I personally took lessons from Jerry Callett and also thru weird circumstances, met Bahb Civiletti. There definitely is something to it! Before lessons withJC, I could barely hit an open space E at just below the top of treble clef staff. I think the hard part is setting up the same way every time, and also, the tongue and the pressure it can give, and it's great flexibility, means, THAT YOU MUST BE VERY SECURE IN YOUR TONGUE PLACEMENT, AS WELL AS THE FORCE YOU WILL USE TO "place" certain notes. IT ain't easy, but it certainly changed my life! Fortunately flute/sax/keys are greater strengths than Trumpet, but it has always been a goal to be fluent on trumpet in a passable way. Hit me up, trumpet thoughts, as they say. I can provide copies of the "head sliced in half" sheets JC gave me in the early 2000's.

Are you going to make a video about this technique? It would be interesting

I feel you should back off the air on the high notes. Use a more "singing with your voice" air on those notes.
