I'm 37 years old and I grew up with the original "The Parent Trap" which is still the best in my opinion. "Pollyanna" was a great film too and she was a big part of my childhood even though these films were way before my time.

I've seen "The Parent Trap" numerous times and have the DVD and I've also watched "Summer Magic" a couple times as well. Sorry if this sounds weird, but she has such a cute voice, lovely looks and a whole lot of charm.
Yeah...I like the original..actually thought it was twins playing the roles..I actually didnt know she was playing both parts untill later... watch it whenever it came on TV..liked her in that Movie That Darn Cat..
Haley Mills’ made me smile in high school, I had all kinds of laughs from watching 1. That darn cat 2. The parent trap 3. Pollyanna 4. The moon spinners (These are the only ones I’ve seen and in the order I’ve seen them for the first time
I wrote her many years ago saying how much her film “The Parent Trap“ has influenced my life growing up. She was very nice, wrote me back, and even sent me an autographed photo!
I also got the book last Christmas, coincidentally the same time Hayley made an appearance in the British movie Last Train to Christmas considering that her book was released in Australia close towards Christmas.
Hayley Mills is a great star and now she is age 75 maybe we will meet sometime because I am age 85 and hope to live a long life providing I receive quality care based on living at present on my own.,
I am 16 years old and Hayley Mills has been a favorite of mine since I was very young. I am so excited to meet her in February of 2025!! Loving her book!😊
The Mills Sisters are fingerprinted all over Hollywood: Hayley with Disney and "Saved By the Bell", and of Course Juliet on "Passions". We will be reading. #GMA
Juliet Mills was also on a TV show called, Nanny and the professor. Richard Long who played Jarrod Barkley on the big valley, played the professor. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
I am a huge fan, I grew up with hayley's films ( i am now 37). I am reading her book. loving it. but i think it is definitely very hypocritical of her parents to make her act and earn money and then deny her participation in the Oscars. Ps . I am from Italian Riviera and I have been to the former Rex Harrison' s villa in Portofino where Hayley and her family were invited (and later were kicked out because of an argument between rex and her mom)
Hayley, I worked at Gammage Theatre in Tempe AZ when you came and performed the role of Anna opposite Vee Talmadge in "The King and I" and after the matinee I asked you for an autograph on my copy of "Moonspiners". You said you didn't have time and then I watched an autograph shark hit you up in the car park and you signed everything he handed you. Yes, I know this sounds petty, but I am not in awe of stars and I've worked with many. It's just that in my mind I grew up with you. I've admired your work from the beginning and have watched you in a couple of BBC movies. I was bummed that long-ago day. Whew, feels good to get that off my chest...
Did she do that right after your encounter with her? The same moment, same day, same time? That's sad. I don't want to meet the stars I admire. I don't idolize them but I will admire their art.
Hayley Mills was never a conventional beauty. But, she had that certain something that appealed to audiences from 9 to 99. Whatever film she chose to appear in, she just blew audiences away with her seamless performances. She gave sit-back-and-take-notice performances. one better than the other, in such films as Tiger Bay, Whistle down the wind, Pollyanna, Summer Magic, A matter of innocence, The Chalk Garden, The Parent Trap. It was because of her outrageous skill as an actor that her characters hung around long after the movies left theaters. Fully imagined and wincingly human, the films and her performances seem plucked from lives very much in progress. Hayley, without doubt, was an "A" Grade actor.
Why isn’t there a single interview of Hayley Mills discussing what it was like working on Good Morning Miss Bliss and how it evolved to Saved by the Bell? It’s non-existent. Has the Saved by the Bell reboot reached out to her to make an appearance? That’s be amazing.

Hayley Mills was just as popular as Annette funicello in the Disney movies.

Wonder why she never talks about her twin sister even if she retired from acting when The Parent Trap stopped filming.
