- Intel MacBook Pro vs M1 Pro MacBook Pro - Apple slowing Intel Macs down ON PURPOSE!
Apple recently released their new M1 Pro and M1 Max MacBook Pros which are incredible machines. But what happens to the older M1 MacBook Pro and Intel MacBook Pro? Well, I had a suspicion for a long time. And now I've confirmed, Apple releases new software which guarantees your current MacBook Pro to slows down! Yup, that is the only variable I was able to narrow down to. So if your current Intel or M1 MacBook Pro are running slow, watch this video to find out how to make it run faster!

i own the macbook pro 2020 with four thunderbolts and honestly it’s still running like new on os catalina. i remember upgrading to big sur and having battery also overheating issues, luckily i had a backup from catalina which i downgraded back to. but i do believe it’s the os you have installed to your mac which is causing this issue.
Hi Alex!
My 16" 2019 i7 macbook pro completely drains the battery while on sleep even after opting off the power nap option and turning off apps running in the background.
Can you please help me out on how to save its battery on sleep..?
Hi there! I’d recommend getting apple to see if the battery health is doing ok. They did that for me in about 10 mins at the store. Turns out a fresh install solved the problem, they said an app may have caused my battery to behave like it was much older when it was actually still above 80% health.
Thank you!!! I have been a Mac user since 1989 and resisted for over 1.5 years before upgrading my MacBookPro 16 with Monterey... Before I hit the upgrade button I watched some youtube videos and, thanks to your video, I finally desisted from upgrading Catalina to Monterey. You saved me...
To speed up my Mac and avoid throttling, I installed Turbo Boost Switcher (to disable TurboBoost) and TG Pro for more precise fan control, also I created some apps with Automator (Script Shell) to start browsers without GPU acceleration (open /Applications/[app name] --args --disable-gpu), finally I placed the Mac on a stand and work with the clamp closed while the external monitor is connected.
Good idea! Yes it totally killed my i9 completely maxed out, it made it feel like a windows XP machine with 256MB RAM 😂
As always, another awesome video! 100% agree being a power user myself. Very informative video! Loving the hairstyle my friend. 😆😉
Ha ha what hair? 😆 thanks for popping by meu caro!
lol im on monterey and the mount you started speaking about the fans my fans went crazy going back to big sur now lol
Hahah they’re always listening 😂
On an early 2014 MacBook Air, is it safe to upgrade from Yosemite to latest Catalina?
I'd say give it a go but back everything up in case you need to revert...
That's nice of you to provide a TL;DR version but if you're a viewer reading comments, I recommend viewers to watch this from start to finish 🙌
Hey Watts!! Haha appreciate it man 👊🏼 Nice to see you here dude, and great podcast the other day at Jared’s!
Great, informative video Alex! 🔥🔥
Thank you, appreciate it bro!
I wish I could continue running catalina but for my workflow for coding I need to be able to run docker and it doesnt suppor the latest docker and even with old docker versions it just runs horrible
that's why I don't update my Mac. Couldn't be happier with my MBP 2015 and High Sierra and will keep it like this until it dies and may go directly to M2. I tried upgrading two times, hated it and downgraded again. I hate my old iPhone with iOS15. I deeply regret having upgraded because I can't go back. My conclusion is never upgrade an Apple device with more that 2-3 generations of OS.
Yup! That’s definitely been my experience with this one. Couldn’t believe how much faster the intel got just by downgrading it to the original OS
macbook is shit, you cant even update your machine 😂 im downgrading to catalina now
Interesting! Atleast yall are able to keep good performance by using the old firmwares. I was debating on if I should get a MacBook or buy a hp. Might get macbook but not sure
Hey! Does this apply to hackintosh?
This won’t be the first time Apple have done something similar (new OS slows down older devices) and what’s worse is they usually deny it at first, anyway.
It’s all about the Benjamins for Apple! 👎🏻
absolutely! I am sure I won't be getting a call from them any time soon to test their machines but... yeah, no smoke without fire 🤣
Thats's why I stopped giving them my Benjamins over 12 years ago... Went Full blown Ubuntu Linux and been here since. Best part... everything is Free.
ya, but the way they went in order to give people information on battery AND $29 replacement on battery just accepts all liability in one hit. Thats more important "how" they handled it to customers
It’s nice to know you’re been on the Mac lineup since the start I alway thought before YT , you were into windows side.
