I never followed an educational RUclipsr or Vlog channel. RUclips was just a channel to get information for me. However, since I found Lucy, I've been following her because her videos are really helpful and, what's more important, I love the warm and soothing vibes about her and Will. Seeing them being happy makes me happy too. :)

1) I was married for 23 years. 2) I had 6 babies (1 girl, 4 living boys& one stillborn son). 3)We also raised 2 more foster children (both girls). 4) When I was 41, my husband, my mother and my best friend all died back to back. 5) I am exhausted.

Hi, Lucy! Nice to know you better!! I have the same issue with Right and left! It takes a little longer than most people for me to actually be sure which one is which.
I also totally agree with you about the useless purposes of current education system, method and exams. We grow up, leave our parent’s home, suffer like hell to learn the very basics because we lost so much time in learning things we will never use again. We don’t learn how to cook, how to organize a house (with builds to pay, taxes, etc), we don’t learn that we have to make income declaration and pay taxes in the right time (and what is the right time, and how to do it), we don’t learn personal finances (man, how to live without it?????), neither the basics on business. I so agree with you on that matter about education, so so so much!

I have a suggestion to make, if you allow me to. Maybe not a suggestion, but an idea for your background IF you think about changing it. There’s a Brazilian girl I follow named Vitoria Portes (I’m Brazilian too). She’s a fashion youtuber and somehow she resembles you (don’t know if that verb demands preposition or not, sorry if I’m wrong, the dictionary is way too far and I’m way too lazy right now 😂), but anyway, I thought about her because you have the very same delicate way of being, soft traces... this suavity shows in yours and her manners, smiles, colors. All of this talking just to say that I think her channel’s background style and cleanliness would match to you too. Very simple objects, candy color, all light and fresh. I’ll paste the link to one of her videos so you can check it out. She has been changing it with time, but somehow it remains the same concept (you an notice that if you check some other videos).

In fashion I’ve been up to the capsule wardrobe. I’ve this last year with my work outfits, and it was amazing! It was so easy to get dressed, I was always really well dressed even the clothes being always the same. I did just as you said, spent good money on few clothes and wear them for(almost)ever. Good quality over quantity. I’m also following Justine Leconte and Marie-Anne Lecoeur (don’t know if I’ve spelt wrong), two French ladies with lots of excellent tips and ideas on this subject (but I’m just putting these informations here because I like to share with people I like the good things Ive found around; I also spread around your channel too 😬).

My Aunt (who just passed away at age 89) built with her own 2 hands, both houses she lived in. She was the happiest and most outgoing, live life by her own rules person I knew. I mean- for fun she'd do anything from announce, "let's go stain the teak tables out in the garden!" to sailing all day in her boat. And that was in her retirement years. Best story teller I ever knew, also. I just found you this week, btw, Lucy and I enjoy your vid work and the things we have in common =) I wanted to share with you that I plan on opening up a gourmet vegan restaurant ... something I just came up with this week and its already going beyond swimmingly well!

12:36 ABSOLUTELY AGREED ! those are exactly my words when i talk to people about school system. Example, we were discussing how much sex ed is important. well i think it's definitely important to teach students about how things work, however in some countries, they teach about pleasure, consent, lgbt etc... well in this case, those who think those stuff should be taught, aren't some stuff even more important? cooking (not exactly recipes, more of how to fry, how to boil etc), taxes (yes yes, that's something nobody will teach you unless you're studying something related to), what to do in emergency cases (fire, etc), things like dunno, making sure my laptop last, my phone's battery doesn't get "burnt", etc

Ahhh, Lucy🤭 I had the same experience at my school: this negative attitude, the absence of understanding about the final goal of school education, and my huge desire to escape to music school lessons. Even my old perfume, "Rigas Lilac", reminded me of those times. I was a big fan of that smell but I am not pretty sure that now I can use it!

