Thank you for pushing bite protocol! Not enough people keep one or actually read up on the actual affects the venom will have on their bodys. I got tagged by a squam (bush viper) and had to transfer to another hospital because the first didnt have any that would follow the protocol and kept saying it had to be a rattlesnake that bit me. Ended up meeting a great doctor that specialized in african venom and she was great to me.
Thank you for watching and please share my channel. I am trying to do some good for the venomous community
Doctors are the real nightmare - not snakes. ;-) Snakes never pretend to know all while they don´t know shit, they are not arrogant and think themselves gods..... Must have been horrible to have been bitten and not getting the right treatment. Glad that you found a doctor in the end who believed you.
Your the best content when it comes to venomous. Really glad to have found you.
Thank you Don and please share our videos.

Love your vids...I love how you handle your snakes..stress free is key..good stuff..keep up the great vids..I learn alot from you.
First of all, I love your videos. Anyone who has the knowledge, the experience, and isn't into venomous reptiles for the dangerous ego trip, you're the one. The one question that I'd like to ask is if all of the antivenom that you keep on hand have an expiration date?
Yes all anti venom does have an expiration date however the lyophiphilized antivenin remains very good and usable, well past the expiration date!
Wow that was fast kills..another great vid brother..you guys keep up the great work.
Your snakes are huge. That place is a gold mine.
No its more like a money pit. It is very expensive to maintain them. Food, electric bills and everything else that goes with it... Thank you for watching

@5:38 check out the orb that's keeping you safe bro! On the left side upper part of the screen
Great content willie
Brother, you are preaching to the choir! I have said ,at nausium,if you can spend the money to PROPERLY care for the animals you keep,it can be a dog,a cat,a gold fish or exotic venomous reptiles, you have no business keeping them. Anti venom being my pet peeve. Having worked at a large zoos reptile dept,I know the cost for it comes out of that departments budget, and are almost never remembersed for it,and like you say, they might not even have it because zoos don’t keep what they don’t have antivenom for. My facility will be a business, but it’s also going to be my personal collection and I’m going to be spending a ton of money to keep them right, safe, and responsible; to the animals, the public,my staff and my self. It’s so refreshing to see a pro handle and care for these animals the way it should be done, the way I do,and not hot dogging for their video blog or to advertise for their tatoo business, free handling and acting out for the camera. That’s BS!
When do you think your place will be open.
Total pro!
Thank you for watching. And please share
Awesome video buddy thanks for sharing. Carl
Thank you for watching there will be more coming
Thank you
Very interesting information. Where is the antivenom produced? I saw spanish words on it and wanted to ask if it is from Mexico or maybe Costa Rica? I once visited an institution where they produce antivenom for export in San José, Costa Rica. At that time they used horses to get the antivenom.
I believe the one in this video is produced in Costa Rica or Brazil; in general it varies... depends on the type. There is a website, Thai Red Cross, which carries a lot of the antivenoms I use. Horses is still the gold standard way, tried and tested, how to make antivenom. However there was just research completed by Dr Hans Clevers and he grew snake venom glands as organoids using stem cells, and the organoids actually produce a lot of venom. So we are anticipating that the global snakebite crisis will get some assistance with this scientific breakthrough!
@@VenomCentral Thank you! Growing snake venom glands - wow, that´s incredible! I hope it works because so many poor people die in Asia and Africa because of lack of antivenom/too expensive antivenom.
Grow your own venom to create antivenom
cosmosmagazine.com/biology/grow-your-own-venom-to-create-anti-venom Just one story of many now regarding this new "fringe" science. Really interesting stuff.
My antivenins are from Costa Rica
@@VenomCentral I just read the article. That´s absolutely fascinating, I am really grateful for the information that you provide! I have already learned so much that I can´t believe that I found your channel only yesterday :-)
I really do hope that this new scientific approach really works and that the pharmaceutical companies decide to make billions with it, If there is not enough profit in it for the pharma industry there is no chance for anything....
Please do it in that video on how to get antivenom
Hi bru love your snakes ❤❤
Hey Professor, I have a quick question. I know this is an older video and I've probably watched it too many times but what is the BPIND number? Or did I hear that correctly? I'm pounding all this in my hard head one video at a time.
Some great looking snakes
More videos please
Nice video
Where do you get your rattlesnake antvenon from?
Kristen Wiley, KY Reptile Zoo posted the pdf and a step by step of what to do to get Antivenom. She's helpful and knows the steps, info and how to obtain it..and a big believer like I am, every facility and keeper should stock appropriate amount and species specific (for exotics) in case of an accident. Better to have it and not need it... Iys an overseas order Check for her on her Facebook. Thanks for watching!
@@VenomCentralThank you. I keep antivenon for African and Asian species but I couldn't find any info on how to obtain some for Central and South American species. How much does antivenon for south american rattlesnake species cost.
Awesome rug under you
Hi Willy, does anti-venom have a shelf life and if so how long?
Yes it does have an expiration date, which is marked on the vial. However I've been told personally as well as read many research papers that state if it's stored properly it cant far surpass the date. But I am not the science guy, just the snake guy and my thoughts are that I'd rather have it, than not! I keep all my antivenom refrigerated and tagged for species in separate containers ready to be grabbed in case of emergency. Thanks so much for watching and all your great questions! 🐍💪
Hey..Shortly, what is reasons why all snakes like,Atheris vipers dont has antivenom??what is resaons why other snake venom the antivenom dont, work at all those, stuff🤔??
Beautiful 😍 !!!
I know it’s 4 years old, but could you please let me know from where can I buy the crotalidae polyvalent, I’m in TX.
What happen to rattlesnake x?
Thanks so much for watching! Buying snakes online video shows him for the 1st time!!! 🙏🐍
I just had a very aggressive rattler come up my drive after my dog. I didn’t know that western rattlesnakes were that aggressive
That's why I hate it when people say their are no aggressive snakes just defensive. Granted most of the time they ARE just being defensive but occasionally there are snakes that are just down right aggressive. People that say they aren't haven't seen a warm black mamba in action. Snakes have different personalities just like people and dogs or other creatures.
Every vaccine I’ve ever dealt with at least needs to be refrigerated if not sub-zero? Not true for anti-venom? At least extends the shelf life?
Definitely keep the anti-venom in the refrigerator!
a external mic will be good
You put your first Mexican Pygmy in a male container man
We all make mistakes. I know who is who
Venom Central just giving you a hard time brother I know you got this 😁
It’s crazy those have no tops