P.s. I almost thought you switched to windows lol. Tho now I feel windows 11 and Mac OS are head to head…
HAha thanks Aabid! It’s a weird one I’ve used Macs since 97/98 and Windows at work since 1994! So I use both equally really. Recently I’ve used more Macs due to the creative tools I use 👊🏼

Thanks a lot for this video!!! I’m doing this to mine now to see how it performs.
@@patrickduchene3181 I’m sure they do this on purpose! Hope it helps you
Rebuild all intel macs by using high-grade thermal paste(especially GPU area) some technicians also makes even custom cooling under fans to boost performance at best. Good thermal paste even drops 20 degrees or more!
Wow! Thanks for sharing that info, I should have done that, loved my machine when it was running fast!
Hello, which OS should I install on my MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017)?
Hard to say without having that specific machine. But I'd try to go up to Catalina if the hardware is supported for that version. Anything beyond that may slow it down. Which version are you on right now? It came with Mojave right?
@@AlexGTech I've updated to Monterey. I dont know what it came with.. The model is MacBookPro14,1 - Intel i5
@@AlexGTech Probably it came with High Sierra.
I also noticed a big slow down when installing Big Sur, but tracked down the problem to the need to create a brand new user and get rid of the old one. That fixed it for me. Then with Monterey, everything sped up even more. Seems like there was a lot of optimization.
That’s a good tip, I should try that with the M1 Pro! Thank you!
@@AlexGTech To be clear, my machine is the 2019 Mac Pro, not the laptop, but they are both Intel so I'd assume it would be the case for both. And certainly couldn't hurt with the M1 Pro!
Did you transfer data from previous user to new one or did you keep it fresh? I am feeling that my macbook pro 13” is slowing a bit with update especially with sustained loads
I'm on the fence to whether buy the new MBP M1 or stick with my MBP 16 Intel which is in like new condition. I mainly use it for Xcode with Monterey, but no issues with fans or whatsoever. Honestly, It runs great so far. So, no idea whether to splash the cash or wait for M2.
Hey Kal, if it’s running great then I’d save the cash and upgrade for the M2. My Intel was running fairly ok on Big Sur but on Monterey it became unusable on the basic Adobe creative stuff I was using
@@AlexGTech thank you, Alex! Yes, I will wait for the M2 to come out. Love your content!
True i have macbook pro 2018. I downgrade my os to Mojave now its working smooth and battery back up i also increase… more update more power. Then battery drain fast.
I have a 15 pro i9 with good luck. I'm using it and I like it. But I've only used VENTURA on it until today (I got it used). Could it be that if I use CATALINA it flies more? Although for me it is already very fast. I say more in terms of TEMPERATURES too, battery life, etc...
@@_beagle great....
My iMac i5 2019 are almost having same FCP performance with my M1 Max 32GPU, 64gb etc.

i'm using macbook pro 16inc 2019, ram 16gb, ssd 1tb . Should i upgrade to mac os macos ventura??
Should I buy one in 2023?
@@WesleyIsak You should buy M1 or M2. because apple support focus on M1 and M2. Intel chips will gradually become obsolete and will no longer be supported for long!!

I prefer intel. I still use Bootcamp with Windows for games and they run perfectly. Furthermore, I can connect the machine to up to 4 monitors. Very good.
Nice video Alex, hopefully someday I can get into the Mac ecosystem 🤣😅
Thank you! Yeah, it’s a downward spiral when you do 😊 hard to get out!

you are doing it wrong... If you use your machine for content creation, you only update to the next version when the OS hits x.4 or above... Monterrey right now have memory management issues... so, go back to Big Sur, and wait to Monterrey hit 12.4 or 5 or if have patience x.6 is the sweet spot where everything runs smoothly
Rebuild all intel macs by using high-grade thermal paste(especially GPU area) some technicians also makes even custom cooling under fans to boost performance at best. Good thermal paste even drops 20 degrees or more!
If you were able to upgrade the parts I doubt it would be a problem, although it's designed to be not possible. Also, please show the differences instead of just talking about your experiences, might as well count as lying if you don't demonstrate the differences. My macbook Air from 2015 works just fine browsing and watching videos. It was able to play sims4 but always had difficulties because it wasnt meant for gaming, but it actually loads most things.
I have a backup 2015 Macbook Air which is now faster when running Windows 10. It was really fast when new but somehow slowed down after a couple of OS upgrades. Windows 10 bootcamp still flies though.
