Mitch Gallagher takes you on a tour of Peterson's line of strobe tuners, representing some of the most precise and accurate instrument tuners available anywhere.

For years I’ve wanted an in-depth look at strobe tuners like this and couldn’t find it. Thanks, Mitch!
Robert Fisher very informative video.
I am starting a Luthier course and this information was perfect in helping me find a great strobe tuner I can take with me, thank you very much
Mitch!! Always coming through with the hot gear, and reminding me that my current home set-up is woefully underachieving!
I worked on a broken strobe tuner in high school back in 1971. It was OLD then! Used a mechanical turning fork as a reference!
Ever try singing into a Strobotuner? Entertaining/ humbling...../nauseating :) lol
They make great tuners.
I'm still using a Peterson VS-II that is 19 years old and still works like new.
Great video thanks....I'm sold.
Very easy to see...
I have the StroboClip for my Taylor’s & my Tom Anderson and it works great. I was looking for more info on their other products. Very useful info, thanks!
It would be really cool if Peterson had a setting specifically for guitar intonation.
Should have done the tuning through one of the BOX ones and the clip on.
Cool demo. Thanks :)

I like how the strobe center looks like it's frantically putting in cheat codes for San andreas.
No one ever mentions that the spinning wheel type are actual strobes , whereas the digital are software estimators . The reliability of the spinning wheel models isn't so good , as there are a lot of cheap caps in there . They need to improve the parts quality , which is possible as it's not a price sensitive segment of the market . It costed me ten times more to fix than it would have cost them to improve ........
How were you able to determine that it wasn't measuring pitches correctly? Did you use another machine?
@@yishihara55527 My conversation was about reliability . It blew fuses due to short circuits . The circuit board quality is poor for the money .
@@npet6842 That's definitely a concern. Are they using a bunch of cheap capacitors from China? Given the prices of their strobe tuners, I would not want to be burdened with expensive repairs. I think that I'd rather go with their digital model which is only around $157 at this time.
Where can I find a DVD for peterson strobo flip tuner
The rubber used on the dial selector knob is crap, after a few years it will begin to melt and get sticky, same on the new model !
I just tune by ear and get on with it.
All tuners are +/- a cent since the 1980s.
The weird thing about tuners is that no one has been able to beat Peterson since the 60s. Not even joking, who makes a better or more accurate tuner than Peterson? Never the cheapest option, but... kinda literally nothing better, so...
This unit is almost $5000 in 2024.
need dark place,,,
definetly worth the 4500 dollars more than my TC mini..........what was I thinking
Probably not for you but if you’re running a high end studio or playing a stadium then it is.
@@louderthangod I know, and it was a joke. JC
popeye I knew you were “joking” but the joke only works if you think it’s too expensive right?
@@louderthangod bro you need to go relieve some stress some how, not big of a deal LOL
@@louderthangod TC clip-on *is* more accurate when it is in strobe with +/- 0.02 cent per SW Tech Specs at www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/PolyTuneClip--tc-electronic-polytune-clip-clip-on-polyphonic-tuner
