This is my first time to come across this beginners line danc " got to be funky " and I love it very much, it is so easy to follow coz the instructor is soooooh good in teaching. He does it many times so I can easy follow it coz most of the time I easily forgot, but I like the way he teaches coz he does it 3x0r 4x that way people like me who cannot catch right away had the privilege to learn because he had the time or patience to teach again and again.thank you sooooh much, I learned one more line that's easy and I can share it to my friends like the way you teach it here in RUclips and I was able to learn it with a smile 😃 😊 😀 on my face.thanks again and God bless!
Whilst I don't think absolute beginners would be able for this to begin with, and I'd recommend Stand By Me as a beginner dance, I still think this is a very clear demonstration and I'm sure I could manage it myself, and I'm a pensioner.
@@SocialDanceOnlineWell then, you haven’t seen my students. LOL I can’t get some of them to do a 3 count. Some can only do a 2 count or a 4 count. Some cannot pause after 3 counts, the just keep going, waaaay off beat. Smh 🤦♀️
In the hips 😍 we go up and down and after the first grapevine we do side behind and heel and touch..great teaching live the dance cause you can jazz it up
Wow. My first line dance and I’m rocking it! Thanks. I’m going to see “Cliff and Susan” an amazing fiddle/piano combo (married couple) playing in Santa Barbara right now. They are from Arkansas. I saw them before and I realized I need to line dance to their music. This is the best.
To be honest I'm not 100% sure its exactly like the step sheet. I've been doing this dance for so long that I can't remember. I would trust the step sheet 1st and use the video just as a guide -Brian
Here's another AWESOME Line Dance: ruclips.net/video/1WdGuYeV-Cc/видео.html
I ❤ this one! -Brian
Best professional video for Line Dance. Easy to pick up with this instructor.
Thanks!
You’re a very good teacher!!! I like all the repetition of each 8-count section. Very helpful for this senior’s slowing mind!!
Glad it was helpful! Thank you!
thanks Brian. You are a great teacher!
Hey thanks for the kind words - we try hard! -Brian
Although this would be too advanced for our seniors, I'd have a blast with it!

See you on the dance floor,

Easy for me tq,...
I love the way you broke down the choreo. Can you offer other music choices?
I do believe that you can also do this to up town funk.
Great instructions! Is there a particular song you do this dance to, or did I overlook it?
The song have fun go mad is a good one. But really a lot of different songs work.
Wagon Wheel line dance please
Don't currently know that one. We might be able to get it learned soon.

What is your favorite music to go with Got to be funky?...Thank you
My personal favorite is Uptown Funk by Mark Ronsen ft. Bruno Mars!!! But it can be done to A LOT of songs! -Ms. Emily
Is that an easy version of the dance? Its not what the sheet says..
