- Welcome back to another video, this time me and Zak venture out to find some Tope! We've not done much Tope Fishing or Shark Fishing so this was a really good session. My favourite type of fishing is lure fishing for bass off the inflatable boats (sibs), they are perfect. They are super quick to set up, they are fast, and can go in such shallow water, it's amazing! Inflatable boat fishing is becoming more and more popular as people realise you do not need an expensive boat to reach the marks out at sea. You can buy a setup for around £2000-£3500 and this will do you fine.
I love going beach fishing, shore fishing but nothing beats boat fishing on these inflatable boats. You can find the fish a lot easier, they are fast and most importantly much more fun!

Brilliant lads, with circle hooks you got to let the bite develop, let the fish swallow then lift i to the fish, not strike.

The beach is pretty short so we just launched of there 👍
let the fish run develope pick up the rod and count to 7 to give the fish time to turn the bait and get the hook point in its mouth. Plus try an ordinary O'Shaunessy style hook in size 10/0, I found I missed less fish than with the circle hooks. They are OK for large cod etc but really not so much on shark,tope spur dog etc

You fish for tope over sand or reef? Drift or anchor? Going to target some soon of south Devon.
Broken ground works well for me, or the edge of the reefs.
