just had to replace my switch on an old Simplicity. the switch was worn out and getting stuck. caused the starter solenoid to get fried.
Can you tell me what that repair would have cost your customer? That is, parts and labor?
From Don's Small engine repair I noticed that you didn't put any dialectical Grease on the prongs of the switch to keep it clean so they will not rust or do you have to use it
They don’t put none on at the factory?
My grasshopper mower doesn't shut off when you turn key off it's a 723 d think a switch would fix it
If it's a diesel it's the fuel solenoid. Until your ready to replace it you can reach under the hood and flip the arm on it by hand. Just Google what the fuel solenoid shutoff looks like so you know what to look for.

Just a suggestion. You might want to disconnect the battery.
Why? I love living on the wild side.
What a mess, they never cleaned this unit . I hoped you disconnected the battery first.
Dirt daubers always ruin my switches if I take the key out for five minutes.
Seriously there is not a decent video on the internet about rewiring a lawn tractor. Someone Seriously needs to show what wire goes where and what each one does. Including all safety switches. Mower medic, you are easy to follow and understand. How about having a go at it. Im trying to rewire a lawn tractor that Someone has gotten to bypassed all safety switches and done away with the ignition and hooked it up to a horn button. The mess of wires is incredible. The lady wants it put back to an ignition switch and all the saftey switches working. There is absolutely nothing i can find helpfull.
