I've been a drummer for over 50 years and also a trained musician. I find that the combination of using all four limbs, plus fingers, and the cognitive demands have kept me sharp and vital into my seventies.
Been drumming for more than 10 and hope to do it the rest of my life. I dont think ill ever forget this comment, thanks my dude, live long and prosper 🖖
@Heloise O'Byrne I haven’t gone for testing but have mentioned it to the doctor-he just nods-I guess they figure it comes with age-I Will try some dietary modifications and see if that helps first-limits my playing (left hand fingers are effected)-thanks for the reminders
@Heloise O'Byrne thank you so much for this comment! I wrote my endwork (thesis) at university about the link between music and language whereby musicality seats much deeper than language interwoven in the brain. Yet, not only promotors and teachers were not interested but also rejected what i was trying to show. Nevertheless, behind my back i noticed their interest through various online platforms. I got a 12 out of 20! Just enough to pass my master in translation. Nevertheless i do think my work deserved a higher score. But non of them had studied music, so they did not really understand much. --- Yes please, get our oldies out of these terrible homes and spoil them with live music and contacts with animals. I saw it for my own mum, how happy she became with music or when she had the opportunity to carress a cat, dog, sheep. These homes are terrible! We need a more HUMAN society inclusive all ages! I got my university degree at 60 and am studying tonal percussion for the rest of my life.
I'd like to learn how to build and maintain that in a realistic and sustainable way, but there's so much negativity around and within me that I don't know where to start
@@CursedWheelieBin set an intention to be present and think about something you are grateful for. We cannot control those around us but we can control our inside very well.
@@CursedWheelieBin what I've started doing is setting aside time for gratitude no matter how big or small. whenever I start feeling negativity coming in, I see it, I acknowledge it, I understand why it's happening, and try to reframe it in my mind. I have anxiety and depression and I found it best to actively try and work through it
As someone with both OCD and depression, this reflects my experience so far. I saw improvements when I started to focus on emotions rather than instinctively intellectualizing constantly.
Tom. My brother shot himself 8 years ago. My dad felt guilty as ever and isisted we clean the mess up. My father insisted suicide was wrong and yet 5 years later he shot himself twice. I found him like that after months of begging him to go to rehab and not die. Your channel along with many other things has helped me find the light. Thanks
I’ve been on keto and intermittent fasting for the past 6 months. I’ve lost the extra 30 pounds that I’d gained from being in a wheelchair with a shattered leg last year. And the bonus was clear thinking, more happiness, and feeling better overall.
This information is incredible! Just a note; on the F word! I use it as commas myself, but, Sincerely, it detracts ones attention away from this great interview, it's so out of context, & makes it difficult to share this important information to everyone it could benefit! ( I have 500+ friends on fb, many business associates that I do not speak freely arround - I shared it anyway!.) I needed to hear this right now! I deal with Hemiplegic Migraines, worsened by barametric pressure changes of monsoon season in the high desert, added to massive grief, & the numb depression that follows it , this interview was a Gift to me! I opened up You tube, & it was the first thing I saw! Spirit brings us exactly what we need! Thank You!
Karen Shunk I suffer like you do. I sent it to people. The cursing is forgivable because of the content. Obviously you feel that way You sent it out also. I am encouraged by this different perspective. More empowering than I’ve heard elsewhere.
This man enjoys using the f word. Be grateful for the interview, the platform he's created and shared. The world is beautiful learn to pay attention to the good. Focusing on what's good makes the bad less of a physical event.
The guy obviously likes to think he is an intellectual but using the F word makes him seem so ignorant and undisciplined. I doubt I would ever bother watching anything else from him because he does not have the decency to use clean language in a public environment.
Wow, I love Dr. Jandial's compassion. I came here in search of finding out how to reverse childhood conditioning. My brother and I are in our 50s. We have always struggled with each other. We are currently in a good place with each other, but when old mindsets pop up, it is very painful for me, and I want to not be around him. We've been estranged on and off for years. And I know we love each other, but we are critical of each other and end up emotionally hurting each other, in spite of our efforts not to. He's not toxic. I'm not toxic. We love each other and don't want to manipulate each other for personal gain. Yet criticism prevails most of the time. We'll apologize, overcome wounds, and move on, only to wound each other again. Last week I was deeply grieving over this hurt, and am even worn out, and I was praying. It hit me. We've been conditioned. Both of us have had childhood trauma due to our parents. I have been on the mental health journey my entire life. But I could not figure out this mystery with my brother and me. Hearing Dr. Jandial mention the groove absolutely floored me. He has confirmed my revelation that my brother and I have been conditioned to be pitted against each other. We see each other through the lense our parents wanted us to see through. Just typing this gives me a strained chest. It's sickening and so very sad, and painful. Now. Now I can proceed with seeking help in this, and I am hopeful my brother will be interested. But at least I can pursue this. I am truly encouraged, and feel hope that we might finally overcome this hurtful relationship. I can definitely see that it's going to take work. But, we've limped along our whole lives the way we are. I am desperate to put the work in. Maybe if my brother sees a change in me, he'll jump on this too. But I'll worry about me for now. Again, I'm very, very encouraged to learn this. Thank you, Tom, for this excellent talk. I love y'all's channels and watch frequently.
