The new cuttable M1 strip light from Govee, really impressed with this strip light and Govee's first cuttable one with the awesome RGBIC segmented control and brighter colours, which automatically adjusts to the animations Checkout the links in the description for deals on Govee's lights
hi, i have a question. I bought the Govee LED RGBIC lights. i was wondering if i bought another one and hook them up somewhere, will the one i have plugged read the second ones as well
@@GeekStreet One set of this Govee M1 is 5 meters. how many can i pair together with an extension clip without losing functionality and brightness? I need about 16 meters in total. Also, can they be "jumped" ? Can i have a wire in the middle between two light srips for areas i don't want to illuminate? Please let me know @GeekStreet
Govee never seems to stop innovating. They are staying on top of the light strip competition. The cutting and syncing features are top notch. I'll try to visit their CES booth in january and see what they have upcoming. like 113
I got a this set of led strips and I will say for the price I will definitely recommend for anyone thinking otherwise. Definitely a must buy and great for my garage/mancVe
@Geek Street If I buy the LED strip with 5m, and I only need 2m for my TV lowboard, then I can shorten the strip only to 3m (if I understood that correctly in the video). What can I do with the last meter ? Can I disable / turn off this segment in the app ?
Excellent video. These strip lights sound like a major improvement. The one downside I see is the price, as $99 for LED strip lights is really high. - Govee M1
I have gen 1 lights on my TV and have been debating on upgrading to the T2 and get some lyra floor lamps and some cylinder ones. My concern is now that the m1 is out and so much brighter and better, I wonder if they will be upgrading their whole line with this tech. Hate to buy in and then have them do that. Thoughts?
Hey mate, great video, I'm actually re visiting it.. Can I ask, where did you get that shelving unit from? I'm looking for something and that looks like it might tick the boxes.. Thanks!
I own one of these Govee rgbics and although the customisability is great they have some issues, first of all all those preset effects they have are boring and very repetitive, I've seen strip lights on youtube with cooler rainbow effects and such, notably Sanwo The second and my biggest gripe is that the animations are soo choppy especially at minimum brightness, if you try and sleep with them on as a night light it's very noticeable. The smooth animations like the rainbow type could have been done much better in terms of the LEDs fading into each other but they aren't The music modes are very cool though
@@GeekStreet Sorry, I mean outside of the T1/T2 kits. Trying to figure out my options to have a room fully synced up, but both hue and govee seem to charge a lot. I was thinking of saving money on generic zigbee led strips, but am worried that they won't interact with huesync on PC.
@@shanroxalot5354 ah ok, you do have Lytmi and Ambivision but they dont interact with other lights. Govee doesn't work with Philips hue, with Philips hue you can get cheaper led strip but its still expensive.
Wouldn't go as far as saying these are the first light strips you can cut lol. I've been cutting my alixpress ones since years. Still a nice product tho!

Using the Govee app and sync center you can sync them. I've done a video showing how to do that.

As per usual perfect presentation and review with absolutely no filler. Thank you.
Thanks for the comment much appreciated

Great video! Where’s the reference for what gauge of wire should be used to bridge segments, depending on lengths?

Thank you! Yes the price isn't cheap but with black friday sales coming I'm pretty sure it'll be on sale.

Bought this on Amazon where they offered a coupon discount. Any insight into when Govee will do their over-the-air update to enable Matter?
I had problems with the blue of my strip lights going out in random section afterwhile. Has that been fixed on the updated version?
Gove have definitely upped their game with the quality of lighting they are punting out.
Do you know when the new T2 lighting system is out in the UK?
It's already available
Here's my review - ruclips.net/video/1nE1JJjcZtc/видео.html, includes UK link too
Nice, set up.
Can you control M1 with Amazon Alexa?
I went to the end GOVEE M1🎉
Yes you can
❤️
Looks awesome!
🤙
Can these be used alone with dreamview without the other LED ones that you get with the T1 kit?
T1 is required only is you want the syncing functionality with your TV.
Hi! I need a 1.8m light strip. Can I clarify why the M1 strips can't be cut shorter than 3m since there is a point every half a meter?
It's because it will stop the app functionality.
@@GeekStreet Ohh? Can you please elaborate on what will happen?
@@GeekStreet By the way, is it possible to use a corner connector strip with the M1 light strips too?
@@leonardgoh5134 you lose segmented control from what I was told, but not something I have tried.
@@leonardgoh5134 yes that should work
If I buy more then one of these light strips and place them different places around my room could I have all the lights be in sync?
Yes you can do that
@@GeekStreet I also just have one last question. If I buy the govee M1, the neon light strip and the t2 can they all be in sync together?
If all 3 of those products from govee work together that would be pretty cool
@@isaiahv963 yes that will work too
Is the M1 the only led strip that syncs wirelessly with screen content?
No you need to use in conjuction with this ruclips.net/video/1nE1JJjcZtc/видео.html
