Pollak is PURE GOLD every time he comes on the show. I still crack up thinking about that Jack Nicholson “you wanna know what’s surreal?” story he told last year. Can’t wait to watch this one.
Kevin Pollack is one of those rare types that has stuff happen to him that make great stories and who can then recall and relate those stories anywhere, anytime. If he lived in Victorian times, he'd be known as a world-traveling raconteur, and would be welcome at all the best soirees. Thank goodness he's around today to grace talk shows like Rich Eisen and entertain us endlessly.
How great is it that Kevin is telling Rich about Peter Falk was a favorite guest of Johnny Carson and years later, he himself, is the Peter Falk of the Rich Eisen show. A guest that ALWAYS delivers. These are always immediate watches and eventual rewatches!
There are entertainers, there are comedians and there are actors. Then, there is Kevin Pollack! The man can do it all and is always razor sharp and has stories no one's ever heard. I love Kevin and I would really love for him to have a starring vehicle before he wraps it all up. I left out that he is also an outstanding impressionest!
28:53, you got a little taste of Albert Brooks in “Lost in America,” with Garry Marshall. Would love to have heard more, but you get so much with every interview with this guy. Kudos, thanks for posting!
I'm glad he mentioned Keaton in, "Night Shift". Me and The Boys were laffing our heads off! A comic gets to be funny and riff in a movie?! "Feed mayo directly to the tuna! Call Starkist in the morning."
That he does the eyes when he imitates Peter Falk's voice is true commitment to the bit...whenever I need a laugh, I go to his stories of "A Few Good Men."
Attended West Valley College in Saratoga, Ca with Kevin. He was just getting going at places like Rooster T. Feathers in Sunnyvale. Always been a good guy.
I have never not been absolutely bowled over from the first time I've seen Mr. Pollak's performances to now. Whether it be impressions, theatrical acting, story telling, I know I am going to have a great time listening/watching him. A true gem of the entertainment world; no ifs, ands or buts!
Just remember folks ... if you invite a comedian, or aspiring comedian, to your home, your office, your event ... they are going to file every single thing that happens away for future reference. This is what they do. It might be useful later as a bit. Or even as just a good story. Either way it's something that will make somebody somewhere sometime laugh. And that's the get. Best 31 minutes of my day just spent. Thank you Rich and Kevin. That was delightful. EDIT: By the way, Mr. Pollak ... thank you for the laughs. Every single damn one of them. Laughter is a wonderful gift and you have given to so many for so long.
He is one of the funniest people of all time. His autobiography, read by him on the audio book (only way to read it) is spectacular. Good show, Rich and team!
all Rich has to do is say 5 words, then Kevin Pollack is like "OOHHH! That reminds me of a story!" lol this guy is an absolute gem, could listen to him tell stories all day
I laughed out loud the whole way through this interview. Kevin Pollak is really one of the funniest people on the planet, and I love hearing his stories . Can I also say how much I love Rich Eisen, he lets his guests speak and he has the most genuine laugh, half of the fun of Visa interviews are watching Rich eisen's reaction to the guests. In that way he actually reminds me a lot of Johnny Carson, who was also so genuine so genuine, let his guests speak, and had the best sincere laugh
I love Kevin Pollak. His BEST call-in story was calling into the Larry King show with Alan Arkin on set, and HE calls in as Alan Arkin. That was one of the most hysterical stories I have personally heard him tell.
Jack Lemon was amazing! I watched his movies with my Dad when I was a kid and laughed. I watch them now and laugh even harder! My favorite was ensign pulmer in Mister Roberts. He and Walter were an amazing duo.
The most hidden talent, he is amazing from everything he has been in, willow, grumpy old men, few good men, nine yards, just a treat of a human thank you…. I do impressions because of you
Some of us are old enough and lucky enough, to have caught Pollak when he first started appearing on Johnny Carson. If you have a chance, I strongly recommend you find and watch all of those. At that time, the master impressionist we all knew was Rich Little. Kevin Pollak came along, promoting movies like he discussed in this interview. But, no host would interview him, without making him do impressions. Even as his acting resume' got bigger, so many people still considered him a comedian and impressionist, before they considered him an actor. Even with the dramatic roles he had done. He still does so many great impressions, of a lot of actors the younger generations aren't as familiar with. But, I think his impressions make people seek out clips of these actors, like Lemon, Matthau, Brooks, Falk, to see how accurate Kevin's impressions are. Pollak could tour, not doing just a straight, stand-up comedy show. But, a show where he'd tell stories as the great storyteller he is, including all of these great impressions...and we would all flock to see him. He probably wouldn't think that would be much of a show, and that people wouldn't find it that entertaining. But, so many people love watching any Kevin Pollak interviews, primarily for the stories he tells and the impressions that go along with it. It would be his storytelling that would get as many laughs as any stand-up show out there. I'd buy tickets in a heartbeat.
Keaton did his early 70's local hanging out in an area known as the 'Valley of Sickness.' He had a keen ear for the names and mannerisms of the people around us. I have met some characters in my time, but none like those in the VOS.
He did a stand up show at Hobart College (upstate N.Y. ‘86-ish(?)) Came to our fraternity house after the show - had a beer w/ us - did a Capt. Kirk that was hysterical!
Pollak has a great line in Avalon, to the effect of, "Hey Jules, remember I told you we'd have to cut a few corners? Well, the insurance was one of those corners..." when trying to explain to Aidan Quinn why they were not going to collect after a ire destroyed their business.
My older brother's birthday was Oct 30 and he got GREAT parties. Mine is next to Christmas and NO ONE wants to buy someone else's kid a present so Mom celebrated my HALF birthday in the summer. I got a cake and gifts from family on my real birthday but the friends party was in summer.
when he's giving the speech to the employees at Bed Bath & Beyond then starts talking about the r * pist in Crown Heights "sorry that's from my other job, ignore that..... well, don't ignore it if you live in Crown Heights" every scene he was in, he was pure gold
I'm pretty sure that both Kevin and the folks at SNL are already aware of each other. If they had wanted that to happen, it probably would have by now. Years ago... when he was actually somewhat relevant.
Rich Eisen is better than The Tonight Show, The Late Show, and almost as good as Jimmy Kimmel. He needs an audience much larger than sports can provide. He has a way of getting inside the heart of his guests.
Pollak is an absolute legend on the Rich Eisen Show. He kills it every time.
Always keep him coming back. A humble genius.
He had a great interview with Phil Hendrie.
YES!!!!! Great discussion.
You can see why he became one of Carson's favorites. Rich should bringing him back more often, even when he doesn't have a project to promote.
Pollak is a legend in his own right. Couldn’t stop smiling the entire interview. His stories …absolute gold.
Pollak is PURE GOLD every time he comes on the show. I still crack up thinking about that Jack Nicholson “you wanna know what’s surreal?” story he told last year.
Can’t wait to watch this one.
I laughed for days about that
I could sit and listen to his stories for hours. The most down to earth famous person there is.
Kevin Pollak is the guy that should be hosting the Oscars.
Absolutely!
That’s a great shout 👋😎

