I don't speak English very well so if you'll excuse me for the writing and spelling errors, but from what I understood from your comment it's basically chrono cross, with better graphics, Mio being a diluted version of Kid, Noah being a version of Serge and Z's a version of lynx, more or less where a supercomputer goes corrupt and attacks the two worlds and loses control, and in the end serge and kid swear to meet again, i'll have to play it but chrono cross is my favorite game of all time , but perhaps this argument is somewhat uninspired, although I hoped that with the merger of the two worlds zanza and the architect would come together and that would be the beginning of the conflict between religios from xenoblade 2 who adore the architect and atheists from xenoblade 1 who see It poses a danger so this turn can be a good thing.

I hope after enough of us finish the game we can get a more concreate read on the ending & what it's supposed to mean. Whether the world's merged or not it still leaves a lot of questions as to how it effects the previous history of both, what happened in the separate worlds after the end, etc.
It didnt. Their worlds clashed with eachother. They could have annihilated each other but the universes simply stopped in time. From this moment on shit gets kind of murky, where somehow a world is created taking on elements of what is found on both worlds. This world is then held captive by an accumulation of all fears and negative emotions, endlessly destroying and recreating itself, using organisms life force as a source for its continuity. The separation however went successfully, total annihilation of both worlds was somehow avoided and speculating here, likely both worlds regressed to their normal state again. Why only Nia and Poppi are in Aionios kind of beats me, but I atleast expect theyre going back to their respectful world and time back to their own friends/husband based on what Nia says.
@@wolfx.2546 If you play you will eventually come across a statue of rex, shulk, and the other ouroboros hero. They indeed exist in this universe of frozen time. You can even see their history that both rex and shulk also fight againts moebius. By the end when the seperation happened looks like the universe reset again and the origin finally did it job to reboot the universe safely. @@timothyliong3772 i get that, but I question the "legitimacy" of those statues. As the Origin is destroyed, the world of the endless now ceases to exist. It seems to me that Nia and Poppi are in a different world altogether, a world Rex does not take actual place in. This is only my perception of things, but... something tells me the new scenario they are planning to do has to do something but its just a guess but what if we get to have both agnus and keves be together again to beat 1 last boss together with the weapons of pyra blade weapon and shulk his monado and noah his infinity blade because why else would there be 3 weapons next to each other in the expansion pass so something tells me this new story is like a thing what happend before the war or after the war like peace has been made
Shulk and Fiora did pair up, but as for having kids, it's still unclear. Since High Entia can live for centuries given their ridiculous long lifespan and Queen Melia having Shulk's Monado REX mounted as a memento, it's implied that Shulk may have died of old age, along with Fiora, Reyn, Sharla, Dunban, and probably Riki too depending on a Nopon's lifespan.
The entire Game I was alway right befor crying tears cause everything was so depressed and sad. (Of course there was some funny moments and every character was written extremely good but for my Opinien Z was the most-badest-written Villain. So we got Zanza, a God who just want some friends, Logos who was corrupted from Amalthus amd did everything for Jins Dream, and we have Z who is still afraid of the Future. So yeah Z have no deeper context, no backstory, he exists just because he's the final Boss. But the Fight was some of the dopest shit I ever seen. And the Ending.... it hits on a whole another level than XC2 or XC2 Torna the Golden Country. I just cant wait for the Story DLC and the Future for the Xeno Series (Still hope for XCX 2)
I’m so confused why did Nia say “see you again to Rex I’m assuming it’s been 100+ years”? Is the world merging only a portion and only Nia was caught in it and the rest of the Xeno 2 crews in the original world.
Rex can live as long as any of them so long as he's bonded to mythra's or pyra's core crystal. they probably did that. so rex is very likely still around.
From what I'm understanding. Both worlds merged. Lots and lots and LOTS of time and events passed and happened before this Noah and Mio groups happen. I can only guess this because we obviously see a statue of shulk in the sword city. And melia has shulk's sword. And nia had poppi. So both xc1 and xc2 cast must have met and went through some $h!+. But now both worlds are separating back to before the merge. So basically reversing time.
you see that? and they said no need to play xenoblade 1 or 2 lol. if u jump straight to 3 then u wouldn't get hyped and excited to that rex harem reveal man.
Even though I loved the game and loved the ending to a point it made tear up, I really hope the DLC solves a lot of unanswered questions that we have left such as: who are the founders? (They will probably be the focus of the dlc) who is the seventh founder? (Prequel dlc as well),who tf is riku? (There where a lot of hints as to riku being someone really important, maybe onto? Is he Shulk's apprentice? Lucky 7 was supposedly forged by one of the founders and it looks a lot like a monado so it just reinforces the fact that shulk is one of the founders, adding that he has a statue that looks a lot like him. What is the sword of origin exactly? What happened with Noah's son? Why did Noah and mio kept coming back in different loops even after their homecoming? And I would really really like to see more lore around Z and moebius in general. They're by far the weakest part of the story, and I the dlc should develop them more and show exactly how they came out to be.
The majority of those have been answered tho The founders are the first ouroboros that created the city, the seventh founder is the one that created the ouroboros stone, the Queen of Agnus Nia Riku is the sucessor of his masterpon and Noah sword is just a present left by him that is composed of Origin fragments, there is a side quest of the seven masterpons that explains this, Lucky Seven barely resembles a monado, the abilities it unlocks are more of a reference, Noah son is just one of the many people of the original city that's why it was such a tragedy to see N murder his own descendants. I don't believe that either Z or the Moebius will be looked upon, they were already explained and we already know their origin and why they exist
@@somethingelse4282 Honestly, what i would do with Z is relating him to Zanza somehow Because It would interlink(pun intended) the games better, but not saying that HE IS ZANZA But just saying that something related to Moebius are related to Zanza's essence or anything, but honestly i don't know if that's a good idea, i just wanted this to happen because Z anza Now i would like Z appearing in the DLC as a way more menancing and dangerous enemy, maybe with they showing that not even Shulk, Rex(or their descendants) and the others were able to beat him and the only survivors were Nia and Melia Then show that scene where M dies and N finally becomes a Moebius Z's main problem is being a villain that we are told that he's dangerous, but never truly show, so this could fix my main issue with him
This game has absolutely no consequence in the greater story of the two previous games as it basicly looped back. Characters like Alvis and Pneuma do not show up or are even mentionned, and we don't see the Zohar/conduit or even see the Gnosis from Xenosaga or futur connected again. Still it's a pretty good self-contained story, I guess we will get a sequel to Xenoblade 1 & 2 in the futur ( maybe it's the DLC ? , after all it will be a standalone game like Torna ).