I think it may be useful for you @kellyc to read/audible books by Robert Schwartz called “Your Soul’s Plan” and “Your Soul’s Gift”… may be useful for both you and your brother? X
Tom, I love your videos. I work as a teacher and my husband is a principal in different high schools. When you use the Fword in your interviews, it limits our ability to use these videos in the classroom. If you could just remove that word, your videos could have such a greater impact with young people in the schools. We want to use your videos to help impact youth. We can talk about concepts, but we would love to use the actual interviews in the classroom and using the fword limits our ability to do that. Thanks for all you do.
@@contrerasmcr100 Hey Miguel that's not cool... this is a constructive channel, and her observation is right! I don't know why you got to swear on her...it's unnecessary.
Find another source for your classroom or ask for a modified version, but to ask Tom or anyone to change their way of communicating shows a lack of understanding in what learning is all about. Don't kill the messenger!
As many others have noted as well, please stop the cussing, Tom. I don't know why you suddenly started effing and blinding (as they say here in England), but you let yourself down and bring down the tone of your show. It's not cool, it's just vulgar and dumb. I'm no prude, trust me. In fact, I'm a rather anarchic, fucking hell-raiser, but this is an intellectual format and show, and the cussing isn't appropriate here. IMHO. Thanks for all you do! You are the best interviewer! You always ask relevant questions and never try to steal the limelight. You ask a concise question and then you shut your mouth and let the guest answer in detail. Perfect interviewer! You're awesome!
Words are words. People are authentic. When someone goes through a true emotional, AHA moment they say what they want. It is his channel. Who are you to say this isn't a proper format. If you don't like it, watch something else - to be offended by a "curse" word is silly. grow up
@@dillonbrooks7807 - t's not about being offended - it's about being turned off and having the energy and focus of the interview be hijacked by childish punkish banter that doesn't fit w/ this type of talk. You don't get it b/c maybe you're very young or just very immature yourself...? Maybe ppl could 'grow up' a bit more by really seeing into what happened here instead of making blind judgments on this by assuming those of us who don't agree w/ the cursing in this interview are being judgmental... There is a big diff btw. judgment and 'discernment' and when a person is a real 'grown up' - adult - etc - he or she is aware that there is a time & place for all things. As a writer and journalist, I interview ppl all the time, & I know how to modify my language and behavior according to where I am and who I am with. This is also called common sense and children who act infantile and refuse to level up to other adults don't get this. Also to your first comment - Words are NOT 'just words' - they carry weight and power but it's all in how we use and respond to them that gives us true power and FOCUSED purpose in our lives. But blind and deaf folks will go on acting infantile.... (sighing and smh as I sign out)...
Tom, your message at the end struck home. It is 2:24 am, can't sleep worrying about my 25 year old daughter and the path she is headed down due to drugs. I listen to your motivational video in the morning while making coffee. It is sometimes the only thing I have to help me through the day. Never thought I would come to this point in my life of feeling so lost and hopeless.
I pray that your daughter will be free from drugs and you will find comfort in knowing that sometimes there are things in life we can’t control and that you will find strength God bless
Fascinating! I’ve definitely noticed one thing for sure, I used to always feel behind in life, as if I couldn’t keep up with learning everything I needed to know fast enough. But my curiosity and interest in a wide variety of things was insatiable and the faster I learned more, the more I learned faster. It’s amazing to experience the brain rewiring itself and expanding, like a muscle tearing and then rebuilding itself to be better equipped to handle the jobs it’s given.
We miss you Christine, when are you coming back to Maui? You truly inspire us. I remember when I ran into you at TJ Max, was so cute! Come visit us soon!
Christine! Congrats on tuning your emotions towards your inner being who made your flesh to magically dance with your Soul and holds your curiosity, interests, dreams and desires eternally! Congrats on you not looking towards others for who and what you truly are! Well, you have to know what you do not want, in order to know what you truly do desire! Thanks for sharing this!
Yeah he doesnt get the art at all. It was so forced. Gotta sound natural and in the right context. This sounded like a big nerd trying to be cool in front of the cool kids.
Yeah, I actually think that the Dr. was so embarrassed for Tom, that after a few f-bombs were tossed, the Dr. through in ONE f-bomb himself, so that Tom wouldn't look so bad and feel so lame. The Dr. is a very charitable guy, clearly. One. Even charity has a limit.
Yeah, it looks like he was trying to use what maybe he had heard or read about "not giving a fuck" and decided to show that he does "not give a fuck" by swearing.. Except his swearing came from a place of trying too hard instead of naturally using swear words. Hopefully he read the comments and learned from this.
What a brilliant doctor. Thanks for having him on. It's so refreshing. WHAT IS NOT REFRESHING IS YUR CUSSING...... & how humble he is to overlook it..... Just stop tom. Have some respect for this brilliant doctor. Thank you both great interview.🙏🦋
I used to feel sad when someone corrected my English usage. It's true, "Cool, calm, and collected," the "ed" on the end of "collect" is the correct way to say it. But I learned to LOVE CORRECTION NOT ONLY IN ENGLISH, BUT ALSO IN SPANISH! I have a friend who is an EXCELLENT Spanish speaker. She has a Bachelor's from a university in Chile. I asked her to help me improve my Spanish by correcting my mistakes whenever we conversed in the language. She literally took it to heart! As we spoke, she gently stated the correct word! She didn't say, "Oh, that was wrong." She simply stated the correct word. I heard my words corrected many times. I realized the gift she was giving me, so I set my pride aside, welcomed it, and to this day, years later now, she simply says the correct words. I'm happy to say that she adds the correct words less often! I KNOW that it was my willingness to receive correction, my willingness to learn, which allowed me to improve. The willingness to improve is one of the keys to growing intellectually. Our pride must be set aside. improving my English-language usage, and I believe word games and reading improve any language skills! 😀 I have such a long way to go, and English is so complex, there is always room to learn it, for ALL OF US!
