What is the 'Unification Church' & how is it related to ex-Japanese PM Shinzo Abe's assassination?

  • The man who shot and killed Shinzo Abe last week, believed the former Japanese PM promoted a religious institution that defrauded his mother. On Tuesday, the 'Unification Church' confirmed that the killer's mother was a member and has tried to distance itself from the shooting. In ThePrint #World360, Pia Krishnankutty explains how the 'Unification Church' was formed and how it has roots in South Korea.

One important thing that this video did not cover is, Unification Church in Japan is very different from the rest of the world. They are much more demanding of donations and many people goes bankrupt which has been a serious issue for many decades. Any politicians to be involved in such cult is a big problem.

You’re taking the focus off the criminal and your victim blaming. I’ve worked in counter cult ministry and most cults have similar tends, they manipulate, coerce people into giving, fallow their own set of beliefs, and demand undivided loyalty to the leader. The unification church is one of a laundry list of groups that have such unreasonable demands. There are cults that manipulate people into moving into a compound then brainwash them into selling everything they own to give to “the church”. So while I do not excuse the unification churches pressure campaigns to give, its not unique to Japan. It’s also not Aba’s responsibility to stop someone from making poor life decisions.
Regarding donations. I dare you to find a politician who by the end of their career did not have any questionable donors. I can think of multiple instances where people lost their life savings investing in a company committing fraud while donating to politician the victim may have voted for. Accepting donations from a donor you believed was legitimate is not a crime. The victim blaming must end, people have to take responsibility for their own mistakes. Being take advantage of financially does not give you the right to kill! It’s disturbing to me that so little attention is being focused on the suspected of murder. There are a lot of questions which aren’t being asked about murderer. Like, how did he make a home made gun that was pinpoint accuracy without the benefit shooting it at a gun range? What did he do leading up to the crime? What associations did he have? It’s almost as if the media is looking for another reason to attack conservatives and religion!

Many Japanese acknowledge that it is true that Shinzo Abe had a relationship with the Unification Church. The relationship went beyond simply sending congratulatory messages; he also had the young politicians he led form a cooperative relationship with the Unification Church. Abe's partner in international politics, Donald Trump, also sent out video messages at Unification Church events. Messages from world-famous politicians are used for the missionary work of the denomination. The 'Church of the Gun', an offshoot of the Unification Church, was active in Pennsylvania and supported Trump. They also participated in the 2021 attack on the United States Capitol.

Unit 731 (Japanese: 731部隊, Hepburn: Nana-san-ichi Butai),[note 1] short for Manshu Detachment 731 and also known as the Kamo Detachment[3]: 198  and Ishii Unit,[5] was a covert biological and chemical warfare research and development unit of the Imperial Japanese Army that engaged in lethal human experimentation and biological weapons manufacturing during the Second Sino-Japanese War (1937-1945) and World War II. Unit 731 was based in the Pingfang district of Harbin, the largest city in the Japanese puppet state of Manchukuo (now Northeast China), and had active branch offices throughout China and Southeast Asia. It was responsible for some of the most notorious war crimes committed by the Japanese armed forces. Unit 731 routinely conducted tests on human beings who were dehumanized and internally referred to as "logs". Experiments included disease injections, controlled dehydration, hypobaric chamber experiments, biological weapons testing, vivisection, amputation, and weapons testing. Victims included babies, children, and pregnant mothers. Victims were from different nationalities, but the majority of them were Chinese. Additionally, Unit 731 produced biological weapons that were used in areas of China not occupied by Japanese forces, which included Chinese cities and towns, water sources, and fields. Estimates of those killed by Unit 731 and its related programs range up to half a million people.

