StroboClip HD - Quick Start

Congratulations on your purchase of the Peterson StroboClip HD. Here's a quick video to get you started.
The StroboClip HD runs on a CR-2032 battery. To install, remove the battery cover by rotating it in the direction of the arrow using the raised tab near the bottom of the tuner and place the battery in the cradle so that the positive side of the battery faces up. Replace the cover over the battery with the tab towards the bottom of the tuner and rotate clockwise until it clicks.
For normal operation, no special adjustment is needed. Attach the StroboClip HD to the head-stock or scroll of a stringed instrument, or the bell or lead pipe of a wind instrument. There are 3 buttons on the top of the StroboClip HD. Pressing the middle button labeled with the power icon activates the tuner. The note being tuned appears on the lower center part of the screen. The strobe bands will rotate left to indicate a flat note and right to indicate a sharp note.
If you're new to strobe tuners, you'll notice that they're much more sensitive and accurate than your previous tuners. While the idea is to make the pattern stop completely, it's OK if it shifts slightly. This is due to the real-time response. At that point, you're still well within the accuracy specification of many tuners and over time, you'll get better at freezing the display completely. For string players, it helps to use your finger or thumb to gently pluck the string rather than a pick or plectrum.
Your StroboClip HD contains more than 50 Sweetened Tuning Presets. They're called sweeteners because they make your instrument sound 'sweeter' by slightly adjusting each note to compensate for common tuning problems.The default preset, EQU, stands for Equal temperament, which means NO sweetener..... This should be used when you want your StroboClip to act as a non-instrument-specific chromatic tuner.
The StroboClip HD allows Sweetener presets to be saved with Drop/Capo Transposition from -6 to +5, and Concert A settings from 390 to 490HZ. Adjusting these additional settings will save with the sweetener and may change when selecting a different sweetener.
All changes are made on the StroboClip HD by pressing the middle button, the MENU button, until the setting you'd like to change begins to flash. Then, the PLUS and MINUS buttons to the left or right of the MENU button change the value of that setting. Pressing and holding the PLUS AND MINUS buttons together will revert any of those settings to default. In the case of the concert A setting, you can switch between whole Hz and 1/10th Hz adjustment by momentarily pressing the MENU button and the plus button together. By default, the StrocoClip HD will rearrange the order of your presets so that your most commonly used Sweeteners appear at the top of the list in the order of most recently used.
Pressing and holding the Power button for 1 second will turn off your StroboClip HD. Out of the box, your StroboClip HD will power off automatically after 2 minutes of inactivity.

After realizing every review I could find was the same avalanche of praise, I just ordered one. Arrives tomorrow. I suppose the complexity could be a turn off to some, it has every feature a tuner can have... but that's also a big chunk of what makes it so great. So for me, the custom tunings, loading via usb, sweetened tunings on demand quick are a huge positive. Well built, accuracy is unmatched, and every possible tuning trick there is at your fingertips... what do you want from a tuner? I honestly can't think of anything more I want. Including the HDC. Orange is fine for me. I'm cool with replaceable battery. From where I am sitting this is the best clip on tuner available. Everything I wanted, plus some things I didn't know I wanted until they decided to include it...
