In case of obstruction in the doors (passenger places object between the doors while closing) the local recycle will cause the doors in question to open slightly for obstruction to be removed
@Team Epiphany Tyler that's exactly what it is. At outdoor terminals, or when there is a delay and the train is outside during inclement weather, in order to prevent it getting water in the train, we partial close the doors and only the emergency door is open to allow people to exit and enter the cars. In cases of hot/cold weather, we partial close so that the HVAC works properly. That's also why the windows are always closed. If you enter a cold car, chances are a window or multiple windows are open and the cold air messes up the HVAC in the car making the car cold

I am a Japanese who loves MTA. Is it a question, which switch will sound the Stand clear of the closing door's please broadcast before the door closes?
The door warning is controlled manually via the IC panel.
There is a red button on the back of the cab that you can't see here. The conductor presses it and it says the Stand Clear announcement.
The chime automatically plays when the door closes

If you need to use those controls, they will explain it to you beforehand
Can you make more vids of these
Wow
What does Zone light, partial close, shuttle and DEZONG mean?
Zone light is an indication that the doors are closed. Partial close only closes one door instead of two, and dezong is unknown
Dezone takes that conductor's position offline so the doors cannot be operated from that position until another conductor arrives and 'zones up."
I never knew they close the doors for both sides of the train
Yup I believe nyc is the only place that does this idk but I love when they do that