Love this Doctor! What an Intelligent Inspiring guy who seems down to earth. He explains complicated things in a simple understandable way. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
yes, I agree good quality deep sleep is very rejuvenating and also regenerating. What I also find very powerful for rejuvenating and regenerating the body is doing a long fast. Today (July 11, I just started a 30 day water and green vegetable juice fast. For my 30 day fast that I started today, I will mostly only have good quality natural spring water, herbal tea very occasionally and just have a little bit of green vegetable juice very occasionally as well ( for example: cucumber juice and kale juice). Most of the day I will be fasting with only drinking good quality natural spring water. I will also focus on getting to sleep early and getting deep good quality sleep and benefit from the awesome benefits of sleep. I will also focus on walking, yoga, dancing, meditation and consciously creating my life moment by moment instead of being in auto pilot. I believe that many of us in life are on auto pilot and are also severely addicted to food. I have been doing a tremendous amount of daily intermittent fasting for the past 3 years and I have seen over and over again that when I fast with drinking only natural spring water, I feel soooooooooooooo much more energy, more clarity of mind, more focus, more flexibility, more telepathic, more divinely connected with all people and source, my skin looks younger, my hair becomes fuller and softer, …….. Therefore today I begin a 30 day awesome experimental adventure of seeing what a 30 day fast with only drinking good quality natural spring water, very occasional green vegetable juice and very occasional herbal tea, as I described above will do in powerfully rejuvenating and regenerating the body. I believe we can be so much more than we all are physically, mentally and spiritually. I look forward to feeling and seeing the magic of fasting in my body and in my life. I will share all the wonderful awesomeness of my fast here for us all to learn and benefit together. Life is wonderful. Lets be all that we can be physically, mentally and spiritually. I believe we can all live a lot longer than we do. I believe that we do not have to dye with sickness or disease. Our body is always healing and regenerating. I believe it is us that destroys our body with what we put into our body and with what we do to our body.
I agree and as far as I’ve seen many doctors don’t seem to get this. Recently I have been taking melatonin and it has been great help to get a deeper sleep.
The Doctor was as surprised as I was to hear the lack of respect and professionalism in the interviewer's language. if you want to engage this kind of audience, raising to our level is a must!
I agree with you. Total lack of respect! That language is unnecessary and uncool. Some people will probably say oh of you don’t like his style you don’t have to be on his channel but that’s a very negative mindset
I’ve listened to quite a few of your shows, and I have to say this is one of my top favorites. It is brilliant. He’s Doesn’t seem to be just an educated guy who talks with big words and is arrogant in his knowledge. instead, he seems open. He’s open to possibilities. His knowledge isn’t the end all be all. I also like the way he refers to his sons. He’s looking to the future. Wisdom mixed with knowledge and common sense… What a combination. Add to that fascination and you’ve got a winning combination. Thanks so much
This interview is filled with many gems. Tom alway does a great job digging deep. My only criticism is Tom's use of the F word. It usually seems forced and net neccessary in enforcing the point he is making. I feel It takes away from the I intelligence of the conversation slightly. Perhaps its strategic but it doesnt seem natural.
agreed! Why throw the F word around when your guest is not cursing. Show some respect. And do less talking and let your special guest do most of the talking. Asking questions is important but taking over is just silly. This guy knows his stuff, let him speak. Thank you!
So interesting to hear these concepts again (I did a Masters in Cognitive Neuroscience in 2012) and I always explain plasticity like wearing down the grass in a field by walking it again and again, then it becomes a ditch/trench...
I love your work Tom. You are amazing in so many ways and your positive influence on thousands of people is huge. A top class presenter of rare ability and skill. The only thing that I can think of that could enhance your interviews would be eliminating the ‘F’ word when speaking to dignified luminaries.
Fascinating guest. The points he made were beyond incredible. I’ll surely go and check out his books. This has to be my favorite interview out of all the great interviews you’ve made. Thank you for making this video!
Without taking away from this brillaint discussion. It is excellent to see so many people especially in this modern age asking for the F word to be dropped. A glimmer of hope for society.
This guy is so freaking cool!! He seems like he would talk to anyone without judgment…. Meaning… he’s so intelligent but reminds me of some guy who could be on a corner , chopping it up with street thugs and everyone would love him…. I could hear him speak about the brain for hours…..fascinating!
I love your show. Sometimes you won’t let the speaker continue their thought though, which is frustrating. Also please stop asking questions which always relate to you, and ask questions that the viewers would like to hear.
I love the Dr.'s opinions of how if we can do things differently, that is a good thing. Often the world, including the medical world gets stuck in the norm. Our brains/bodies/minds are a garden and the potential for growth is unlimited.
