It's truly incredible how every part on this thing is the highest quality. Finally pulled the trigger last night.
Went back and bought it - absolutely LOVE this thing. Feels great, sounds incredible - and it's amazingly light. Can't wait to record with it.
I bought one back in August and was blown away, it's my main writing guitar now
@@beautague9163 quality control has gone up drastically in the past ten years, its only 1200 CAD too. I remember the late 90 early 2000 ibanez i was ordering on ebay used, they were terrible i had like 3 of them.
@@Impaled_Onion-thatsmine you can get great deals on these right now! I need more of the different colors and styles I love it so much
@@Impaled_Onion-thatsmine can't go wrong with suhr!
Just ordered this model strictly because of this video. Thanks man. 🤘
This was a sweet demo. Thank you!
Played one of these yesterday and want one now. Great review, I was already sold on this and now I'm even more so.
Thank you for the review! I just ordered the 6 string red one!🤘
Bruh! How do only have 49 subscribers?? You keep getting the sickest guitars! You're my great new find, lately! You're the one to watch, I reckon, you'll be a player in the worldwide guitar community in years to come, if you keep it up.
@@OliRoyer Awesome you da Man! Although...I think you already did the axe I've got my eye on (Gibson SG Spesh...tho, you might have done the Epi, by memory, did you..? A vs between the two would be valuable , tho..to me at least, anyway...)
Honestly, that's a fantastic resource (the guitar shop job) and the fact that you are not pimping out your demos to guitar Co's or stores I reckon will become your greatest strength. I for one am sick of it! You can't trust anyone's demo online because they are all sponsored!
I'm not saying you shouldn't get paid. I just think you'll get paid more in the long run by not selling out for little sponsored video deals. But most importantly, you'll retain credibility in the eyes of your viewers.
But hey, I don't really know the inner workings of Utuber life!
P.S. It must be both great and torture working in a guitar store!! The G.A.S. must be intense haha! I can totally see how that cardinal red firebird just owned you on sight - lol! It woulda had me too, bro! (In fact, I've been eyeing that one off in pictures for a year or two...the red is just.. something else..)
I just did an unboxing video on the FR7 the other day. Playing it this last week, it’s “the one”. And the baked finishes... 🤯. I’m not a super fan of the regular fluence line, whereas I’ve always preferred passives for the bite and dynamics, the but the open core definitely have a unique voice that sits somewhere in between. Definitely changed my mind about fluence pickups. I love that they used the original USA Floyd rose on it too. Can’t really do these guitars justice unless you actually see/hold one in person.
Nice video! I hope you´ll get more attention over time.
Nice! You just sold me on this. Its time for another 7 as well as a new brand.
Great video! I just picked up the Floyd Rose version in green after being so impressed with it at the store, it feels fantastic to play. I'm still trying to warm up to these Fishman pickups. They're not bad at all; the low-B string notes are well defined and not muddy, but the tone seems a little fuzzy/muffled. I'm hoping I can get a crisper sound out of the speaker, or I may swap out the pickups otherwise.
Excellent , very pro, no bla bla ba Bs your fantastic 👍👍
i went to a guitar center to buy new strings, i saw that they had the red six string version and decided to try it, i seem to find or receive a pick so i just slap style played it on clean tones. it sounded amazing, i switched to distortion and it didn't sound muddy at all, which i have constantly heard fishman humbuckers on metal guitars in tends to sound thick and kind of bad, happily not with this instrument
Sounds awesome Oli! Who knows, you may convert me in to a Jackson fanboy.

Anything with Fishman Fluence is good for me ;)
I just downloaded the plugin you used, but I have to use a buffer size of 960 (20ms). I'm wondering if its due to my Line6 GX being old? :( Plugins sound mean though!
Thank you for making this video. I have been reading up on this guitar and I get the impression that the push/pull has no effect on positions 2, 3, and 4. I couldn't seem to hear a difference in those positions on your demo. I like your playing, but it might have been nice to hear some more clean riffs. This video was very informative and I hope your channel audience grows.
Awesome demo. Such a cool guitar. I'm in the market for a 7 string and torn between this and the new Alex Wade ltd. If you could get the AW-7 on the channel that would be killer.
As others have said you need more subscribers, quality content.
@@OliRoyer I ended up going with the schecter km7. So none of the above haha. The green colour of the km7 just called to me! And the 26.5 scale is a great selling point as you mentioned
liked the vid. clean sounds great but one gripe. try to keep the gain on the amp at 5 for the demos with the fluence cuz like te cleans, itll be easier to hear the amp get distorted
Can u tell me man in lower tuning like G♯ or A.... hoss the sound isnt muddy? Is it clear and have it definition and articulate? Cause i am playing lots of chords in those tunings so i dont wanna sound like a bunch of notes without defition... Thx man.. and it has nickle frets or SS frets?
and one last thing, i am riff guy .... i dont play so much leads ... so whats in ur eyes the best position for rhytm guitar? Coil tap up - that means Voice B? - and full bridge pick up? What position would u recommended for rhytm ?
I'm loving the sand blasted trend this year.
Going with the Fishman classics over Moderns still seems a bit odd to me
The pickups sound great! Everything from death metal to classical. I do not think they are the traditional classics. They are open core and versatile.
I'm torn between this one and the FR 7-string model, DECISIONS!
I just wish they made this in white (without the Floyd). I have the blue and it’s amazing.
Why dont you want floyd rose?
@@alucardlord9032 my setups always usually take me an hour anyways - a Floyd would probably double that time haha
@@Impaled_Onion-thatsmine I take all the strings off so that I can polish and clean the fretboard as well as to truss adjustments (when needed) with a straightedge. My guitar gets gunked up pretty quick due to my chemical make-up and I like to have that “new” guitar feel after every re-string.
My old Floyd I used a block and that pretty much made it similar to a normal string change but a little different.
They went all modern and didn’t put on stainless steel frets. I think that’s a missed opportunity on their part
I agree. Actually, they just don’t give that on any of their models except the USA Series Misha Mansoor Juggernauts, which is a bummer. I’m deciding between this and the Schecter C-7 SLS Elite, and, because of the 5 way pickup selector switch here, I would prefer this one, but the lack of stainless steel puts me a bit off. Why Jackson, just that and the guitar would be perfect! :(
tune it first
You cant switch out pickups your stuck with fishmen 👎
Yes...you can change pickups.
