This is one of the best recipe. Just follow all the step he said. I cooked in oven. Marinated in Salt water - then dahi masala mixture. Exactly the timing that he said. And the chicken turned out to be one of the best tandoori chicken exactly the ones that you will pay for in a 5 -7 star hotel. It was tender, well cooked, masala sipped all the way in the chicken and it was delicious. Thank you chef for sharing the recipe in such a detailed way

It's still a firm favourite now, never met anyone who doesn't absolutely adore tandoori chicken. I can crank my domestic oven up to nearly 300°C, which does a reasonable impersonation of a tandoor.

I made it using gas tandoor with smaller pieces but believe me it came out perfect as restaurant style. That too using homemade spices. Thank you very much chef for such wonderful recipe which everyone enjoyed in this lockdowm!

Wish he had shown the actual grilling process. That's the hard part. Not allowing the chicken to dry out and how often he was basting it would have been nice.

Hard to overstate how ridiculously good this recipe is. Didn't have any kashmiri chilli powder, so used a nice tandoori masala instead. Also roasted some baby new potatoes at the same time, placed in the roasting tray under the chicken so juices drip on them, parboiled first for 10 mins and rubbed in a bit of tandoori masala also.
I really liked this guy. He had a very clear ability to put across what to do. I am going to be doing this exact same method tomorrow. Thank you Mr Vanchef