Kevin Pollak NEVER not delivers. Phenomenal. I was at home and I clapped. I could listen to him tell stories forever.
Kevin Pollak deserves MORE interviews. I miss seeing him do impressions. He's been a favorite of mine for decades.
How great is it that Kevin is telling Rich about Peter Falk was a favorite guest of Johnny Carson and years later, he himself, is the Peter Falk of the Rich Eisen show. A guest that ALWAYS delivers. These are always immediate watches and eventual rewatches!
Best guest ever! Total raconteur with an amazing ability to impersonate others in a hilarious way. Thanks for having him on. Kevin is a gem.
I saw him do standup in SF in the early 80s. Two things: he was hysterical, and everyone knew he was going to make it big.
If it was a 4 hour interview with Kevin I'd watch every minute of it !!!
Agreed!!! Pollak has to host the Oscars!!!
Not too many people can do a Paul Reiser impression, and even fewer would bother.
I keep very happily forgetting Paul Reiser ever existed, and then some jackwagon has to come along and remind me. Why?????
@@DogSlobberGardens-i7f BEST COMMENT
I was not expecting a Paul Reiser impression, then he nailed it. Unbelievable.
That made me laugh. Funny comment.
@@DogSlobberGardens-i7f Beverly Hills Cop, of course.
I have to admit this is this is the best guest EVER on Rich Eisen !
Yes. Kevin AND Larry David. Both hilariously funny.
Kevin has and Still the best unnoticed comedian in history ! ❤
Dude has been owning the couch for over 3 decades. Sit and watch every time I see his name
28:53, you got a little taste of Albert Brooks in “Lost in America,” with Garry Marshall. Would love to have heard more, but you get so much with every interview with this guy. Kudos, thanks for posting!
KP needs to write a dam book with all his stories. Man I love hearing them.
Kevin has to have a good story about Burgess Meredith from the Grumpy Old Men movies.
Kevin's Christopher Walken impression is perfect.
Easily the best Eisen guest/ interview.
I'm glad he mentioned Keaton in, "Night Shift". Me and The Boys were laffing our heads off! A comic gets to be funny and riff in a movie?!
"Feed mayo directly to the tuna! Call Starkist in the morning."
Loved that film. Still my fav Keaton and Ron Howard film.
That he does the eyes when he imitates Peter Falk's voice is true commitment to the bit...whenever I need a laugh, I go to his stories of "A Few Good Men."
Amazing actor and comedian! Love him.
Kevin is So Hysterical With Rich Eisen😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
Kevin is THE celebrity I would love to hang out with.
He was great in "Grumpy Old Men".
That’s gold jerry. Gold!
Kevin is in another level. Best couch guest wherever he goes ...how good was he in The Usual Suspects?
Very good
I said he’ll flip ya, flip ya fo real

