- A good method to install GM hood springs if you have access to a milling machine. In this case a Kearney & Trecker Model 2H mill from 1940.

That is a perfect example of working smarter, not harder.
I'll tip my hat for being clever! Thank you for the tip.
Nice workaround. I usually just bolt them to something and then use a ratchet strap to pull the spring.
That’s using the old hat rack! 🔥🔥🔥
Brilliant! I wish I could remember how I installed the springs on my GTO... I remember it wasn't easy...
Seen a farm truck today home-made large wooden box on the back standard cab Dodge 3500 Cummins off white just like yours! Oh yeah Duallys!
So that's how you load a crossbow!
Very Nice. 👍
Oooohhhh ur going to do it like that ! My brother in law has always said it , kinda smart assed but I think it , well no it doesn't fit here ! I can't believe you thought of that ! ✌️
For my mustang I mounted the hinge and put a notched square tube un the spring and used my body weight to extend the spring and hook it on.
Thanks for sharing
Ya gotta watch Lucky’s channel, he just bolts it on the car and uses an old alternator belt to stretch it on
That's a lot slicker. I never even thought about bolting the hinges on the car first! - T
@@Challengeher At least you're humble enough to admit that! 😊
- I was just going to reply the same thing. Lucky Costa and his fan belt. 😎
12" screwdriver puts those springs on. Wear proection though!!
As for springs they are teen weeny ones. Try 71 Galaxy with a longer and heavier bonnet
I just used an old V belt for leverage. But now I am certain I need a mill
Brilliant!
Personally I blame squirrels
Sure sure 😊
