This was always me and my dad's song. He was fighting terminal cancer but died at home on Friday. At the end, when he was non-responsive and we couldn't find words to fill the space, each of us kids sang him a song and this was the song I sang to him. He really loved music and I have beautiful memories of driving around with my dad in the TJ, looking at ocean, blaring this song.

2002 I also was 17. All in all it was a decent year, but I grew up on a farm and we suffered through the worst drought in the history of Saskatchewan. We literally had no crop that year. It was definitely a penny-pinching year for us.
Music wise it was a pretty good year. A few years after that, music really started going to shit though and hasn’t really recovered.

Whoa! No one is probably going to read this but, I have legit been looking for this song for maybe about 10 years tops! After seeing this music video for the first time, with my own eyes, on MTV in, the year 2006, I have been searching for it ever since. Whenever I tried to find this song all I could really remember was the music video. So, every time I typed in "guy wearing an astronaut suit" music video, or something very similar to that, into Google or RUclips, it never had results. UNTIL!! On this very day 5/11/16. I went to Popeyes for lunch and, I saw this music video playing. I legit like, freaked out. I was like oh my glob! But, I realized I'm crazy and stupid. Then, that's when I figure I better just go type about it in the comments on RUclips.

Thanks :D But that was just a test to see if I could find it your way, but it was hard indeed. I actually know this song already for quite some time, a few years, but I honestly can't remember when I got into listening to Moby. I'm pretty sure it has to do with my father liking this music and him showing it to me once, I thank him for that, for showing me real music. I also heard the song Flower and Extreme Ways in a few movies before which made me look it up. A few years back when I was in school I even had a teacher who is a big fan of Moby. Can't blame him ;)

    • @jeremyfischer5255

+Yorpie i forget which album extreme ways is on, but every song on that album is fucking GOLD. i think the first time i hear extreme ways in a movie was either Cellular, ahere the dude gets a phone call from a kidnapped woman and he has to keep her on the line and try and save her, or if it was the bourne identity. eother way, it made me discover Moby! Moby definetly changed my life for the better.

    • @Yorpie

To me it was in Bourne Identity :) And then the other bourne movies as well lol, looking forward to the new one. Flower was in the intro of gone in 60 seconds.

When this song came out in 2002, I had real player, and one of the 'visualizations' of that version of real player was Annabelle the Sheep, and it would dance to the music. Apparently at one point I listened to that song with that visualization, and now when I hear that song, I just see that sheep in my mind....

That's exactly how I used to go to the store to buy some aspirines, the clerk was like: "Why do you buy so many aspirines?", "Because this suit gives me a terrible headache", "Why do you wear it then?", "How else am I gonna go to space?". I tell ya, some clerks just don't understand life. True story.

I was inpatient at Loma Linda BMC in 2002 for awhile in September. It was not a good time for me, but I was glad to meet others who were going through stuff like me. I had already had major depression for 2 years and still have it to this day. I saw Moby in concert in May of 1995 with my brother right before I started my rave journey that lasted 3 years. I grew up watching Diff'rent Strokes with Gary Coleman and Todd Bridges. It was cool to see them in this video. Whether you have depression or not it's God's love that carries us through in Christ Jesus. I hope that everyone still living in this video comes to be saved in the Lord Jesus Christ as even Moby gave thanks to Jesus Christ on his Move album. Thanks for reading this and God bless you. S.B.
