A MIGHTY BLAZE is a social media community and online initiative that helps authors connect with readers to introduce their new books during the COVID 19 pandemic. New York Times bestselling novelists and co-founders Jenna Blum and Caroline Leavitt created A MIGHTY BLAZE for authors facing canceled book tours and publication challenges to bring authors and readers together daily for digital events including publication day Tuesdays, indie bookstore Wednesdays, celebrity author Thursdays, cocktail party Fridays, social media Saturdays, and giveback brunch Sundays, among other initiatives.
A MIGHTY BLAZE vision: “a book may seem like a small candle in a dark time, but when you put many books together, they make a mighty blaze to light the way for writers and readers to find each other and a way forward in the darkness.”

Currently considering whether to read this one. I'm trying to work out if CJ is one of those unhinged feminists. My new years resolution is to try and read truly good novels so I'm building a tbr by doing a lot of research, no time for mediocre books from now on.
Jenna, I appreciated your interview questions. This helped me understand the reasoning behind a few themes in this story and shaped my appreciation.
Stealth on a shelf. Ha!
Your airplane is a character, I never know what will happen when it leaves the ground, if it does!
I have wanted this interview since I read Rising out of Hatred by Eli Sazlow. Just downloaded the book
Wonderful!
The sequel to Fever House is "The Devil by Name"
Fever House is a good book and Keith Rosson is a far better than average writer...You'll like the story and his excellent use of language. And the sequel is very good as well. Steve
Ike has style and interesting grace with a rhyming pattern of lyrics unique to him. The kind of guy you love to support!
Great thriller! Audiobook or physical it’s amazing:)
Great book...I just read this book...wow amazing
Loved!!! This book. Unique, captivating, will stay with me a long time. Resonated with me deeply
Unbelievable novel.. absolutely loved this book. Gave me so much feeling and I'm still processing. I just wanted it to keep going and going but I also felt like it ended in a perfect way. Had THE scene spoiled for me (you know the one) and was gutted, I felt that loss was so visceral and necessary... it still hit me like a freight train. I feel like I need to dive right back in for a second read.. I really wasn't ready haha. Thanks so much for this interview!! ❤ Fantastic dialogue great questions 😊
I'd love to know what writing book Lisa referred to.
It's my first time watching. Great interview!
I didn't realize so many mentally challenged people were authors 😱
I got kicked out of 4th grade for reading Lolita instead of taking notes on math.
Thank you for this podcast interview of Ann Garvin! I am just such a fan of Ann’s writing. Partially it is the story line within each book certainly, but more than that it is about how deftly she fleshes out her very relatable and endearingly human characters in a way that transports me into their story; so much so that by the end of the book I’m just in love with the characters as if they are dear friends and neighbors. I’m now quite spoiled by her writing and I find myself comparing her books to others I read, and finding some of them a bit disappointingly flat despite an intriguing storyline . I cannot put my finger on how amazingly she crafts and weaves these delightfully detailed characters into the plot line. They make the story come alive. I tell people that when they just read a short synapsis of the quite imaginative plot line in a review of one of her books it doesn’t even begin to adequately describe what each book is actually about!!!! Each one is a singular and delightful experience…✨I find myself laughing aloud in an empty house and the next minute just as poignantly touched…
Yay I found this podcast and so enjoyed this dialog. ❤
I’ve been a fan of Jeffery Deaver for years! Really so intertwined in the story. He is an excellent author.
The BEST!
❤ love this chat.
"If there's nothing beyond the physical world--to me, that's horror" -Jesmyn Ward 👏👏👏
Listening on the replay!!
What a wonderful read. I listened to it on Audible and will buy it to read.
I got Nicked from the library and it was SO GOOD! Reviewed in my latest August wrap-up! 💪🏽
Banning kids books that talk about anal rape and oral sex. Kamala is a traitor to the constitution.
I’m enjoying her book. Jessica Waite. Thank You! From Nova Scotia
similar to "Lovely Bones?"
Great interview with my fave author--thank you!
Its great saying "its the readers fault" Jesus. Is this the 70's l?
Great interview.
The characters were mesmerizing…all of them! If it were 600 pages longer, I would have stuck with it! Great, great book!
I love Gillian McAllister's books! I have heard of that process of pantsing a whole first draft to discover where your story is going, then start all over. I have not tried this yet LOL
Gail , You are a GREAT WRITER & a Kind and generous Person! Your Former Friend, Illustrator, Landscaper & Thankful Friend. Toad Painter. Margie
Loved this book!!!! I love all of Gudenkauf's books and all Of Hank's books.

More right wing paranoid twaddle
Can't wait to read this book!
Read it, it was stunning!
Inspiring conversation! Thank you for this
First of all, I want to say that I am a big fan of Anne Lamott. (Thank you for all that you do.) But I also found myself wondering about the WAIT concept and the idea of butting out of the lives of our adult children. On some level, I'm sure that's the right thing to do, but it doesn't address the uselessness, abandonment, etc., that we might feel as a result of feeling that we have no voice, nothing to offer. They (meaning our adult children) certainly say what they think, but we need to remain mute? I'm not debating the truth of what Anne is saying, I just want to point out that there's more to it than that. Am I wrong to want (not expect) my children to value me as an advisor or even friend? Here's an acronym for ya: WOES. Walking on egg shells.
Hello! This is Mary O'Malley responding. First off, thank you SO much for tuning in, and I am glad you enjoyed the interview. I appreciate your thoughts on WAIT, and I LOVE your response of WOES. I feel as though there is a very large group of us parents that are trying to navigate exactly what you describe. I have found it helpful to talk about it with my fellow moms of adult children going through the same thing. I hope you have a circle to help you navigate these new waters. Thank you again for watching and for commenting. I feel like we could fill hours with this discussion.
Just saw it at a store in Cincinnati, now I wish I picked it up
👏🏽👏🏼👏🏽👏🏼👏🤗
A craft-smart guide that's loaded with heart! Full of what feels like hard-won wisdom about tricky elements like chronology and narration. And so empathetic, at times it felt weirdly like the book was reading me.
32:00 Yes, characters NEED something wrong with them or there is no point to the story, there will be no plot. Peace is the end of plot.
Such a great discussion, thank you!
I just read this book this week and I loved it! I even sent a message to Leah on a social media platform and she responded! She’s becoming one of my faves!
What high praise from Richard Russo! 👏