Amazing right?! I’m scared for my M1 Max now, I bet it will start to slow down with new M2 Macs coming out …
@@AlexGTech 🤣
The strategy that Apple has been utilizing is called plan obsolescence in which they manufacture a product to be used for a specific duration of time after the duration ends and theirs no more support for the product or no more parts for the product this is effectively when Apple will categorize a specific product or group of products as obsolete
This saved my previously-blazing-fast MBP that was chugging along like a broken steam train, thanks for the video!
intend to keep my i5 macbook pro 2019 on catalina
That’s a good approach! I regretted upgrading the intel MBP 👊🏼
Cool outro! 😎
thanks man 👊🏼
Ok from now on I’ll hold off on updates. I did on my iMac but I’ve replaced that with a m1Pro 16”. Maybe next time I’ll go back to a desktop but not for many years.
Definitely worth considering it. Quite a few people have said their Macs ran for longer without slowing down if they kept to the same OS, or at least not the latest
@@AlexGTech I reckon I’ll be alright with the next update but after that they will start to screw me over. They always mess with audio stuff too for reason, it’s annoying as a customer of many poor plug-in manufacturers who have to update every year for no reason.
Alex going all Agent Mulder on this!!
LOL I wonder if Apple will send me the new M2 machines to try out after this video 😂
@@AlexGTech hahahahaha lol
Great video, thanks! If I remember correctly, Apple did slow some older iPhones down few years ago. They said it was for saving the battery, but...
Oh yeah that’s right! I should probably do a video about that too because the same thing happens every year! 👊🏼
i am now on big sur, it is way faster than Catalina. now I dont know if I should update to monetary. iMac (Retina 5K, 27", 2019)
Maybe it's more stable now...
Keeping iPad and iPhone but I’m moving to pc . This is honestly silly. Too much money for this many problems.
Yes. You tried and your theory has a proof. Great video Alex.
Thanks James!! Always had a sneaky suspicion and the fact Apple themselves (genius bar guys 😂) told me to downgrade was a bit of a red flag so I had to try this
I mean what about the possibility that a new OS designed specifically for a transition to new silicon slowed down a machine that is using older, lesser optimized parts. I'd argue your slow down is due to the update to Monterey but not because apple is purposely slowing down your computer. Merely because it's an OS built around their own optimized chips. And while yes, it can run on intel one has to believe they factored more in mind how it would behave on their own chips than someone else's.
My theory.
Yes, this would make sense, it's probably just a cynic in me after so many machines from Apple that have experienced the same. In a way, I was glad that the hardware was fine and the battery was actually in good health, so at least from a hardware perspective they still producing great machines. I'm now running the M1 Max MacBook Pro and loving the speed at which I can export 4K videos. I just hope this lasts 😊
this is not really the case, is it ? They kept selling intel machines until now so if they release an OS that slow an OS no matter what they should be the ones fixing not avoiding.
@@luanmaia I’m not entirely sure how to read or comprehend your comment as there is no punctuation. So I don’t quite get the point you’re trying to make here.
Apple is designing… THEIR OS, to best be optimized for… THEIR hardware. That is the entire purpose for them LEAVING intel and designing their own Silicon. Is it not? Naturally, they know they have to make an OS that can work on both Intel and Apple Silicon. The transition isn’t done yet. So of course. However, since the entire purpose for getting their own silicon was for faster speeds and better machines… do you actually believe that Apple would BASE their OS design on past intel technology? If that were the case, there would be literally zero reason for them to leave intel in the first place. They left intel because it is: LIMITED. So to leave, design your own chip, and then design an OS that is limited by past architecture and not the one you just made is an incredibly stupid thing to do. Lol.
I don’t claim to be a professional on how this works but everyone on earth knows Intel was taking too long to make powerful yet fast and efficient chips. So Apple left to make their own. And there is no way on earth they’re going to purposely limit the reach of their own OS because they have to optimize it for a platform that isn’t apple silicon…
That said, WHEN a new operating system is introduced, older devices will NOT be as fast as new ones and may even slow down. Why do you think old iPhones are limited to which OS they can run? Do you honestly believe that A 1st generation iPhone could run iOS 15? Absolutely not. Why? Because the same exact reason: the technology that phone was made was limited to whatever was available in 2007.
The same goes for Macs. You can only support a machine for so long before your own operating system becomes limited by dated technology. 2019 Intel is dated technology I comparison to M1. And you can’t honestly say otherwise lol.
