I ordered her book just a few weeks ago. As it has not yet been published in Germany, my book store said it was unlikely arrive in time for Christmas. Guess what arrived today, just in time for Christmas Eve - Forever Young.
Hayley Mills just makes one feel so good in every way. I have always loved her. There is no one like her. Her sincerity, kindness and charm knock the socks off me.Where is the heart emoji on this 38g75x3* computer???
Great interview- love that "Tiger Bay" was discussed, as Hayley gives one of the greatest child performances of all time in the film, IMO. Ordered the book last week and can't wait to read it.
I loved Pollyanna!!! As well as the Parent Trap but didn’t know of her other movies!!! Parent Trap was made 9 yrs before I was born and the first time I seen it was at home with my mommy when I was about 5-7 yrs old and I’m 51 now and still will always watch the parent trap if I find it on tv When my lil niece came into the world and was about 4-5 yrs old I played it for her and she loved it!!! I still even have the old VHS tape of it lol!!! Miss Mills I remember when I first seen parent trap I thought u were like the prettiest young lady in movies ever!!!!! Much love to you miss Mills I will definitely look for your book!!! And any others u have written as me and my mom love to read the same things mostly!!!! Hope u all have a wonderful weekend!!!!!
Caroline, the interviewer comments on Hayley's naturalness before the camera when so many child stars were over acting. I hadn't thought about it but this is such a great point. As far back as Pollyanna she is a real girl acting out her story. I would love to see The Family Way where I remember the press at the time were obsessed with Hayley having done a nude scene! Am watching lots of You Tube Hayley interviews for Forever Young and something i think kind of interesting is that her The Trouble With Angels is such a huge crowd pleaser yet nobody asks about it. My question for Hayley would be: Another movie you made as an adolescent was TTWA. This was a fun look at a young girl trapped in a Catholic boarding school. Perhaps a bit too naughty for your Disney image, yet the film was somewhat Disneyesque in nature. What was it like to film TTWA for Columbia pictures without the protection of the Disney studios?
Hayleyy says that the little girl she was is very much alive and kicking but the world she lived in has gone. How moving and true is that? As I suppose is true for everyone in life who has ever reached a certain age. Wistful and profound.
Great Interview!!! My all-time favorite movie of hers is The Parent Trap❤ Thankyou for a great time.