Tom, I love your interviewing style. You are a great listener and allow your guest to speak and answer your questions without interrupting. You sit still, giving your full attention. You don't finish their sentences, which I love. But you're also not afraid to point out that you aren't familiar with something or don't know something. That's very appealing and calming to watch. I'm just going to use his initials so as not to blast him out, but LH constantly interrupts, talks over, exhales loudly, heavy sighs, finishes his guest sentences and says things like, "uh huh, yeah, right" not just once or twice here and there but throughout the entire interview. It's very distracting. Great stuff here as always!
My most amazing memories were made while on LSD, I saw the beauty all around me. Endless laughing by myself, I felt my own best friend, my own company was ENOUGH. I walked on clouds my first LSD trip, as if I were truly weightless. I didn’t feel the stress in each step I took, instead I felt the earth...for the first time in my life I felt the earth and I saw her too, and I heard her all around me. Speaking to me, when I closed my eyes I saw myself glowing like a white light around myself in my brain, I was beautiful without looking in the mirror.
I loved Doctor Rahul’s humility and how down-to-earth he seems. I really enjoyed this interview. I love all of your interviews, Tom, but in this one you seemed quite restless and you were cutting off the doctor before he finished some of his sentences. I am sure this was not done intentionally, but definitely something to be mindful of in your future interviews.
Loved this interview! Dr Rahul has such a down to earth and effortless way of expressing his perspective on this complex subject. I am so intrigued and eager to improve my daily life by re-routing my brain! Thank you for asking such thought provoking questions, Tom! This one is going in my favorites 💖
He is so right about the nose at 9:00. I was making perfumes late at night one evening with lemon scent essential oils. That stuff kept me up the whole damn night, no extra coffee. Also 43:00 breathing...just, using oxygen and breath to consciously change how your sympathetic nervous system talks to your brain really helps a lot. I have some issues with rage every now and then but if I just make myself exhale slowly a few times, it takes me out of the rage spiral that you can get locked into if you're holding your breath or breathing too shallowly (angry breathing) I don't even remember what I was pissed off about earlier this morning, while at work, (probably just customers being stupid or not getting a response from someone I contacted/feeling ignored) but I did my "ttthhhhhh" sound breathing (you do not need to buy an $80 flute lol) to make myself exhale slower and by god it works.
*Always extract the root of the problem.* Adding things here and there, won't help one in the long run. Make sure you know what you want in life and move towards it, by holding the promise to yourself.
@@GK-ui8fv your right he does swear alot. I didnt really notice myself, I come from a family of severe potty mouths so it kinda just slips by me without knowing
Hi Tom. I just wanted you to know that your show comes off as very professionally produced , the content very informative and your guests are amazing. Your show would stand tall on it's own merits, as would you as a host without all the profanity. It degrades you, your show, your subject matter as well as your guests. And besides, it would likely have no ill effects to clean up the language, and it would be a kindness to those who truly appreciate you and what you do, but are put off by the language. Keep up the great work!
I was shocked by his language. I thought it was inappropriate and out of place. He's not playing darts, drinking beer with his boys. He is speaking to a highly intelligent man. And he also is an intelligent guy.
Loved this doctor's insights a lot, and want to watch him speaking in a different platform..Was getting thrown off when I was listening.. I don't know if Tom was having an off day, he was getting under my skin in this interview.. He seemed kind of aggressive, cutting Dr. Rahul off and yes for me personally I find when people use F word like any other word, to me I find the person sounds less intelligent.. We all definitely have different opinions and that okay people.. Do you and let others do them.. Anyways all and all I want to hear more from Dr. Rahul.. Very interested in the brain too!! Interesting.. ✌️ 💞
People who use cursewords don’t have a very large vocabulary, and they’re not very intelligent. I think they’re trying to relate to the masses who’s intellectual level is under the ninth grade.
@@beckyweaver5981 So right on point, exactly! I Thought this individual picks some very amazing, talented and brilliant speakers, how can they take him serious! He seems like a total jerk and very aggressive, I guess that's the only way he can possibly get some attention, if any and not in a good way! Duh, and yuck, he sounds like a dishwasher from a low class restaurant. Get a grip guy!
This is probably the most tuned in I’ve been in a while! This was such an amazing interview ! You do a great job at bringing out the creativity of the person you’re interviewing. Thanks Tom and Rahul. By the way I’m most definitely diving into Rahul’s book Neuro Fitness
Tom, although I thought this interview was super interesting your swearing alone took away so much, it is your platform so you can do as you please but it really is taking away from how well done this could have been. It feels like a very knowledgeable person trying to share his insight talking to a teenager.
Sadly he knows no other way to express himself. Every interview he does is the same. Must be insulting to his guests to listen to his immaturity. This doctor is so professional. Then there’s Tom…. Lol
Watching this 2 years after it was published and Tom as really changed the way he interviews, matured greatly. I didn’t actually notice the f bombs because the Dr was so fascinating!
The knowledge shared in this video is SO needed! And I love how the good doctor communicates so kindly to us lay people. I also appreciate how the discussion is organized and sectioned in the description box. And I don't care how "prudish" this sounds to some, but I was offended by the useless utility of profanity. So not necessary. Just my opinion.
@@jalemairliha Thanks for the tip. This confition he has is almost like having that swearing disease. ( I forget what it is called.) People with the with the affliction have jerky motions, then swear or use vulgarity. It is a form of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).