@@luanmaia the last Intel Mac is 2020. So that is 2 years old. You’re asking Apple to optimize brand new, efficient, and powerful technology on 2 and half year old technology that is clunky, power hungry and not capable of being efficient at all. Powerful? Sure. But not efficient. Whatsoever.
Hey Alex!
Hi Cheekster!! Bit late this weekend but here we are! Hope you're doing well!
Hey man, I've just watched your video, and I'm considering swap my basic model M1 MacBook Air, for a 16 inch 2019 core basic model core i7... Do you think it worth the swap?
thanks man!
I honestly find it hard to recommend the Intel versions... I had such a struggle with the software that I use, I'm convinced Apple are doing this on purpose to drive people away and towards the M1 or M2... That's probably a good configuration for the Intel that is stable and depending on your workload you may well be fine, but personally I could not make it work for me.
@@AlexGTech make sense man…

But the bottom line is still true, downgrading to the original OS made the MacBook fly!
previous MacBook Pro Is a 2012 model and in fact it still runs fine as long as plugged in. What I did to prevent it from slowing down is I stopped upgrading after OS Sierra. I didn't add High Sierra because I knew it would be too hard on the machine and would slow it down. I can still use and run photoshop cs6 on it and Corel painter with no issues. I only upgraded to an M1 Mac because it exceeded its charge cycle life and I wanted access to the latest tech. The only bummer is now I had to subscribe to Adobe CC if I wanted to run adobe on my new M1 map. Fingers crossed I will be able to use this machine for 6 -8 years minimum even if it means not being able to upgrade OS software anymore.

I own a 2018 Intel Macbook Pro... in my experience too, you won't be far from the truth bcos running Sonoma 14.1.1 now and I also see the "beach ball" occasionally (more) and the temperature is more noticeable... Monterey, for me, no issue and Ventura before its last update "13.6" before the almighty Sonoma 14 0... I now use a cooling pad with its fan max out to avoid the MBP of any heat issues and am just a casual user.
On the bright side, Intel Macs have bootcamp, which means...you can install a Linux distro! 🤪
No really, consider dual-booting Fedora, Pop_OS, Linux Mint, Manjaro, Garuda, etc. (provided they are supported).
Anything using Gnome 3 or later as the desktop environment will be familiar to macos users, you'll get regular feature and security updates, and performance will be on par or better than macos! And you can always boot into macos when you need to.
I can't wait for Asahi Linux's first stable release (currently in alpha) for M1 macs, so I can get in on the fun too (currently running a Linux VM in UTM). 😁

Hello Alex, so, after 3 months of this video, do you still think that Catalina is the best macOS for intel i9? I have a macbook Pro 16" 2,3GHz i9 64gb Ram, and i was thinking to upgrade to Big sur or Monterrey. I do video editing.. Please let me know.. Best!
Hi Gonzalo, unfortunately I lost my i9 Intel MacBook Pro on a train a couple of months ago. But I'm happy to say that up until that point Catalina was the best OS for me. It literally brought my MacBook back to life. Apple themselves when I took the MacBook Pro to them said that a fresh install may help. So what I would recommend is to do a fresh install first of the Monterey option and see how that behaves. If you don't see any improvement then I'd go down the Catalina route (using the recovery option) which worked really well for me.
@@AlexGTech Wow, that was a painful loss.. Thanks for your answer. I'll do that. Best !
I have a macbook pro m1 2020, with macos ventura everything is fine, but with macos Sonoma the battery loses 50% autonomy. Apple's trick is updating, the more you update it, the less time your Mac will have to live. This is becoming clearer to me.
I have a really expensive mbp 16 and its a shame that they are doing this. The same tasks i used to do everyday now is really not great. Thats bullshit, i may quit the whole apple computer if this is real.
Right? It was infuriating how bad it got in less than 2 years for me. It was a maxed out version as well which I paid 4 grand for. I’m glad I was able to get a bit more life out of it by downgrading it but that’s not great

Haha thanks Lee!! I am definitely starting to see what you mean, every product has an element of “profit comes first” these days. Just wish the competition would pull their fingers! Having said that the new Intel based laptops coming up in 2022 look pretty strong from a performance point of view. Apple fans will say Intel are just copying the M1 architecture but hey, if they are getting better juice out of it then why not? Good to see you hear my friend, have a great week ahead!
