Great video! I would say the fact that Lumix is a work horse that you can always trust is a big deal. Yes, autofocus is not on the same level, but it's still very usable. Leaning towards Panasonic.
In which of these two cameras is the moiré effect more noticeable when shooting video? The S5IIX does not have an AA filter, but it is not certain whether the A7IV has one, as the information on the Internet varies.
Hi , great video. I am looking at buying my first high end camera and narrowed it to these 2. I am looking for a do it all setup. I will be doing mostly youtube and maybe movie shorts . High quality photos of movie props . I am leaning towards the Panasonic. I specialize in Horror so low lighting . Which would you use ?
Hi Adam. I’m curious on your thoughts between these 2 cameras shooting B-roll @ 120fps. How would auto focus perform on both setups. I’m right in between buying one of them..
I haven't tried either at 120 FPS, just used 4K6. I'd say they are pretty neck and neck but I will give the sony the edge for focus, and the lumix for lifelikeness.
Thanks Adam it was pretty useful! I was hesitating between these 2… I’ll be buying the Panasonic shortly as I make more videos than shooting photos. I just need to find which lens would be the best option when I use the camera in low light… (?)
Usually indoor events / clubs. I’ve read so many reviews and feedback about the 24-105 -that’s a bad ass for sure! Thanks for your reply, much appreciated 🙏
I shoot past 6400 on this camera no problem sometimes but I haven’t done a ton of shooting events with the f4 lens. I need to do a review on it at some point
missed some points on the Sony… battery life is better actually, then the 33mp vs 24mp for cropping, separate video/photo mode switch, the fact you get the similar features in the much lighter A7C2, etc…
I'm confused about your b-roll shot at ruclips.net/video/x18SeP6wkEE/видео.htmlsi=D_jCif0yL7GqcEAD&t=175 (2m55s). You're not showing the S5IIx! It has a white label on it. What did you do for that?

Totally agree!

After using it longer the s5ii x definitely struggles with moire.
@@adamtalkstech Thank you for your reply. So is the A7IV really better at this? I just bought an S5IIX and I don't know how to fix this problem.
Yes it is, but I still think the S5IIX is a better overall camera.

What do you shoot mainly? I really like the 24mm 1.8 and the 35mm 1.8, but the 24-105 F4 is my favorite b roll machine lens.

Vielen Dank für die tolle Einführung in den neuen Lumix. Interessieren Sie sich für SmallRig-Produkte?
Yes I love Smallrig! Great stuff
missed some points on the Sony… battery life is better actually, then the 33mp vs 24mp for cropping, separate video/photo mode switch, the fact you get the similar features in the much lighter A7C2, etc…
That’s fair. But those are more photo based. I have definitely noticed the song battery life was better.
super informative thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Some people compare the colours and image quality of the lumix to Leica

Just the angle of light reflecting I think :)
@@adamtalkstech Fooled me!
For video, got to be the S5IIX, but the a7IV will perform just as well for you IRL.
It just kind of depends on your needs.
drool. s5IIX. Please Santa, I'll be good next year
