how to play a triangle in a rock song, and not only get that combination to work, but actually make it essential to the song's quality. Mr Arkenstone, you are a genius
This music feels like you have no way out, and you struggle and trying do you best, truly inspired by the Harkonnen's brutal, cruel and inevitable in victory! Hail to great David Arkenstone
I've never played this game, but this soundtrack evokes some powerful images. You can tell when a composer really loves his work, and pours himself into it. It's magical.
If only westwood would release the game after Yuri's Revenge, Ra2 success was so huge it overshadowed this game, Battle for dune is so underrated it's a fucking crime. This track is freaking awesome, kinda sad too.
Westwood never cared about Dune. They didn't want Dune to be big. The whole reason why they came out with C&C and RA was so they didn't have to pay for somebody elses IP.
Sadly these recordings are less than CD quality. It's not the uploaders fault. For some reason Westwood/EA never officially released the whole album in high quality format. You can really tell with the cymbals, the high end is missing here. Arkenstone probably has the master files somewhere for this music. He should re-release it in better quality.
IMO there 2 general drawbacks of the Harkonen in this game: 1 Lack of APCs 2 Lack of really awesome bombardment units. I mean catapult is useless against moving targets and missile tank is good, but really slow to reload, has weak armor, it's missiles can't do radius damage. Although it's the only artillery unit which can target air units.
... Lack of APC was never an issue for me. The trick with the Inkvine Catapult is to use them in bulk -- I use units of 4-6, which can drop a Minotaurus; also set them on 'continual fire', leaving a zone of death for enemies to walk through. A Missile Tank is best used directed, rather than letting it react on its own (which tends to be sluggish). Gunships & the Air Defence Platform fill in for artillery on the move (the latter being able to fire on ground targets). ... Harkonnen can beat any opponent (just use the gear properly 😉).
They kind of did, if you notice some of the desert tracks of Dune Part 1, sound like some of the Atreides tracks. Watch the movie again and you'll notice
@@srbrant5391 I was dissapointed with it in that regard. I couldnt recall much after leaving the theater. Listening to it on its own there are some parts i like, but it feels very "Backgroundy."
The music of the new movie resembles that of Atreides on Battle for Dune. So I think the music was quiet on mark. It doesn't make sense to use a track that is too distracting. It has to be cinematic
"Radiation level high but not toxic".
Radiation still high in 2021 but still never toxic
Control rods engaged...

yeah hence the title name "surrounded"
Long live the Baron!
Yes, I get that feeling too. THE Realization you are surrounded by the enemy, but prepare for one final battle none the less! For House Harkonnen!

+Roman Pankov also dont forget warcraft 3, which was released next year
People just dont know.

so true
The game mechanics of Emperor Battle for dune were grossly different from Dune 2000 and Dune 2. I guess that led to its lacklustre performance
The Best OST of the game in my opinion. The Harkonnen OST is really good and the best for me.
The Harkonnen do not bother with repairs, they fight TO THE DEATH! For the Baron!
AGREED! Long live BARON GUNSENG!
Dakathi66 I don't trust people who sided with copec lol. Long live Gunseng harkonnen
@@markjackson7650 All hail Copec.

Harkonnens represents strength in pure form...

When I hear this song, I genuinely feel bitter and betrayed
A common day for a Harkonnen! Always watching their back and planning the next plot
I've got a fever! And the prescription is more triangles!
I'm Christopheh WALKen oveh hea!
House Harkonnen had the best music.
Harkonnen had the best everything. Especially their unit quotes. One long list of badassery.
Sure it is the best one cause of Frank Klepacki magic.
@@jangozubr House Harkonnen OST was composed by David Arkenstone iirc. Klepacki was in charge of the Atreides.
I like them all, it's gorgeous.

artilleries are for the weak. Harkonen general only want toe to toe heavy armor tanks, more tanks.
Technically, missile tanks aren't counted as artillery units.
IIRC, they were outranged by quite a few units. Plus they didn't fire immediately.
The answer to these issues as well as any others with the Harkonnen setup is: Nuclear tanks.

Operators of devastators talk very LOUD becouse they are deaf. Devastator - is a moving nuclear facility .. basicly;)