Apple has been doing this since OSX Tiger... I noticed it right away.. but kept going until Snow Leopard n my 2008 Intel Macbook Pro.... Lion slowed the living hell out of it.. thats when I stopped... Kept my 2008 running Snow Leopard and Ubuntu Linux and Windows XP tripleboot.... When I saw this also happening to all my iPhones consistently including degrading the camera quality to worse than when I purchased...and stopping accesories that worked before from working, I left Apple for good... that was over 12 years ago... I feel sorry for Mac Users. People shoudl rise up and sue Big time! By the way I was never a Windows person and never will be nor Android....so I am not suggesting those options. But I will suggest Linux Mint 20.3 MATE. or Ubuntu 20.04 LTS MATE.
I can't go back to being ripped off and staying in the consistent RipOff eco system. Removing my Headphone Jack from my iPhone was the Super last straw!
While running an old OS like Catalina might seem fine in regards of features, I would not recommend it for security reasons.
Although Catalina is still supported, that will end pretty soon.
Valid point! Might see what the performance is like on Big Sur to avoid any security issues. I did try a clean install of Monterey too, it was just too slow for my workflow.
@@AlexGTech Keep us posted!
I have zero performance issues myself on my 16GB 2018 13” Intel MBP running Monterey, even on heavy loads. It’s as stable and snappy as a 4 year old Mac can be.
I just have to make sure not to stuff my SSD. I keep at least 20% free for optimal performance.
I did eventually have a lot of local files but never close to the limit, about 400-500GB free out of 2TB SSD. In my recent tests though I was running clean installs and less than 100GB files in total for the video editing test I was running. The battery issues is what still puzzles me. It was basically dying on Monterey and not able to run without being plugged in. Completely fine now.
@@AlexGTech Good to know you used a clean install. I should add that I do not use my Mac for pro video editing, nor large files (except Disk images for Parallels) so maybe that’s an important difference.
Thanks for making this video by the way!
Thanks Joris, yes video editing is getting more and more demanding these days as cameras are able to record some crazy levels of detail. Even the M1 Pro struggles with some of the footage but I think there’s still some development to happen in the software side of things, both with Adobe and Apple. Looking forward to seeing why the M1 Max performance will be like soon!
Wow I never actually considered downgrading.. I am using a Macbook Air 2020 Intel i5 version on Sonoma and the experience was terrible but then today I downgraded to Big Sur and wow the performance boost is really noticeable. Really hate Apple purposely slows down their old devices just to sell their new devices.
Defiitely worth it right? I couldnt believe that trick worked for me... Sadly I lost that i9 Macbook Pro on a train, otherwise I'd still have it..

Interesting watching and remembering history. Apple used to be the company you went to that didn't do things like this. I don't think it is deliberate. I think they optimize for the latest hardware and don't put the resources into supporting older hardware as effectively with issues like you have described. Perhaps it would be better if they just said, you want the latest software, you need the new hardware but people would not like that either. I too got bitten by the Apple Intel issues with Monterey. Maybe less software updates (Not every year) and more stabilization?
Yes, I want to believe it's not deliberate but at the same time, I remember when their MacBook Pros lasted 4-5 years and still performed amazingly. It's a tricky one with Intel though because of Apple's pivot to their own silicon so you might be right, their focus is on the latest hardware. I hope our M1 Max lasts a bit longer though!
@@AlexGTech I hope that my M1 Max lasts a bit longer too. Right now I get around 2 1/2 years per year. 3-4 years would be much more optimal
I find most of the time it’s the interaction between runaway programs and MacOS that cause the slow down.
Just do a clean install and avoid installing random internet downloaded apps and uninstall apps that you don’t use anymore with app cleaner and run cleanmymac
totally agree. I did try a clean install of Monterey before downgrading too, but for video editing using the software packages from Adobe was only marginally better on Monterey. For me anyway, the performance I got using Catalina (the macOS it came with) was a nice surprise. It feels almost like what it was 2 years ago 👊🏼
got a MacBook Pro 2018 15 inch in 2023
Nothing wrong with that, they are built to last! Just watch out for those pesky OS upgrades!