True Father Sun Myung Moon the Founder of Unification Church and we accepted Him as the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ the Messiah. True Mother Hak Ja Han Moon the Co-Founder The Only Begotten Daughter together We call Them Our True Parents. (The person that love Jesus Christ most is True Father Reverend Sun Myung Moon)
"In 1984 Rev. Sun Myung Moon brought together 40 religious scholars, instructing them to compare the teachings that appear in the Sacred texts of Christianity, Islam, Buddhism and other major world religions. The book that resulted from their efforts was World Scripture: A comparative Anthology of Sacred Texts, published in 1991. What they found was that the Sacred Texts of Religions convey the same or similar teachings More Than 70 percent of the time.
The remaining 30 percent are teachings that represent unique points of religion. This means that most of the teachings of the major world religions are the same at their core. On the other surface, some believers wear turbans, some wear prayer beads around their necks, other carry the cross, but they all seek the fundamental truths of the Universe and try to understand the Will of the Creator.
People often become friends even if all they have in common is the same particular hobby. When two strangers meet and discover they have the same hometown, they can immediately communicate as if they had known each other for decades. So, it is truly tragic that Religions, which share the same teachings more than 70 percent of the time, still struggle to understand each other and communicate happily. They could talk about the things they have in common and take each other by the hand. Instead, they emphasized their differences and criticized one another. All Religions in the World talk about Peace and Love. Yet they fight each other over peace and love...
I first set foot in Jerusalem in 1965. This was before the Six Day War, and Jerusalem was still under Jordan's territorial control. I went to the Mount of Olives, where Jesus shed tears of blood in prayer just prior to being taken to being taken to the court of Pontius Pilate. I put my hand on a 2,000- year-old olive tree that could have witnessed Jesus' prayer that night. I put three nails in that tree, one for Judaism, one for Christianity and one for Islam. I prayed for the day when these three Families of Faith would become one. World peace cannot come unless Judaism, Christianity and Islam become one. Those three nails are still there."

How is killing the former Prime Minister going to get the killer’s mother’s money back🤔🤔. The killer had all those years in between to go get a job and make some more money🤔🤔. Was he planning on just living off of the money that was left from his father’s death🤔🤔. Revenge doesn’t solve his problem, it just gave him another one…life in prison and/or death🤯🤯

    • @hanak2947

He didn’t want his mother’s money back. He wanted all the crazy cult sh*t to stop. It was not about money but more about dignity I think. The cult ruined his family and his whole life. „the killer had all those years in between to go“ you say, those years he was working his ass off, actually. But sad reality is that was just not enough, some people suffer in poverty even though they do work. There is a problem of ‚working poor‘ in this capitalist society. His family was financially suffering since his mother was giving all their money to that cult, moreover, his older brother had a severe illness and needed money for medical treatment. He even planned a suicide so that his brother and sister can get his death payout…
At the end of the day, he didn’t actually committed suicide, but his brother did, that tells how much the family was suffering. For your information his father also took his life when he was little because the mother was crazily into another cult at that time and the father couldn’t deal with her crazy behavior neglecting kids -so that the father had to do everything whilst working- and mentally exhausted.
It was hard for him to get a regular job that pays enough for him to lead a decent life since he didn’t have university/college degree. He had to abandon his study in university because of financial problem his mother brought to his family.
I think he had already given up on living a normal decent life, but he wanted the society to know the reality of crazy cult group, how harmful they are, and how powerful they were because they teamed up with the ruling party in Japan. He said he couldn’t even get close to the cult leader so it was impossible to kill him, he then changed his target to the ex prime minister since he knew how much killing this person would be influential and therefore can bring the society to find out about the crazy cult along with its relationship with the government. I think if he killed the cult leader, the truth of the incident would have been buried by great power -cult and government- and he would be just killed secretly. This is how big and powerful the cult with governmental support is.

How can we stop a person from creating a cult and people voluntarily joing it? There is something called the freedom of religion/belief. Freedom does not alway end up in an ethical way, but everyone has it.

How can this be Korea's fault? What are you talking about? If a cult is born in Rome and spreads throughout the world, will everything that happens in the future be the fault of Italy? This situation is the fault of the corrupt Japanese politicians alone. Because if you "donate" money to private groups to receive votes, this is corruption. Politics shouldn't meddle with religion. A modern country must be completely secular as expressed in many democratic constitutions

Jesus has completed His task completely on earth and He also says "It is finished" before his last breadth on cross. Which means He accomplished what God had sent Him for. There was no need for a person to complete the work of Jesus. Do not believe in the self made dogmas of people, try to know the truth, the Bible is full of truth.