@@patricpelto If you want to think of it that way lol. It's no secret that Takahashi reuses & reinterprets concepts. I think Lost Jerusalem is more of a Soraya Saga one though because she liked using religious references as a way to examine how religion became the will to power for individuals

@@somethingelse4282 Nopons have basically the same life expectancy that humans have. And Tora built half Origin. The statues look like Rex and Shulk, and the descriptions match them and their swords. Nia does remember Vandham, don't know where do you get that she doesn't, there is even a mission after the end of the game where she tells the story of how they were saved by Vandham in XC2. And in the post-credits scene we see that at the end what happened when rebooting origin was that the time started moving again right where it stopped, so it's more than a thousand years prior to when the game takes place. So, if there are statues with their descriptions and all in Aionios, they must have been alive in that world, which means that they were recorded inside Origin. Anybody recorded there can be reborn perpetually in Aionios and was alive when it was activated in the original worlds.
i actually thought the whole main story wrong? i thought the origin was supposed to create a new world with the 'data' stored in the origin but the 2 worlds just split apart to their original world. I have a bittersweet and not feeling satisfied about the ending. I wonder what happened when Noah follow the flute sound?
Am i the only one who was a little disappointed by the lack of big reveals regarding how this is connected to the other games? I remember XC1 really surprised with it’s twist - then XC2 managed to surprise me again with how it’s connected to XC1. I don’t know, I was expecting crazy revelations and twists in XC3 but there were none that really caught me off guard. I like the story, it’s interesting and emotional, but I’m still let down :/
Yeah I understand. Really it's just "one day the two worlds wanted to reconnect and when melia and nia tried to reboot the worlds the emotions of time stopping in the intersect event created morbius and put time on pause for a few thousand years." Like I expected the two worlds Klaus created to be building up to something instead of a what if scenario
I think it's better this way. The reason 2's plot twist worked so well is because before 2 came out, we thought they were handling sequels like how Final Fantasy or Fire Emblem does it, where it's the same series, but the games aren't connected. We already knew that 3 was connected to 1 and 2 from the very first trailer, so it wouldn't be that big a shock.

One of the sweetest kisses in a video game so far, just to rip them apart right after, Xenoblade no matter how cruel u have been sometimes in the past, but that was a low blow x). Hope the DLC will be around getting them all back together. Even tho chance’s are not high for that to be the case T^T
But hope dies last I suppose

Oh nice, need to check it out thx for telling me:)
Yeah truth be told, I’m a huge XBC fan and the ending itself is hitting me rly hard. I might be a little bit to softy and stuff, since I prefer happy ending over a compromise bitter sweet ending. It’s just that i rly want them all to be back together again, how it is ment to be, how it should be. If the ending in XBC2 ended after u know what I mean, without what follows afterwards, it wouldn’t have made the cut for me, and it probably wouldn’t have been my favorite game of all time. So I do rly hope we getting some similar stuff.
Happy endings FTW x)

