The old Toph scenes are some of my favourite parts of Korra but I remember my excitement at Book 1 and I was really drawn in my the Equalist plot even if the ending wasn't so satisfying, I think you were a bit harsh on Ember Island Players and the Beach. Ember Islands Players had the best recap device I've seen in television. An interesting look at the fire nation perspective, how events get distorted in the telling, characters grappling with their own insecurities seeing exaggerated versions of themselves and the play was really funny.
4:50 now me personally I was also saddened that they made Korra lose her connection to her past lives but I think they did that to "force her to struggle and think for herself" because while yes its sometimes good to learn from the past but sometimes it interferes with making decisions that stimulate progression and growth because you might end up repeat the mistakes of the past just because ppl previously did it.

@@jcc8174couldn’t agree more. Korra is less enjoyable than Aang, but her character arc is so well put together. In a way she was better written than Aang.
I think what people don't understand is that season 3 is a continuation of season 2 in LOK ... And can we just say the metal clan is the safest place in the Avatarverse

Hello, I agree with you...I mean I like both Avatar TLAB and LOK, however there are some epides that I personally consider usless, like Bolin making the fil in LOK, or the journey with tose clans (I don't remember the title)în the Avatar TLAB...I like that korra don't give up, (however I kind of like to keep her long and beautiful hair) anyway, great video you made good work...keep it up!
A lot of atla was filler, too. They were just messing around for half of season 1. Besides, that bolin filler with the eska dramma was pretty entertaining . The atla type humor was so lacking in season 1, I’m glad they made it up with varrick and all.
Final battles ranking: 1. Korra vs Zaheer 2. Korra vs Kuvira 3. Aang vs Ozai 4. Aang & La (ocean spirit) vs fire nation attack 5. Blue Korra vs Dark Avatar 6. Aang & Katara vs Zuko & Azula 7. Korra & Mako vs Amon
I love Korra and it’s definitely a great show. Maybe not to the same level as the original but it’s great on its own right and I love the many world building changes and story directions the world and plot goes in
I mean, something has to come last place, and Korra had some stiff competition. Last place isn't all that bad when there's only seven spots to begin with, and one of the most well-liked western animated cartoons in existence occupies three of them
Lok book 1 should’ve been ranked higher than atla book 1 tbh. It’s more captivating and less filler-y. The only flaw it has is the fact that Amon ran away and no one bothered to hunt him down after. We as viewers know tarrlock k!lled himself, taking amon with him, but no one else in the actual show is aware of that. Then they just forget about him?
While I agree TLOK S2 and S4 may be the worst seasons, everyone’s giving too much credit on Aang because of the nostalgia. People hating on Korra because she fails a lot then praising Aang for mastering the elements + energybending in a very short time are simply delusional. If you want to be critical, be fairly critical. Saying that Korra learning airbending at the last ep of S1 was tacky? You do know avatars unleash their powers during their worst times right? Simply put, Korra is more human, and TLOK is more mature. The villains are well defined and more meaningful. Ozai was just another firelord who wanted to conquer the world because his father said so. Anyway, you kids go ahead and praise ATLA more 🥰
I like atla and korra almost the same. I really like the more mature theme for korra, but I like the depth of the characters in atla more. I'm not saying that korra is bad, it's just that I prefer atla's character aspects.
Bro you cannot be serious. The s1 finale of Korra was a huge asspull and you know it. Amon takes away korra's bending and she suddenly regains it how? "Well uh she became more spiritual and stuff". No the fuck she didn't lmao. Everything about her character was the same at the end of the season as it was at the beginning. "LoK is more mature". So mature that they dedicate half of the runtime of season one to entertaining a really forced romance plot involving all of the main characters. Please seek help
@@thealbinotadpole2878 Well if you took the time to analyze that was not the creators' fault, that was Nickalodeon's fault. But with the nostalgia for Aang you won't understand. Just another Korra hater
@@jcc8174 I was arguing against the claim that the ending makes sense and is consistent with korra's character. I know that the creators were still uncertain about the future of the show, everyone does. Trying to say that korra learning airbending from nowhere was actually a logical writing choice is absolutely absurd. Just another 13 year old korra fan.
Avatar the Last Airbender is amazing. You can learn a lot from it. It’s engaging funny thrilling action packed and at times sad and very serious. Not a kids show. Each character even the spirits have depth. Another thing I have to say James Cameron is 1000 better at writing females than Masashi Kishimoto (Naruto writer)
