Glad you like it! They take about 1/100 of the time to produce so it’s a way to provide a lot more info much faster.
I bought the Misen dutch oven on kickstarter, and got both the grill lid and knob lid options. I love it! I've never actually used the grill AS a lid since I have the knob option, so it just permanently lives on my stove for grilling up sausages or bell peppers etc. on the go. For cleaning the grill (and uncoated cast iron generally) I usually just give it an initial rinse, put some baking soda on it for a bit, pour on some boiling water, and give it a good scrub with my bristle brush. Then give it another good rinse/extra scrub if needed, then reheat on the stove to dry, and heat it up with a very light brush of oil to re-season/store. The uncoated cast iron gives such delicious flavour. I also use the regular knob lid option as a lid for the grill if I want a bit of steaming action, which is handy for making super tasty grilled chicken etc. since I don't have a BBQ in my tiny apartment... grill lid + knob lid is the next best thing! haha
The dutch oven itself is also great! I really like the interior coating which makes it easy to see the browning (like he said), pretty decently non-stick with very little oil needed, and I've found it SO easy to clean! This is my go-to pot for giant batches of chilli, carrot soup, or anything else I'm batch cooking :) sure its a bit heavy, but I haven't found it too unwieldy personally. I did show my grandma who found it a bit heavy for her though, so maybe just not the best option for folks with mobility challenges if they like to transfer recipes between stovetop and oven. I rarely do this, so I've never had an issue there.
The main reason I got Misen's dutch oven is you get really good functionality for SUCH a good price compared to other popular brands. Would 100% recommend! I have their chef's knife + paring knife too and love them. Glad you include them in your reviews with the other more mainstream brands!

That grill pan lid. Wow two in one!
Ive had the Misen Dutch Oven for 3 years now, mine did not come with the grill pan, I have the regular lid with a handle. That said it's a good dutch oven, i use it regularly and i haven't had any major issues. The enamel has held up well although there about 2 small chip spots around the lid. I'd recommend it to someone looking for a less expensive alternative to a Le Creuset dutch oven

Honestly I don't like this feature. I would rather buy separate pieces. I want my dutch oven lid to have a knob and I don't want the look of it having been put on the stove and the discoloration that comes with that. Also the extra weight is an issue for me.

Well, the only thing that worked for me was the grill lid, because the glaze on the inside of the pot came off, I called Misen and they never solved the problem or even bothered to answer me, maybe it's good but not for me, I wouldn't buy it anymore.
Worth reaching out again. They ran into financial issues last summer and almost the entire staff turned over. You will likely get a better response now.
You did not review how the grill pan works. The size of the indentations are important, don't you think, so you can then evaluate how well the grill pan works.