@@AlexGTech Yeah it's great, found one in perfect condition with a great battery health & it was only $450 ish I use to have the M1 Max.... I upgrade everything every year... but I noticed that anything released in 2020 or before will still work perfectly well for a good 10 years. Apple sadly isn't Apple anymore so I downgraded all my devices and notice ZERO difference in performance for general use. Tim Cook is a reseller, he has ZERO creative-ness. This is why Jony ives left apple.. because Tim Cook just wants to resell us the same things over an over..... taking away ports... to put them back on again. He also did the same with the iPhone, changed the design back to an old design to play it safe.... I really hope Jony ive realises his own phone and other tech.... What made apple still apple left with Jony Ive. So until I see some real change at apple, giving us even a tiny bit of what it use to be, il be only buying apple products released in 2020 or before. But yeah 2018 MacBook is still up there an able to handle everything for a basic user.
Interesting. Thanks for the video. I was not aware of this but I'm not surprised. I think what's happening here is that apple has stopped optimizing their os for intel and has focused all their efforts on optimizing the os for their own silicon, thus leaving behind intel machines with a subpar experience. This is not good because most of the mac user base from what I know still runs intel. So in my opinion, apple should at least still try to optimize for intel, but they're not because they only care about their new macs running their own silicon with a different architecture and I guess it makes it too much work for them (in apple's opinion) to try to optimize for 2 architectures, so they only optimize for their new architecture. Either way, this is not how it was in the power pc to intel transition from what I know so this is just sad. Just a theory though.
Definitely my perception and I also remember that transition to Intel being way smoother. You’re right, they’re not interested in making the intel chips work, they want us to get their silicon so it’s sayonara really for the intel macs. The best I could do was downgrade to be able to enjoy a decent performance before I lost the laptop 😢
I am currently rocking a pretty specced up i9-based 16 inch MBP with 32GB of RAM and Radeon Pro 5500 and I honestly do not experience any slowdowns with the latest OS. Though the battery life seem to be degraded by 20-30% and that does not really have anything to do with battery aging (mine is 50 cycles and 98% of health). It used to last up to 8.5hrs with web regural "office use" - mail, web, documents. Now with the same usage pattern it lasts up to 5hrs.
I seem to have been unlucky with mine, I had a 64GB version, think the same GPU as yours. But I was not able to editi videos on premiere or Final Cut and everything slowed down considerably. Tried a clean install of latest OS too, same result. I’m convinced that updates probably solved it now but for me it was much better to go back to original OS. Sadly I actually lost that laptop on a train. I wanted to sell it to upgrade, ended up having to upgrade at full price 😢
Ok if this is true than i’m gonna go file a lawsuit and trust me the european commission is gonna be happy to take care of this case!
😂 I’m waiting for Apple to contact me to remove this video!
@@AlexGTech 🤣
Where's the evidence? Downgrading to Catalina is not evidence. I think you've limited technical understanding of much that you're claiming, e.g. battery condition. My same Mac is running perfectly fine after the latest update.
You might have to watch my previous videos where I share the battery issues. I’ve been discussing this for a while now and it’s hard to include everything in a single video. It would become 2 hours long 😂 Apple themselves (alright, the Genius Bar people) told me to downgrade given the battery was at 86% health so I had to try it. And it worked!
They don’t slow the Intel macs down, they are heavier and less focused on Intel.
My Mac is like a turtle on Monterey (can't update to Ventura), but my Mac flies like a F35 on Windows 10.
Wait... you back it up just by FEW RUclips comments ? lol.. ok.. good luck with that.
You sure this isn't more like to the 'slow down on iPhones', or the fact 'Big Sur, and above, are 'optimised' for M1?'
Sorry, I don’t understand your question. Back what up?
Anyone watching this video and having doubts. Downgrade to mojave. I have a 2019 macbook pro. Had problems with fans spinning at max rpm ( at lower temps) cpu downclocks itself for no reason lots of stuff i cant even remember. I dont know if its "pure evil apple slows down intel macbooks muhahahah"My idea is that the MacOS versions after mojave is "optimized" for m1 chips. Downgraded to mojave and it is night and day.
What's your MacBook Pro 2019? I have a 15 pro i9 with good luck. I'm using it and I like it. But I've only used VENTURA on it until today (I got it used). Could it be that if I use CATALINA it flies more? Although for me it is already very fast. I say more in terms of TEMPERATURES too, battery life, etc...
What about weaker security?
My Macbook air from 2011 with 4gb ram was much faster than my 2020 Intel Macbook Pro with 16GB RAM. I regret buying this machine.
Video title is a lie
Please elaborate
Very annoying presentation. Might be true, but I'm not relying on this video.
Sorry you didn't like the video. Any suggestions on what to improve? On the second point, please definitely look for more evidence, I am just one guy on the internet 👊🏼