For me Book 3 Change of Korra is the best book in the entire Avatar Universe. Avatar The Last Airbender of course had a better story overall but as an individual book there was nothing for me that will top that book
I personally would've put Book 3 of ATLA under Book 1 of ATLA, with Book 3 of TLOK going above Book 3 of ATLA and below Book 1 of ATLA. I like Book 3 of ATLA, but it's the season that has pretty big problems like Aang suddenly learning and using spirit bending as his solution to defeat the Fire Lord, not to mention that the first half leading up to the day of the Black Sun was pretty forgettable. Book 1 of ATLA on the other hand does a great job of establishing and developing the new war torn world, its characters, and has in my opinion a great finale in the Northern Water Tribe.
If I'm being honest, it'a very hard for me to choose an ATLA season that isn't a masterclass in world building and storytelling. They are all nothing short of perfect. Maybe for me, book 3 is slightly rough on the edges for the first few episodes. They feel like because Aang has hair and he's going to sneak into the fire nation, there's a ton of room for mistakes on the writing. But that never happens. It's all fantastic from start to finish.
I might be the only one who would say lok season 2 is overhated ....i think season 4 was way worst bro the moment they brought in a big metal robot i was begining to wonder if i was watchinh an avatar series plus kuvira motivation was trash even tho she is good as a character and villain...id switcg season 2 of lok with season 4 and thats about it the list is good
It's not like in ATLA they already had the technology to have a big ass tank with a big ass drill... I don't feel like the giant mecha is that bad of a thing, especially because Kuvira used metalbending to control it, which is pretty resourceful and cool.
Book 3 where momo and appa duel, whilst being uninspired, is still one of my favourite scenes. It’s so funny hearing them talk not to mention aang is tripping balls 😂😂
My Top is 1 : Atla book 3 2 : Atla book 2 3 : Tlok book 1 4 : Tlok book 3 5 : Atla book 1 6 : Tlok book 2 7 : Tlok book 4 In the way we need to accept the story of Vaatu and Raava
I liked ALOK season four honestly, I thought it was a nice conclusion to the plot. Plus I thought Kuvira was a fantastic villain. Yeah, the show could have ended on season 3 but I still had questions after it, and season 4 helped answer them. I honestly might put it above Avatar season 1. Though, I agree with the top 3, Avatar season 2, Avatar Season 3, and ALOK season 3. And of course, sports is dead last, that was a nightmare at times.
Great Video! I just want to say that I've been really enjoying watching a lot of these ATLA videos from you recently. The quality of your videos is amazing, especially as an upcoming creator, and I really appreciate how thorough you are when making these. As for this video, the only thing I would change even after your explanations is switching ATLA book 2 & 3. When I first watched Avatar the 2 scenes I vividly remember are the Last Agnikai and The Solstice. Despite some weak episodes, I think all the field trip episodes and major clashes as well as the final wrap-up of the show put Book 3 at the top spot. Cheers :)
I agree with the ranking but I do think that people kinda underrate season 2 of lok. People are saying it is horrible and that’s just not true. It wasn’t bad but the other seasons are better
Book 2 had the most potential. The idea of a dark avatar is great. The idea of Avatar Won, Korra connecting with spirits and even spirit bending. I think had it been the last season and been executed well, there could have been a big reveal that Unaloq was apart of the Red Lotus and they ideally could have had a cooler light avatar vs dark avatar fight. Definitely no giants.... and then no jenora doing some random spirit stuff. I wish they would have went into depth about Avatar Won and given him more episodes. Perhaps even reveal more lion turtles. And if it's true that the next Avatar is supposed to have more energy blasts and spirits, Korra leaving the spirit world open and spirit bending could have been a great finale with a bit of foreshadowing
Zaheer and The Red Lotus were the best Korra antagonists They eclipse Amon largely due to having a better and more developed motive We never really got context as to why Amon had the goal of eliminating benders despite them showing his childhood backstory But Zaheer and his crew make it perfectly clear why they have the motives they have and also made strong arguments as well Plus, the effects Zaheer has on Korra actually has lasting consequences and doesn’t just magically get fixed
I can respect this ranking. But I will say, I recently rewatched season 1 of atla and it's a lot better than I remember. Maybe it's bc of the live action abomination, but I was consistently impressed with the RESTRAINT that season consistently demonstrates. There were so many times the season just left loose threads dangling for future seasons. I actually noticed one that was never developed further--Zhao says he's heard of rumors of Irohs journey to the spirit world. I'm guessing we never got more bc of the VA's death but it just struck me as a great moment thats emblematic of the season as a whole. Seasons 2 and 3 are filled with payoffs but maybe we don't respect season 1's groundwork enough 🤷♂️ I do think it's better than any season of Korra

