guess... But gosh, you can hit lows with projects.😓
I am going to tell you how it is. Hagerty just as well drops all the other videos but yours.
Is Davin destined to disappear too?
Davin, what's going on with the motor? I haven't seen anything about it in forever?
Hay que trabajarla a la cupé de chapa bastante 🤙✌️✌️😶👏👍🇦🇷 a las cupé de tc en Argentina le ponían una lona a cambio de la tapa del baúl
David. I Appreciate all your hard work Yes it’s progress But why it’s a pile.
😎👍
Are you going to replace the fire wall on that race car ?
No updates on this project for a really long time. Has it been dropped?
С медью интересное решение, надо запомнить.
I love how nothing has to be perfect on the racecar. Good enough, and carry on -- Farm-boy mentality.
Am too wondering what happened with this project.
When are you going to be showing new videos of this ?
Is it a dirt car or an asphalt car?
What's happened to this project?
Why didn’t you finish the car?
What is going on with this car? Any updates?
Unfortunately Snowball died back in October.
yep its a old tin top as we called here in aust
not pretty but fuctional
as they say davin you can put lip stick on a pig but its still a pig lol
Show car or not, there's a right way and a wrong way. That is the wrong way either way you look at it.
what happened to this car
Hola
Amigõ
SOS ARGENTINO?????
O SOS LATINO
Glad he's not trying to make it a true beauty. It only has to be functional not pretty
