      @Heloise O'Byrne thank you so much for this comment! I wrote my endwork (thesis) at university about the link between music and language whereby musicality seats much deeper than language interwoven in the brain. Yet, not only promotors and teachers were not interested but also rejected what i was trying to show. Nevertheless, behind my back i noticed their interest through various online platforms. I got a 12 out of 20! Just enough to pass my master in translation. Nevertheless i do think my work deserved a higher score. But non of them had studied music, so they did not really understand much. --- Yes please, get our oldies out of these terrible homes and spoil them with live music and contacts with animals. I saw it for my own mum, how happy she became with music or when she had the opportunity to carress a cat, dog, sheep. These homes are terrible! We need a more HUMAN society inclusive all ages! I got my university degree at 60 and am studying tonal percussion for the rest of my life.

When you use the Fword in your interviews, it limits our ability to use these videos in the classroom. If you could just remove that word, your videos could have such a greater impact with young people in the schools. We want to use your videos to help impact youth. As many others have noted as well, please stop the cussing, Tom. I don't know why you suddenly started effing and blinding (as they say here in England), but you let yourself down and bring down the tone of your show. It's not cool, it's just vulgar and dumb. I'm no prude, trust me. In fact, I'm a rather anarchic, fucking hell-raiser, but this is an intellectual format and show, and the cussing isn't appropriate here. IMHO. Thanks for all you do! You are the best interviewer! You always ask relevant questions and never try to steal the limelight. You ask a concise question and then you shut your mouth and let the guest answer in detail. Perfect interviewer! You're awesome!

      Words are words. People are authentic. When someone goes through a true emotional, AHA moment they say what they want. It is his channel. Who are you to say this isn't a proper format. If you don't like it, watch something else - to be offended by a "curse" word is silly. grow up

    • @kaitlynkarol4600
      @kaitlynkarol4600 4 года назад +5

      @@dillonbrooks7807 - t's not about being offended - it's about being turned off and having the energy and focus of the interview be hijacked by childish punkish banter that doesn't fit w/ this type of talk. You don't get it b/c maybe you're very young or just very immature yourself...? Maybe ppl could 'grow up' a bit more by really seeing into what happened here instead of making blind judgments on this by assuming those of us who don't agree w/ the cursing in this interview are being judgmental...
      There is a big diff btw. judgment and 'discernment' and when a person is a real 'grown up' - adult - etc - he or she is aware that there is a time & place for all things. As a writer and journalist, I interview ppl all the time, & I know how to modify my language and behavior according to where I am and who I am with. This is also called common sense and children who act infantile and refuse to level up to other adults don't get this. Also to your first comment - Words are NOT 'just words' - they carry weight and power but it's all in how we use and respond to them that gives us true power and FOCUSED purpose in our lives. But blind and deaf folks will go on acting infantile.... (sighing and smh as I sign out)...

    This information is incredible! Just a note; on the F word! I use it as commas myself, but, Sincerely, it detracts ones attention away from this great interview, it's so out of context, & makes it difficult to share this important information to everyone it could benefit! I deal with Hemiplegic Migraines, worsened by barametric pressure changes of monsoon season in the high desert, added to massive grief, & the numb depression that follows it , this interview was a Gift to me! I’ve said thought patterns in the brain are like erosion on a dirt hill when it rains. At first when the rain falls, it creates small crevices of erosion in the hill. The next time it rains, the water will flow in those same crevices making them deeper and wider. The same goes for the brain creating neural pathways as a particular response to something happening. To change negative thinking, you have to consciously stop those negative thoughts and replace them with better thoughts, thereby creating different neural pathways.

Your show would stand tall on it's own merits, as would you as a host without all the profanity. It degrades you, your show, your subject matter as well as your guests. Tom, I love your interviewing style. You are a great listener and allow your guest to speak and answer your questions without interrupting. You sit still, giving your full attention. You don't finish their sentences, which I love. But you're also not afraid to point out that you aren't familiar with something or don't know something. That's very appealing and calming to watch. I'm just going to use his initials so as not to blast him out, but LH constantly interrupts, talks over, exhales loudly, heavy sighs, finishes his guest sentences and says things like, "uh huh, yeah, right" not just once or twice here and there but throughout the entire interview. It's very distracting. Great stuff here as always!