This interview really challenged my mind to focus. This is all new information, but key to getting where I want to be. I have to take care of mind, body and soul.
I’ve said thought patterns in the brain are like erosion on a dirt hill when it rains. At first when the rain falls, it creates small crevices of erosion in the hill. The next time it rains, the water will flow in those same crevices making them deeper and wider. The same goes for the brain creating neural pathways as a particular response to something happening. To change negative thinking, you have to consciously stop those negative thoughts and replace them with better thoughts, thereby creating different neural pathways.
Thank you so much for these vids. As an older person who rejected cable long ago, these have been an invaluable source of awareness of some of the highest quality cultural thinkers in our world today. I would not even have been aware of some of them without your channel and You Tube as a whole. Food for my mind and soul.
Man this was tough to watch. I enjoyed the first half when the guest was speaking but after that it's like Tom got bored and started cutting off and interrupting the Dr. and dropping random F bombs. Like WTF Tom?! Did David Gogging's swearing rub off on you?!
So many people jump so quick on the negativity, so concerned about the “quality and professionalism” yet Tom’s show offers us so many great ideas from hundreds of beautifully gifted minds in this ever growing world. The irony is everyone ranting is training themselves to notice the negativity. Food for thought
I liked this discussion however, I don’t think it’s necessary for you to swear so much. The doctor certainly didn’t swear and his message was understood more deeply and taken more seriously.
Eva Galvez - The f bomb dropping every few mins by Tom was unprofessional and uncool - agreed there. But if you can't see through the propaganda this dr is spewing, you are missing the greater problems in this interview. He is very cute too so that will help distract ppl away from the truth as well. So please tell us what is so good about his info - that you understood 'more deeply' and took 'more seriously'? Just b/c someone ACTS professional doesn't mean they are. Let me tell you what the brain really needs and I don't have to be a brain surgeon to inform you of this: We use our emotions and biases to believe in others or support them instead of accessing our critical thinking skills to filter out where they go astray like this dr did b/c he really swims out to sea to play w/ the sharks and those who are better informed will see through this right from the jump. Now, if the doc had talked about how to improve these issues of how bias hijacks real thinking, and he did it w/out all the new age propaganda, etc, it would be 'deeply great and taken more seriously', but he did not so why are folks so impressed w/ all this stuff? I mean this w/ respect and not attacking your opinion. :)
A supersharp brain sharpens the brows automatically like mine are and bright men tend to have black brows until very late in the decades sometimes up to 90 lower IQ people get white eyebrows early on
A powerful session , first a comment and suggestion to the facilitator. It's a professional interview , please afrain from using the F....word, in the section " Depression " , no need to. This is such an experienced, knowledgeable, Speaker...Neuroscience is the essence of who we are, why we behave and the Key to understanding ourselves and the world we live in. THATS an understatement of its power
I know all the comments are very heavy concerning the F word being used so frequently. This information was so mind blowing that I found myself having the same reaction, without the profanity. I think Tom is going to have to practice training himself to show exclamation with a larger vocabulary. He’s been so focused on bringing us the awesome content, he maybe hasn’t worked on his own vocabulary? Just trying to help. I love his purpose and appreciate all he’s done to bring us life-changing information. I follow all of his interviews and he does interject often. Interrupting is a sign of intelligence, ADHD, narcissism; there are just so many reasons why, but being able to control impulse is another sign of a high intelligence and from what we just learned if you exercise your brain one can learn anything, so…
Thankyou forthis motivational video , my mind becomes dull when I am around negative people ,who discourage me when I do something good .I love to b with people who support and encourage me