4. Book 1 “Air”
3. Book 2 “Earth”
2. Book 3 “Change”
1. Book 3 “Fire”
This one 💯
Avatar Wan was best of season 2 of TLOK
For sure. His story alone is what fixed season 2 for me, but I can’t deny crazy ass Eska was entertaining asf 😂
Why does nobody talk about the scene where she puts Bolin in a collar and proceeds to drag him around? The story is eh, but it sure had the atla type of humor.
#1 Earth - TLA Book 2
#2 Fire - TLA Book 3
#3 Water - TLA Book 1
#4 Change - LOK Book 3
#5 AIr - LOK Book 1
#6 Balance - LOK Book 4.
#7 Spirits - LOK Book 2
I go back and forth between LOK 1 and 4. The old Toph scenes are some of my favourite parts of Korra but I remember my excitement at Book 1 and I was really drawn in my the Equalist plot even if the ending wasn't so satisfying,
I think you were a bit harsh on Ember Island Players and the Beach.
* She lost the connection because of the TLAB fans, the creators got tired of Korra being compared to the other Avatars.
* I think your list is based more on your love for TLAB. I think Korra's story is better than Aang's.
*Korra's bad reputation is because fans cannot accept that Aang's time has passed. And that just as his time passes, so will Korra's.
@@jcc8174couldn’t agree more. Korra is less enjoyable than Aang, but her character arc is so well put together. In a way she was better written than Aang.
Pretty spot on ranking, I don’t think I’d put it any other way
I think what people don't understand is that season 3 is a continuation of season 2 in LOK ... And can we just say the metal clan is the safest place in the Avatarverse
1. Fire
2. Change
3. Earth
4. Water
5. Balance/air
6. Spirits
This is literally the perfect list
For me it's:
1. Legend of Korra: Change
2. The Last Airbender: Fire
3. The Last Airbender: Water
4. Legend of Korra: Balance
5. Legend of Korra: Air
6. The last Airbender: Earth
7. The Legend of Korra: Spirits
And you can't change my mind😏
1. Fire
2. Earth
3. Change
4. Water
5. Balance
6. Air
7. Spirits
you can’t convince me otherwise
Hello, I agree with you...I mean I like both Avatar TLAB and LOK, however there are some epides that I personally consider usless, like Bolin making the fil in LOK, or the journey with tose clans (I don't remember the title)în the Avatar TLAB...I like that korra don't give up, (however I kind of like to keep her long and beautiful hair) anyway, great video you made good work...keep it up!
The episode name is "The Great Divide Tribes"
A lot of atla was filler, too. They were just messing around for half of season 1. Besides, that bolin filler with the eska dramma was pretty entertaining . The atla type humor was so lacking in season 1, I’m glad they made it up with varrick and all.
Agree. Avatar shows what strong female characters should look like. Real life Katara missed the boat.
True 😂
Book 3 of lok is good, but it felt like it was trying to compensate from the last book.
Well, it kinda had to because book 2 was so egregiously bad.
Final battles ranking:
1. Korra vs Zaheer
2. Korra vs Kuvira
3. Aang vs Ozai
4. Aang & La (ocean spirit) vs fire nation attack
5. Blue Korra vs Dark Avatar
6. Aang & Katara vs Zuko & Azula
7. Korra & Mako vs Amon
Korra's journey had so many great moments and characters, it really makes me believe haters are hating on it because they simply choose to.
Haters are stuck with ATLA as the nostalgic show and choose not to agree that LOK is a better done series
@@arielkashi4465 ok I watched korra first and then watched avtar on Netflix years later so how?
@@idriswashington2766 so how what?
Great characters? Personally, I think the characters are the weakest part of Korra.
@@arielkashi4465 that means I’m not biased due to nostalgia
This is the best list I've ever seen
Thanks 😊
I rlly agree with this ranking
LoK book 3 and 4 are pure perfection
I love Korra and it’s definitely a great show. Maybe not to the same level as the original but it’s great on its own right and I love the many world building changes and story directions the world and plot goes in
1. Fire & Earth
2. Change
3. Water
4. Balance
5. Air
WALL
6. Spirits
“I don’t see why people hate Korra and it doesn’t receive more acclaim”
*proceeds to rank 75% of it as the worst avatar seasons*
I mean, something has to come last place, and Korra had some stiff competition. Last place isn't all that bad when there's only seven spots to begin with, and one of the most well-liked western animated cartoons in existence occupies three of them
Lok book 1 should’ve been ranked higher than atla book 1 tbh. It’s more captivating and less filler-y. The only flaw it has is the fact that Amon ran away and no one bothered to hunt him down after. We as viewers know tarrlock k!lled himself, taking amon with him, but no one else in the actual show is aware of that. Then they just forget about him?
For me the best thing LoK did was avatar wan's history ive watched it like 10 times, but havent rewatched korra at all 😂
Could you elaborate please? I genuinely want to know what someone would like about the Avatar Wan episodes 😆 🙏
@@Drm3221 of course, Lore

