Yes Pat you're right about Hayley Mills being a gracious lady and wonderful actress. Several people who've met her have said that. Also, when I was living outside Chicago, and she was in a play in Kansas, I wrote to her at the theater there, and she or her secretary kindly took the time to answer my letter.
Thank you for posting this BBC interview conducted in person! Ms. Mills is still a lovely, lovely person with her great sense of humor, storytelling and upbeat outlook!
I am just a year or two younger than Hayley and just loved her. About 10+ years ago? I was standing in a small area in the PATH subway station in NYC with my husband and only two other people were near. A petite woman with long blond hair with her back to me and a taller dark haired handsome man. As soon as she talked and said something about “my dad” I recognized her voice. I knew it was Hayley Mills. No mistaking that voice. I just didn’t have the guts to go up and impose on her. But I always wished I had because I would have loved to have said “I bet I’m the only one going on this train who has a Hayley Mills scrapbook in her attic!” I pre-ordered her book in April and am reading it now.
I'm 71. I think every male my age here in the USA had a serious crush on Hayley Mills. She was actually the forerunner of the Beatles with her mop-top hair, and British accent singing "yeah, yeah, yeah." - the epitome of cuteness. The Parent Trap had an incredible degree of magic - and still does.
I notice Hayley has possibly some cowlicks in her hair..very pretty..I’ve seen it on most of her films. Cowlicks cannot be tamed I know. I’ve watched her movies from Pollyanna…right thru the Paradise Honeymoon ..third in a sequel. She seems to have the same cowlick. I absolutely adore Hayley…me at 10…seeing The Parent Trap…sat thru it twice then. By now…50 times. I’m just 4 years younger than Hayley…I still watch her movies. If I could have a last wish..it would be to sit and chat with Hayley. ❤️

Halfway through “Forever Young” and enjoying it immensely!

Wonderful to see a natural mature woman, minus Botox & silicon overload. She's beautiful, always has been. Love her.

makes me cry thinking such classy, elegant, sweet, down-to-earth women like Hayley are dying out. Bought up in a world not so evil and heartless.
Her date was with George Harrison instead of Ringo. I adore Hayley. Thanks for posting.
I favored George Harrison,
Tiger Bay her first film and my favourite

Your on cat boat then meet. Somone on mega yacht. Whats that movie in the film you said floating around cat fish key!
It's another life. In a way it's another person; it's the same person. Sounds like duality (Janus) to me.