Thank you for this! This is life changing and I like that the handsome Doc seems to challenge us to have a generational mindset ! Just wish Tom would stop swearing...

I loved the interview but the foul language of the host was so distracting. I felt disrespected and even psychologically attacked when I was exposed to the foul language. Tom seems to be such an intelligent man, and I am sure he is able to express himself and demonstrate his charm without F words
The doctor himself swears in the video. It's the real world don't watch anything on RUclips stick to censored television if that triggers you. It's not everyone's responsibility to bend & cater to YOUR triggers. YOUR triggers are your responsibility.
You a Mormon??? Anyways, research shows that people who cuss actually have a broader vocabulary. Soooooooooooo you insinuating people who talk that way aren’t intelligent or sound dumb is stupid beyond belief. Many wise guys will use the word fuck. My gosh 😂
"Psychologically attacked" / "disrespected" Wow. Talking about recorded interwiev with people that I assume you dont even know personally. Allthought we can agree on that the host/guest cursing during published interwiev, is a clear indication of childish inmature behavour.
I didn’t even notice the swearing until I saw so many comments about it. I think you all really need to calm down. And I agree with him; this is super f***ing interesting ☺️

Powerful stuff right here! When the mind isn't strong, negative behaviors start to spring up. Having a positive mindset is everything.