      I used to feel sad when someone corrected my English usage. It's true, "Cool, calm, and collected," the "ed" on the end of "collect" is the correct way to say it. But I learned to LOVE CORRECTION NOT ONLY IN ENGLISH, BUT ALSO IN SPANISH! I have a friend who is an EXCELLENT Spanish speaker. She has a Bachelor's from a university in Chile. I asked her to help me improve my Spanish by correcting my mistakes whenever we conversed in the language. She literally took it to heart! As we spoke, she gently stated the correct word! She didn't say, "Oh, that was wrong." She simply stated the correct word. I heard my words corrected many times. I realized the gift she was giving me, so I set my pride aside, welcomed it, and to this day, years later now, she simply says the correct words. I'm happy to say that she adds the correct words less often! I KNOW that it was my willingness to receive correction, my willingness to learn, which allowed me to improve. The willingness to improve is one of the keys to growing intellectually. Our pride must be set aside. improving my English-language usage, and I believe word games and reading improve any language skills! 😀 I have such a long way to go, and English is so complex, there is always room to learn it, for ALL OF US!

    Wow, I love Dr. Jandial's compassion.
    I came here in search of finding out how to reverse childhood conditioning.
    My brother and I are in our 50s. We have always struggled with each other. We are currently in a good place with each other, but when old mindsets pop up, it is very painful for me, and I want to not be around him. We've been estranged on and off for years. And I know we love each other, but we are critical of each other and end up emotionally hurting each other, in spite of our efforts not to.
    He's not toxic. I'm not toxic. We love each other and don't want to manipulate each other for personal gain. Yet criticism prevails most of the time. We'll apologize, overcome wounds, and move on, only to wound each other again.
    Last week I was deeply grieving over this hurt, and am even worn out, and I was praying. It hit me. We've been conditioned.
    Both of us have had childhood trauma due to our parents. I have been on the mental health journey my entire life.
    But I could not figure out this mystery with my brother and me.
    Hearing Dr. Jandial mention the groove absolutely floored me. He has confirmed my revelation that my brother and I have been conditioned to be pitted against each other. We see each other through the lense our parents wanted us to see through.
    Just typing this gives me a strained chest. It's sickening and so very sad, and painful.
    Now. Now I can proceed with seeking help in this, and I am hopeful my brother will be interested.
    But at least I can pursue this. I am truly encouraged, and feel hope that we might finally overcome this hurtful relationship.
    I can definitely see that it's going to take work. But, we've limped along our whole lives the way we are. I am desperate to put the work in.
    Maybe if my brother sees a change in me, he'll jump on this too.
    But I'll worry about me for now. Again, I'm very, very encouraged to learn this.
    Thank you, Tom, for this excellent talk.
    I love y'all's channels and watch frequently.

    *_Quality deep sleep_* is one of the most rejuvenating things we can do for our mind

    • @Tina-lf5cf
      @Tina-lf5cf 4 года назад +24

      yes, I agree good quality deep sleep is very rejuvenating and also regenerating. What I also find very powerful for rejuvenating and regenerating the body is doing a long fast. Today (July 11, I just started a 30 day water and green vegetable juice fast. For my 30 day fast that I started today, I will mostly only have good quality natural spring water, herbal tea very occasionally and just have a little bit of green vegetable juice very occasionally as well ( for example: cucumber juice and kale juice).
      Most of the day I will be fasting with only drinking good quality natural spring water.
      I will also focus on getting to sleep early and getting deep good quality sleep and benefit from the awesome benefits of sleep. I will also focus on walking, yoga, dancing, meditation and consciously creating my life moment by moment instead of being in auto pilot. I believe that many of us in life are on auto pilot and are also severely addicted to food. I have been doing a tremendous amount of daily intermittent fasting for the past 3 years and I have seen over and over again that when I fast with drinking only natural spring water, I feel soooooooooooooo much more energy, more clarity of mind, more focus, more flexibility, more telepathic, more divinely connected with all people and source, my skin looks younger, my hair becomes fuller and softer, ……..
      Therefore today I begin a 30 day awesome experimental adventure of seeing what a 30 day fast with only drinking good quality natural spring water, very occasional green vegetable juice and very occasional herbal tea, as I described above will do in powerfully rejuvenating and regenerating the body. I believe we can be so much more than we all are physically, mentally and spiritually. I look forward to feeling and seeing the magic of fasting in my body and in my life. I will share all the wonderful awesomeness of my fast here for us all to learn and benefit together. Life is wonderful. Lets be all that we can be physically, mentally and spiritually. I believe we can all live a lot longer than we do. I believe that we do not have to dye with sickness or disease. Our body is always healing and regenerating. I believe it is us that destroys our body with what we put into our body and with what we do to our body.

