- Ruined Paint? That's not gonna buff out! Wind and one unsecured fiberglass hood conspire to turn the Nova back into the wreck it once was. Headed back to the paint shop for repair.

Like how y'all effortlessly passed the camera, sucks about the wind/hood flying damage!!
You gotta keep the Cragars! It's looking good. Hang in there you guys.
The Cragers! Don’t sweat the small stuff as it’s just paint and a very easy fix.
Cragar SS wheels!
Well shit that sucks of all the things the wind could have knocked that hood into right?
Well I'm sure you bring it back there the same guys will do a hell of a job it'll look good again
Have a great turkey day though Thursday
I like the cragars they stand out those ssts especially on that car
PS- the Cragar SS wheels look waaaay cooler than the other ones on an old Nova.
Keep the cragars!!!!
cragars better looking old school
I live in Brooklyn, NY...where you can't even park a car with paint. But sorry for your loss...
Damn I want that fiberglass hood for my build ! Thanks for showing us your car
You don't need to take off the fenders. You can use two sided emblem adhesive 3M 08069.
I kinda think this is where the ironic "that will buff out" might be applicable?
Aww what a bummer! The wheel solution is simple though, two Cragars on one side, two Bon Jovi’s on the other…
As the Haul Ass Garage guys say, "Shiny cars ruined my life".
the car is coming along well guys!
That didn't look that bad in the video. Any chance of having a paintless-dent removal guy take a look at it first?
What a hard choice between those wheels I'm torn. I'm so sad about the paint what an awesome color!
🥴So Sorry, I'd be crying right now!
That totally sucks...
That would suck
That really sucks....I know how you feel, as one time back in the mid 70's when I had a '64 Nova drag car, I took my hood off to cut a hole in it and add one of those Mopar style hood scoops so popular back in the '70s, and was even bonding and blending it in. Well, it was propped standing on end drying the primer coat I applied as the scoop was nicely bonded and blended, then a gust of wind came out of nowhere during the day and blew it (scoop side down) onto concrete pavement and shattered the ABS plastic scoop- F'n A !
Oh man that sucks. You definitely know the feeling!
That sucks!
Ouch.
It does look quite nice so far... This ia the same color of the 1/25 scale Revell 69 Nova SS350 Model Kit I built about a year ago and came out quite nicely I think..
OUCH!! I guess it could have been worse though..
I have also built an AMT 1/25 72 Nova SS350 model kit that I painted in Gold about a year and a half ago and came out quite nicely as well..
Cragers and I’m convinced now that no paint is they way of my project Fairmont. Truck is mint!
That dent will push out without removing paint and the door scuff will buff out.
Wait a second you are selling this hood for $400. I just saw it on Facebook marketplace.
Haha, yes. I could be yours! - T
Personally I blame squirrels
stop blaming the squirrels! :)