Thank You!
Karen Shunk totally agree! there is a beautiful eloquent flow and then BOOM for no reason! Im use it to, but not in this kind of setting!
Karen Shunk I suffer like you do. I sent it to people. The cursing is forgivable because of the content. Obviously you feel that way You sent it out also. I am encouraged by this different perspective. More empowering than I’ve heard elsewhere.
I agree. Well said!

Hate that F word.
As many others have noted as well, please stop the cussing, Tom. I don't know why you suddenly started effing and blinding (as they say here in England), but you let yourself down and bring down the tone of your show. It's not cool, it's just vulgar and dumb. Perfect interviewer! You're awesome!
Words are words. People are authentic. When someone goes through a true emotional, AHA moment they say what they want. It is his channel. Who are you to say this isn't a proper format. If you don't like it, watch something else - to be offended by a "curse" word is silly. grow up

Maybe ppl could 'grow up' a bit more by really seeing into what happened here instead of making blind judgments on this by assuming those of us who don't agree w/ the cursing in this interview are being judgmental...

Cool, calm and collected 😊

Soothing on the eyes
Read his book, it is amazing

*_Quality deep sleep_* is one of the most rejuvenating things we can do for our mind
yes, I agree good quality deep sleep is very rejuvenating and also regenerating.
Agreed
you do that by doing intermittent fasting.

Thank you!
You are more intelligent because you refrain from using F word?
Tom has some very interesting and intelligent guests. His cussing and use of the F word detracts from his lack of vocabulary.

@@21Cauzzie yeah it put a bad taste in my eyes. wtf

Tom, although I thought this interview was super interesting your swearing alone took away so much, it is your platform so you can do as you please but it really is taking away from how well done this could have been. It feels like a very knowledgeable person trying to share his insight talking to a teenager.
Are we watching the same interview, this is a great conversation ,very informative, relax and take a chill pill,
@@gerardperez3101 its called constructive criticism, everyone's entitled to their own opinion if he put it out for the world to see
Sadly he knows no other way to express himself. Every interview he does is the same.
Must be insulting to his guests to listen to his immaturity.
This doctor is so professional. Then there’s Tom…. Lol
I agree. The swearing is a turn off
@@gerardperez3101 ladies are listening too. Do you cuss in front of a Lady?
What a great episode! Hadn't heard of Rahul before.. Definitely going to do some Mind Map videos on his books!
Ethan Schwandt - The Mind Map Guy he’s got a podcast too.
@@kbflorida888 Awesome I will check it out.. Any advice on what episode to start with?
Watching this 2 years after it was published and Tom as really changed the way he interviews, matured greatly. I didn’t actually notice the f bombs because the Dr was so fascinating!
The knowledge shared in this video is SO needed! And I love how the good doctor communicates so kindly to us lay people. I also appreciate how the discussion is organized and sectioned in the description box. And I don't care how "prudish" this sounds to some, but I was offended by the useless utility of profanity. So not necessary. Just my opinion.
Alot of people were offended by his swearing
@@deenadream i hope he reads comnents. It is undignfied with high quality guests.
@@jalemairliha Thanks for the tip. This confition he has is almost like having that swearing disease. ( I forget what it is called.) People with the with the affliction have jerky motions, then swear or use vulgarity. It is a form of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).

After I got a concussion, I started to focus on how to improve my brain function. This interview helped a lot! Thanks for everything!
Me to
This interview really challenged my mind to focus. This is all new information, but key to getting where I want to be. I have to take care of mind, body and soul.
I strongly recommend Dr Joe Dispenza and also Gregg Braden.
100% agree!
A LOT of GOODNESS going on here!!!
This Dr. has me literally feeling better.
Quality Material! 🙏🏼
Man this was tough to watch. I enjoyed the first half when the guest was speaking but after that it's like Tom got bored and started cutting off and interrupting the Dr. and dropping random F bombs. Like WTF Tom?! Did David Gogging's swearing rub off on you?!
Arturo Torres Obviously, he thinks it's cool to swear. IT ISN'T! It makes him look like a LOSER! 👎🏼
@@andreavanda4722 yeah I agree, I cant listen to some of these because of the language which is a shame.
Tom thinks it sounds cool but it threw off the informational high I was on. He killed it.
😭 Y’all Really Have To Grow Up
If you have a problem with the F word, turn the fucking podcast off lol.
So many people jump so quick on the negativity, so concerned about the “quality and professionalism” yet Tom’s show offers us so many great ideas from hundreds of beautifully gifted minds in this ever growing world.
The irony is everyone ranting is training themselves to notice the negativity. Food for thought
Right!!? 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Not to mention it’s FREE content.
The secret is to have fabulous eyebrows
PlayerX those eyebrows, though!!!

