  • SEPTA AEM-7 and ALP-44 move to NJ Transit at Levittown station and the Trenton Transit Center in Trenton, NJ
During the night hours of December 23rd to the early morning hours of Christmas Eve, SEPTA sent out six of their retired AEM-7's and the lone ALP-44 to be leased by New Jersey Transit to help out the agency as their locomotives are being sent out for PTC installation. The move was led by AEM-7 No. 2303, followed by 2304, 2305, ALP-44 #2308, 2306, 2301, and 2307. The other AEM-7, 2302, was left in SEPTA territory for spare parts for the other locomotives shown in the video.
    Enjoy!

Nice video. It would have been cool if NJT actually would use them.

Who knows, they might. Instead of sandwiching an ALP-46 between a cab car and the rest of the train, maybe they'll have these leading the train!

I hope ALP-44 will be sent to a museum after this.
