Both my TAURUS G3 and G3C shoot low unless I center hold and also put the front sight dot high above the rear so that i can just about see the bottom of the front sight top of gun. Then its accurate strange that the factory sights are like that.

It's probably a combination of grip and ammo. Try shooting it from a rest and see what you get. Every gun seems to have a preference for specific loads for best accuracy.

Others are finding the G3C shoots low with 115 and 124 but likes and shoots right on with 147

What ammo are you using? Lots of smoke. I have a G3C and never seen that much smoke before.

Monarch value 115 fmj. Cheapest available. Going to post some various self defense rounds next week. I saw a lot of people complaining about feed issues, and I’m going to test mine.

HELLO what sight picture/ hold are you using. 6 o'clock? center? 12? my g3c hits dead center but shoots low . have heard its the gun, but to me if you aim correctly hold the gun correctly and trigger correctly. it should hit where u aim it. n

@@OutDoorsModerator yes I use center hold as well, have even tried 12 o'clock. I have the TAURUS TH9 and very accurate with it. Have a p365 xl and just wow sweet shooting. I think its the trigger pull and the size difference , Even try a little Kentucky windage and still low. must be dipping the nose trigger control.

@user-ex4rd7hv4m Any number of reasons for hitting low. I use a combat hold on all my 9mm sub and micro compacts and wherever I put the front sight dot is where the round will impact. These are close range defense pistols so hitting slightly low is not going to matter. All guns have a factory zero and that is highly dependent on the ammo the factory was using. Most US and Latin American made 9mms are going to be zeroed with 115gr. FMJ/ball while most European made 9mms are going to be zeroed with 124gr. NATO FMJ/ball. So you get accuracy shift using heavy and light for caliber bullets. Add shooter error and rounds will impact left or low or both off hand shooting because the gun is being moved when the trigger is pulled. Hold the gun really tight, point the gun at the target, and pull the trigger WITHOUT MOVING the gun. Shoot the pistol from a rest so the gun is still and not moving using different ammo and then find the best ammo for its shot placement. Sights really don't have to be replaced or adjusted unless the low impact shift is drastic and consistently the same over all kinds of ammo. If that is the case then the front sight can be lowered or if the impact is high raised. Rear sights are drift adjustable for windage.

The guy is using a Weaver grip and stance. It was very popular about 40 years ago but has mostly been replaced by the Isoceles stance.

500+. One round failed to seat. Just bumped the slide and she kept feeding. I’m sure it was the ultra cheap ammo.