LOL. He looks a bit like an Iranian drag queen from "Mortal Kombat."
Repetition. It's TRUE. Once you fall into a deep whole, repetition becomes a habit. A habit of being scared.
Hard to brake that habit.
You can always brake it bro be positive
I liked this discussion however, I don’t think it’s necessary for you to swear so much. The doctor certainly didn’t swear and his message was understood more deeply and taken more seriously.
Eva Galvez Well said.
Let me tell you what the brain really needs and I don't have to be a brain surgeon to inform you of this:
We use our emotions and biases to believe in others or support them instead of accessing our critical thinking skills to filter out where they go astray like this dr did b/c he really swims out to sea to play w/ the sharks and those who are better informed will see through this right from the jump. :)
He's the guest so let him speak. I don't know if he'd want to associate his name with this guy from now on.
Doc happily swore when he was joking (f'ing)
Eva Galvez The doc did swear: 22:35
I loved how the dr explained everything, it was so simple to follow his logic and understand.
Tom Bilyeu you bring so many amazing people with value making the world of difference!
I'm so grateful for you and sharing good work!
This doctor is gorgeous. The eyes, Brows and his hair.
That's why I clicked on this video
😂 so true!
Yup, that's also why I clicked... the guy is like a superhuman! His wife is so lucky!
He's of north Indian origin me thinks.
🔥🔥🔥
Those eyebrows are sculptured perfectly. He had me at those eyebrows.
A supersharp brain sharpens the brows automatically like mine are and bright men tend to have black brows until very late in the decades sometimes up to 90 lower IQ people get white eyebrows early on
No it's his eyes hair bone structure nealy perfect face.
@@MW-fq4ld Calm down you guys.....I can't read while I am laughing so hard. Laughter is good for the brain. I feel better now!
A lot off people like it,I’m sure!
Tom mentioned he is writing a book! Heck yeah, I cannot wait.
Omg! I use to cut his hair a couple of years ago before I left LA! Amazing man and wonderful children! Good to see him in his element!
Thank you for bringing him on. Loved it, except for the distracting "f" words. Your passion adds enough emphasis.
*Installing a trigger to the bad thoughts* 🙏
It’s also really important to get enough sleep, exercise and eat right 😊
This gentlemen would be incredibly intimidating to interview. Thank you for doing it justice!
I know exactly what you mean. Peak human here, and so naturally super smooth (in the best way).
He's one of those fair skinned north Indians.
I think thats why he dropped so many Fbombs!
Interrupting is a sign of intelligence, ADHD, narcissism; there are just so many reasons why, but being able to control impulse is another sign of a high intelligence and from what we just learned if you exercise your brain one can learn anything, so…
Dang, a good looking, super intelligent MD/PhD actor/surgeon/entrepreneur/writer. This is the kind of doctor (and person) I hope to become.

Yes, I totally agree with you.
I loved the interview but the foul language of the host was so distracting. I felt disrespected and even psychologically attacked when I was exposed to the foul language. Tom seems to be such an intelligent man, and I am sure he is able to express himself and demonstrate his charm without F words
Sorry..😂😂.
“Psychologically attacked”
Hope every time you sneeze something says “Bless you!” Or everyone near you for that matter.😉
My gosh 😂
People grow up in different environments. It wasn’t said THAT much lol
"Psychologically attacked" / "disrespected" Wow. Talking about recorded interwiev with people that I assume you dont even know personally. You need help quickly or you will have tremendous trouble and challenges in life that you wont be able to overcome.
Allthought we can agree on that the host/guest cursing during published interwiev, is a clear indication of childish inmature behavour.
Hey Tom, like many others already shared. Please stop swearing! Still I loved the show as I do most of them!
I didn’t even notice the swearing until I saw so many comments about it. I think you all really need to calm down. He seemed genuinely so interested in the topic, and it doesn’t show limited mindset or unintelligence. People who let swear words slip during a conversation like this tend to be more honest. And I agree with him; this is super f***ing interesting ☺️
Blows my f***ing mind!
😂 same 😂