I think Tom is going to have to practice training himself to show exclamation with a larger vocabulary. He’s been so focused on bringing us the awesome content, he maybe hasn’t worked on his own vocabulary? Just trying to help. I love his purpose and appreciate all he’s done to bring us life-changing information. I follow all of his interviews and he does interject often. He is so right about the nose at 9:00. I was making perfumes late at night one evening with lemon scent essential oils. That stuff kept me up the whole damn night, no extra coffee. Also 43:00 breathing...just, using oxygen and breath to consciously change how your sympathetic nervous system talks to your brain really helps a lot. I have some issues with rage every now and then but if I just make myself exhale slowly a few times, it takes me out of the rage spiral that you can get locked into if you're holding your breath or breathing too shallowly (angry breathing) I don't even remember what I was pissed off about earlier this morning, while at work, (probably just customers being stupid or not getting a response from someone I contacted/feeling ignored) but I did my "ttthhhhhh" sound breathing (you do not need to buy an $80 flute lol) to make myself exhale slower and by god it works.

    The knowledge shared in this video is SO needed! And I love how the good doctor communicates so kindly to us lay people. I also appreciate how the discussion is organized and sectioned in the description box. And I don't care how "prudish" this sounds to some, but I was offended by the useless utility of profanity. So not necessary. Just my opinion.

    Loved this doctor's insights a lot, and want to watch him speaking in a different platform..Was getting thrown off when I was listening.. I don't know if Tom was having an off day, he was getting under my skin in this interview.. He seemed kind of aggressive, cutting Dr. Rahul off and yes for me personally I find when people use F word like any other word, to me I find the person sounds less intelligent.. We all definitely have different opinions and that okay people.. Do you and let others do them.. Anyways all and all I want to hear more from Dr. Rahul.. Very interested in the brain too!! He seemed genuinely so interested in the topic, and it doesn’t show limited mindset or unintelligence. People who let swear words slip during a conversation like this tend to be more honest. And I agree with him; this is super f***ing interesting ☺️

      I agree-the swearing caught me off guard during a “professional” albeit conversational interview. It is so distracting and then I lose track of what comes after because I start looking at the doctor you are interviewing to see if he’s shocked, thrown-off or bothered by you swearing, then I’m further distracted. Hoping you will re-think your choice to swear going forward-in fact, knowing you are so controlled with your behaviors, I’m even more curious as to why you select to swear! I know Tony Robbins does it (and he intentionally uses swearing to bring attention or shock the listener into something that he wants to highlight) but I still am bothered and distracted by it no matter who is using it or why!

      Eva Galvez - The f bomb dropping every few mins by Tom was unprofessional and uncool - agreed there. But if you can't see through the propaganda this dr is spewing, you are missing the greater problems in this interview. He is very cute too so that will help distract ppl away from the truth as well. So please tell us what is so good about his info - that you understood 'more deeply' and took 'more seriously'? Just b/c someone ACTS professional doesn't mean they are. Let me tell you what the brain really needs and I don't have to be a brain surgeon to inform you of this:
      We use our emotions and biases to believe in others or support them instead of accessing our critical thinking skills to filter out where they go astray like this dr did b/c he really swims out to sea to play w/ the sharks and those who are better informed will see through this right from the jump. Now, if the doc had talked about how to improve these issues of how bias hijacks real thinking, and he did it w/out all the new age propaganda, etc, it would be 'deeply great and taken more seriously', but he did not so why are folks so impressed w/ all this stuff? I mean this w/ respect and not attacking your opinion. :)