One might say… you’re all wishing for the “endless now”
From what I understand, the two worlds somehow long for each other and is about to collide into each other, if collide into each other, both worlds will be destroy and disappear. When the two worlds are starting to collide into each other, there is a certain 'light' between the two worlds. Melia and Nia use that 'light' to communicate with each other across the two worlds through that 'light'. They built a giant machine called 'origin' that can reset the timeline to the point where the two worlds never collide into each other. But when the two worlds collide and Origin is about to activate, Z (Z is a concept of Wish/Desire) took control of Origin and created a stagnant world called Aionios (meaning the two worlds' time is stopped and is in a loop to stay in the present). After Z is defeated, Origin can operate normally and the two worlds were reset to the point where the two worlds never collide/merged. In the ending credits, it means that the two worlds are separated and Noah returns to his childhood without any memories of Aionios and Mio. The time of the two worlds are not stagnant anymore. But somehow Noah heard the sound of the flute. Simply speaking, in the end, the two worlds are separated.

No detailed explanation yet but either dies in battle or of old age, because this frozen time created by z already went for almost thousand of year. By the end when the seperation happened looks like the universe reset again and the origin finally did it job to reboot the universe safely. With this both shulk and rex will be alive again but it was unknown if all of the character even remember the battle in XB3 universe. Except for noah who likely remember about mio.
@@timothyliong3772 i get that, but I question the "legitimacy" of those statues. As the Origin is destroyed, the world of the endless now ceases to exist. Which forms the base off which the worlds can un-collide, with their flow of time once again... flowing.
It seems to me that Nia and Poppi are in a different world altogether, a world Rex does not take actual place in.
This is only my perception of things, but... Statues may resemble Rex, but it does not have to *be* Rex. The mechonis sword is next to the Urayan Titan, yet mechonis itself is not there either. That's what I mean with aionios being a world created based on the contents of the colliding worlds.
@@skyliegirl3329 I actually dont. Or the ending hits that an alternate reality became true already wherein a merge actually took place succesfully. But, nothing truly indicates the entirety of Alrest merged with the entirety of the bionis/mechonis world.

Shulk and Fiora did pair up, but as for having kids, it's still unclear. Since High Entia can live for centuries given their ridiculous long lifespan and Queen Melia having Shulk's Monado REX mounted as a memento, it's implied that Shulk may have died of old age, along with Fiora, Reyn, Sharla, Dunban, and probably Riki too depending on a Nopon's lifespan.

i just wanted to see pyra and mythra with rex but didn't expect children
I’m so confused why did Nia say “see you again to Rex I’m assuming it’s been 100+ years”? Is the world merging only a portion and only Nia was caught in it and the rest of the Xeno 2 crews in the original world.
I think she means that her death is about to come
Poor Poppi then...
She's been in Aionios for hundreds of years, but remember the world's time is frozen, so for Rex and Shulk and everyone else no time has passed.

The majority of those have been answered tho
The founders are the first ouroboros that created the city, the seventh founder is the one that created the ouroboros stone, the Queen of Agnus Nia
Riku is the sucessor of his masterpon and Noah sword is just a present left by him that is composed of Origin fragments, there is a side quest of the seven masterpons that explains this, Lucky Seven barely resembles a monado, the abilities it unlocks are more of a reference, Noah son is just one of the many people of the original city that's why it was such a tragedy to see N murder his own descendants.
I don't believe that either Z or the Moebius will be looked upon, they were already explained and we already know their origin and why they exist
@@somethingelse4282 Honestly, what i would do with Z is relating him to Zanza somehow
Because It would interlink(pun intended) the games better, but not saying that HE IS ZANZA
But just saying that something related to Moebius are related to Zanza's essence or anything, but honestly i don't know if that's a good idea, i just wanted this to happen because Z anza
Now i would like Z appearing in the DLC as a way more menancing and dangerous enemy, maybe with they showing that not even Shulk, Rex(or their descendants) and the others were able to beat him and the only survivors were Nia and Melia
Then show that scene where M dies and N finally becomes a Moebius
Z's main problem is being a villain that we are told that he's dangerous, but never truly show, so this could fix my main issue with him
Wait, is Mio Nia’s child from the photo grown up?
This game has absolutely no consequence in the greater story of the two previous games as it basicly looped back.
Characters like Alvis and Pneuma do not show up or are even mentionned, and we don't see the Zohar/conduit or even see the Gnosis from Xenosaga or futur connected again.

I don’t know, I was expecting crazy revelations and twists in XC3 but there were none that really caught me off guard.
I like the story, it’s interesting and emotional, but I’m still let down :/
Yeah I understand. Really it's just "one day the two worlds wanted to reconnect and when melia and nia tried to reboot the worlds the emotions of time stopping in the intersect event created morbius and put time on pause for a few thousand years."
Like I expected the two worlds Klaus created to be building up to something instead of a what if scenario