1. I could never live without music. I play different instruments and I love to sing as well. It's something I will always do as a hobby. It keeps my mental health in place.
2. I'm good at languages and I didn't know. After finishing uni I learnt English, Spanish sign language and Italian in no time. I make mistakes but I can have conversations about everything. I just copy others very well, apparently...
3. I have to say hello to every single dog I see on the street. I just have to.
4. I also have that symmetry problem and others related. It's weird but I found a man who gets it and allow me to do those weird things in order to avoid the frustration. It's great to live with someone like him.

hey there, yep it’s sounds crazy because it was crazy! I’ve been in a 48 hours deep coma, was actually clinically death and had even an “out-off-body- experience. I was somehow hovering in the reanimation section of the hospital and saw my body and a couple of doctor’s around me. Later when I was “back” I explained my wife what I saw and she said it’s just what happened.
So now comes the pinch: The doc just told my wife that she should be prepared for the worst and even if I survive I would be seriously brain damaged for the rest of my life.
Believe it or not my wife and close friends took the promises of the bible prayed and stood on it. Some hours later I was in a second HEALD woke up and detached MYSELF from tubes and wires.
Three different Doctors stated it’s absolutely a miracle. The other day I left the intensive care section and ONE day later I left the hospital.
I AM more than FINE NOT brain damaged but BLESSED!
Jesus is real and he heals!
I had a very rare infection in the inner core of my brain. the “normal” outcome of this sickness is death, BUT THANKS TO THE LORD I’m safe and sound.

I have been following you for a long time. My name is Maureen and, in spite of my English name, I am 100 per cent Italian. My father lived in England many years ago and only left the UK with the intention of getting back to his beloved adoptive land. However, sometime afterwards he met my Italian mother and...here I am.. married to a half farmer half accountant Italian man, struggling to get as proficient as possible in English. But this comment was not meant to be a presentation of myself actually.

Thank you for sharing! I don't know that anyone would care, but since you shared so much I feel I've caught the "sharing" bug. The first 5 things about me that popped into my head:
1) I'm a composer so my ears perked up when you said you and your family play the violin! I've written a lot of classical music but mostly I compose for musical theater.
2) I'm an army brat (US Army) which, if you don't know, is a USA term for a child raised by a military parent (or parents). I've lived in Germany, Hawaii, Tennessee, Mississippi, Maryland, and Washington State. I was born in Illinois and have spent some years living there, too. I have visited much of the USA and Europe (I love London! Arsenal is my team.) As an adult I have settled in New York City.
3) Despite the busy travel implied by #2, I have never been south of the equator. I was once on a cruise in the Caribbean that came very close, though. I've also never been to Canada, right next door, but I have been to Mexico.
4) I am superstitious about "getting up on the wrong side of the bed." So I always get out of bed on the same side, and always touch the floor first each morning with the same foot.
5) Despite #1 above, I was born hard of hearing.

I'm a 25 years old physics bachelor student from the Netherlands. In an effort to improve on my pronunciation and vocabulary I found your English with Lucy channel. I'm currently taking a much needed mental and physical health break after a burnout. The burnout struck me because I was taking care of my chronically ill fiance on top of my full-time study and I had little to no help with either at the time. At this time I'm a fanatic gamer, coffee enthusiast and just to keep my brain functioning, I do self-study in the C++ and one day Python coding language. Surely, I will be back to finish my bachelor after this summer break, but for now, this change of tempo allows me to work on myself so I can give it my fullest again when I do turn back to work.

My 5 facts:
1. I hate my first Name ( Judith ) a lot because it is not really a common name where i come from ( germany ) and most people associate it with the character Judith Harper from Two and a half men :D
2. I am able to turn my tongue completely around in every direction and many other stuff with it, even without practising it before
3. My main subjects in higher classes were English, Physics and Geography and I really hated English at that time because 90% of my schoolmates were joining an exchange programme to the USA and they were totally fanatic about it and acting like they actually were native americans ( even if their accent was really annoying german :D ). And the schoolsystem changed English into the american grammar :(
4. I am married since 05.04.2019 and most people at my age asked me why I wanted to marry ,,that young''. I am 23 and most german people are not very into true love or lasting relationships.
5. I moved out from my parents' house when I was 15 years and 9 months old and did my final degree and my university degree completely without financial or emotional support.

I hated my first name too, because my father when angry /super serious addressed me "Maria' (my short name is different) for all my life, so an awful association stuck with it in my mind. My name is pretty common in my country, but this didn't help. Then I intentionally changed my perception of it and gradually it came to feel ok :)