Love the show Rich been following since you were on audience Channel and Kevin Pollock is the best

Wow. That was fantastic. Man alive. So many great stories. Not sure if he's written a memoir, but he should.
When he called Reiser back how did he not lead with, "excuse me sir, just one more thing..."?
Kevin Pollak is the best!! Funny, humble, crazy talented and a wonderful storyteller. Rich - KEEP BRINGING HIM BACK PLEASE!!!
He is the best guest hands down
I laughed out loud the whole way through this interview. Kevin Pollak is really one of the funniest people on the planet, and I love hearing his stories . Always awesome stories with him on. Think I'm gonna watch grumpy old men this weekend. One. And two. Classic good ol movies.....😊
He’s #$&@! amazing! One of your best guests ever and always!
Pollock has perfected the art of talk-show guest. A legend that prepares - and then kills the spot.
The best show, Rich is the best interviewer in show business today!
POLLAK IS A FUCKING LEGEND. He needs to be a regular on everything sharing stories.
I love Kevin Pollak. His BEST call-in story was calling into the Larry King show with Alan Arkin on set, and HE calls in as Alan Arkin. That was one of the most hysterical stories I have personally heard him tell.
Terrific appearance. He had me every second. I do miss the Kevin Pollak Chat Show
The best show ever and KP is the God GOAT!
Always the enjoyable interview. He is also great on his Podcast, particularly when he interviewed Academy Award winner Glen Hansard
Jack Lemon was amazing! I watched his movies with my Dad when I was a kid and laughed. I watch them now and laugh even harder! My favorite was ensign pulmer in Mister Roberts. He and Walter were an amazing duo.

Damn! My birthday is Nov 1 and I share it with my dad. Love hearing these stories, Kevin is fantastic.
One of the last good guys left in Hollywood. Super funny too
12:44 I am listening to the chat and I would have sworn that Christopher Walken joined the discussion.
Kevin, absolutely the best. Thank you.
We love Kevin and Jamie! Bring back the chat show!!!!
Thank you Rich! Couldn't stop laughing.......stories are the BEST!
i could watch kevin doing JUST de niros facial expression for HOURS.

Absolute GOLD. One of the all-time funniest MFers EVER. It's crazy. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Pollak stories are the greatest!
Worth every second, every time.
He was stellarin Grumpy Old Men and 3000 miles to Graceland. Can’t teach that.
OMG! Talk about a laugh riot all the way through this video.
God bless Kevin Pollak, who is one of the greatest impersonators ever!
Top 3 guest.....no wonder he is a "regular"....quality content.
Night Shift was a great movie. "Feed mayonnaise to the tuna" is one of the great lines in there!
Kevin Pollak is a great raconteur . I have always been a fan .
Kevin is a national treasure
Any time I see Kevin, I watch!
Out of the park every single time.
I haven't laughed this hard in a long time, thank you.

Whatever station made Columbo is missing a golden opportunity not making a spin off of Columbo son or grandson as a Detective….with Pollack!
Kyle Chandler would be a fantastic Columbo.
@@blazeesq2000
Good call!
@ respectfully no. Go back and watch the first few seasons of Columbo. Mark Ruffalo.
Dude's a legend. A true link to old Hollywood. Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe, Jack Lemmon, etc...
Gosh, he puts such a huge grin on my face.
Every other question Rich asks Kevin says, "That reminds me of a story". 😂
I miss Kevins podcast.. he does great interviews
Kev's lady: Hey, you're going on Rich's show with that bad bed hair?
Kevin: And?
Kevin was great in the HBO series From the Earth to the Moon.
I totally forgot Kevin was in Willow playing one of those little sprites. When I think of him in movies I always think of The Usual Suspects first.
Absolute gold!!!
30 minutes is not enough. I would gladly pay for you to do a three hour segment.
His impersonations are so realistic. No “”over-exaggeration” like most impersonators use.
Amazing. Every dang time
You can see the comedic side of Michael Keaton in the Other Guys.
when he's giving the speech to the employees at Bed Bath & Beyond then starts talking about the r * pist in Crown Heights "sorry that's from my other job, ignore that..... well, don't ignore it if you live in Crown Heights"
every scene he was in, he was pure gold
I love how Kevin can't help doing the eye thing when he imitates Falk.
I forgot how great Kevin Pollack is at storytelling.
Kevin for a short time after high school in San Jose worked with me at Togos sandwich shop by San Jose State. He was always funny even then.
South Bay guy. Great.
It would be beneficial if Kevin Pollak's agent or business manager sees this; he is an ideal candidate to host SNL. They should be contacted. ASAP
Pollak has Peter Falk down to a tee, even mimicking the prosthetic eye.
Best story teller...EVER!
Talented guy great impressionist
Holy crap what a great Reiser impersonation
