      @@Curatedcom just came in today! Absolutely beautiful ski! having a hard time deciding bindings. I’m stuck between Tyrolia attack 13 and Marker Griffon 13. any suggestions?

    • @froznfire9531
      @froznfire9531 3 года назад +2

      @@Screecherine I´ve had both of them and they perform very similar, I´d choose the one which is cheaper and/or looks better to you. The Griffon has more boot options form what I´ve seen so it matches to more touring boots for example. But if thats not sth you need, take the cheaper/better looking one

      What's up Brandon, Curated ski expert Charlotte here! Both are sweet binding options that accept most soles of boots (go with Griffons if you have AT boots). I would say the main difference between the two is the technology in the toe and heel pieces- both are quality, but some people say the Griffons offer a little more control when heading down the mountain. To be honest, you can't really go wrong with either, but the Griffons are generally considered the "superior" binding. Part of the decision does consider your weight and forward pressure, so I can help you dive a little deeper into this. Shoot me a message at (415) 854-6393 to get connected with me on Curated.com and we can chat specifics for you!

    Been riding the 2020 model which is similar and gotta say, very nice skis. I´m 1.80m and got the 184s, other than expected they can carve very well for the width, they can easily go 50mph, ofc those are no racing skis and are more for freestyle/park but they work very solid on groomers which was a surprise to me and they are now my daily driver. I even did ski touring on them (around 1000 vertical meters) and they held up very well, although they are on the heavier side(which comes in handy when going downhill afterwards :)
    I can recommend them to many skiers who are looking at about this width of a ski and want something versitile

    How long did you test the ski i got the 2021 model and wanna buy the new ones because the other one delaminated after about 30 skidays do u think they got more resistant?

    Is there any difference between the 2021/22 and the 2020/2021? (besides the graphics ofc) thanks!

      From what I´ve heard they are similar in construction, you can take the 2020 model and safe some cash while having (imo) a better looking ski (depends on what colors you prefer :))

    Hi! I'm 168 cm tall and weighs about 66 kg. How would these skis suit me. I ski mostly directional and ski all mountain (mostly off piste, trees, bumps, some pow, soft terrain, and a little on piste). I've also looked at some smaller waist skis, like bent chetler mini, and line honey badger (both around 90mm). Which skis do you think would suit me best?

    • @Curatedcom
      @Curatedcom  2 года назад

      Hi Simon, Curated ski expert Charlotte here! The waist width of your ski will really depend on where you like skiing the most. If you aren't doing a ton of carving on hardpack (think East Coast), then you are safe to go wider to the 102mm without sacrificing edge hold. I'd love to talk more and really narrow down the waist width and ski profile/specs that would be right for you! Send me a message at www.curated.com/experts/charlotte.h if you'd like to chat and grab the perfect pair of skis for you!

    I want to by the reckoners 102 but I dont kniw where i should mount my binding. I'd use them as an all mountain park ski as well as in powder. I thought about -1/-2 from center, what would you reccomend?

    • @Curatedcom
      @Curatedcom  2 года назад

      Hey Luis, Curated ski expert Charlotte here! The Reckoners 102 will be such a fun park and all-mountain ski for you! They come marked with a "team" and a "midsole" line- the team line is -2.1 cm from true center while the midsole line is -4.2 cm from true center, and you could additionally mount one cm back from this midsole line. The farther back you go, the more you'll be able to drive the tips of the skis, so that could be the way to go with a crossover all-mountain, park ski. If you have any more questions, shoot me a message at www.curated.com/experts/charlotte.h and I can help ya out! Cheers!

    How good do you think these would be for someone who's 6'5" and 220lbs? Would they be too soft? Not looking to charge but want to make sure they're stiff enough to land jumps and do tight trees out West.

    • @Curatedcom
      @Curatedcom  2 года назад

      Hey there, Curated ski expert Charlotte here! The Reckoners have softer tips and tails, with a slightly stiffer underfoot. They really aren't a stiff ski, though, so I would recommend a stiffer option for you since you can put so much power into your skis naturally. If you are liking K2's lineup for this winter, I have some killer options that will feel a lot more stable underfoot for you. I'd love to send you a Curation and find the perfect setup for you! Shoot me a message at www.curated.com/experts/charlotte.h and we can grab the right fit for you! Cheers!

    Would these work as a daily driver in New England, due to more ice, but I would also be taking them off piste, into trees, moguls, and deep snow when conditions allow?

    • @Curatedcom
      @Curatedcom  2 года назад

      Hi, Curated ski expert Charlotte here! Given the width of the Reckoner 102, I would say that they will fit in the East Coast all-mountain ski category, but are definitely on the wider side of things. With width, you lose some edge-to-edge control and bite into icier hardpack. With that said, they will be a blast all over the mountain and feel super versatile in tighter spots like bumps or trees. Plus, you'll be glad to have the width on deeper days! Shoot me a message at www.curated.com/experts/charlotte.h if you want to chat more and suss out the perfect ski for you!

    Would you recommend putting the bindings on the true center?

    • @Curatedcom
      @Curatedcom  3 года назад +1

      Hey there, Curated ski expert Charlotte here! The Reckoner has a recommended mount point pretty close to the center of the ski. They give a “Midsole” mark (about 4cm back from true center) and a “Team” mark (up 2cm from Midsole, so even closer to center). I would say the mount point depends on how you initiate turns and your weight distribution when heading downhill, but overall they are mounted much more centered than most other directional skis. If you want to dive deeper, shoot me a message at (650) 284-3325 to get connected with me on Curated.com. Cheers!

    These compared to the sir Francis bacons?

    • @Curatedcom
      @Curatedcom  2 года назад

      Hey Garett, Curated ski expert Charlotte here! The SFB's are 107mm underfoot, so definitely within the powder width range, compared to the 102mm Reckoner waist (which is more of an all-mountain ski). The SFBs will feel more surfy for deeeep days, and much lighter underfoot. They're a bit more "noodley" than the Reckoners, so hard chargers would prefer the latter of the two.
