So, I tried to create a thumbnail in CANVA and when I try to upload that thumbnail into RUclips, it says the file is too big. I use Wondershare Filmora to do my editing. I read that I can create custom thumbnails/templates in WSF, but I haven't tried yet... My vids are published, so far, without a thumbnail.
Here's RUclips's size guidelines: Your custom thumbnail image should be as large as possible. It will be used as the preview image in the embedded player. We recommend your custom thumbnails: Have a resolution of 1280x720 (with minimum width of 640 pixels). Be uploaded in image formats such as JPG, GIF, or PNG. Remain under 2MB for videos or 10MB for podcasts. Try to use a 16:9 aspect ratio as it's the most used in RUclips players and previews. For podcasts, upload a thumbnail with an aspect ratio of 1:1 instead of 16:9 (1280 x 1280 pixels).

Thank you so much! Super helpful
Do i need an editing software or can I just use Rverside for editing? Why do I need an external editing software?
You still need editing software to add graphics, logos, title cards, credits, etc. Looks like.
You can completely edit on Riverside now! Check out our new editor walkthrough: ruclips.net/video/cEWJapLwqGI/видео.html

No, not a requisition. However, the better your equipment, the higher the quality will be :)