7. Spirits

6. TLOK Book 4

1. ATLA Book 3
You put avatar last Airbender book one twice
He meant atla book 3 I think
Book 3 is better than book 2 I’m sorry, that arc of them being in the fire nation was peak fiction
Anyway, you kids go ahead and praise ATLA more 🥰
Thank you, you just said everything I wanted too 👌🏻 I like Korra very much and I think no one appreciate how human she is 😕
I like atla and korra almost the same.
I would have never imagined someone choosing Earth over Fire in ATLA. That’s truly insane...
Makes Perfect sense to me
Avatar the Last Airbender is amazing.

5.LOK 1 - Air
6.ATLA 1 - Water
7. LOK 2 - Spirits
I couldn't agree more for this list
Fire, Earth, Change, Water, Air, Balance, Spirits done
Hell nah s4 slam s2 narratively and character wise
Book 4 of TloK at #6 is crazy
I agree with this ranking completely except for the fact that I personally think atla book one is slightly better than korra book 3
Season 4 is definitely my favorite season of LOK but 3 is a close second
S4 is underrated
Book 3 where momo and appa duel, whilst being uninspired, is still one of my favourite scenes. It’s so funny hearing them talk not to mention aang is tripping balls 😂😂

You know avatar is amazing when #6 out of 7 is described as complex and good
I liked ALOK season four honestly, I thought it was a nice conclusion to the plot.
Book 1 "Air" is my favorite and the best season cause of pro bending match, villains like Amon and Equalists
I understand season 2 of Korra being mid but i will NOT STAND for Varrick Slander

Cheers :)
Thanks 🤝🏻
i do agree lok book 2 isnt great but the exploration of spirits is something i found really cool
Book 3 of lok is my fav.
I honestly think LOK4 is worst than LOK2. But other than those, the rest are solid rankings. Great 5.6K subs milestone 🎉
Thanks 😊
TLOK book 3 and 1 is my favourite
ATLA 2 and LOK 3 are the best
Most agreeable tier list ever
Who else noticed at 19:16 Aang was in the avatar state but his arrows weren’t glowing
I agree with ATLA S2 being the best :)
My ranking: 7: LoK season 2, 6: ATLA season 1, 5: LoK season 1, 4: LoK season 4, 3: ATLA season 2, 2: LoK season 3, 1: ATLA season 3
Zaheer and The Red Lotus were the best Korra antagonists
They eclipse Amon largely due to having a better and more developed motive
We never really got context as to why Amon had the goal of eliminating benders despite them showing his childhood backstory
But Zaheer and his crew make it perfectly clear why they have the motives they have and also made strong arguments as well
Plus, the effects Zaheer has on Korra actually has lasting consequences and doesn’t just magically get fixed
I liked TLOK S2 personally tbh
That is EXACTLY my list as well
