- The Alicante Tram (Tram Metropolitano de Alicante/Tram D´Alacant) is one of the cheapest and best forms of transport to discover this beautiful City and coastline. Why not use this service to connect to you and your friends to two golf courses, the golden beaches of San Juan or into the city centre for some authentic Spanish hospitality.
In this video I take my dad for a day trip to the famous Costa Blanca town of Benidorm, stopping off at the stunning beach town of El Campello for an aperetif en route!
L9 of Tram from Benidorm goes further up the coast connecting to the towns of Altea, Calpe and Denia; it truly is a great service and I hope this video helps some of you take the jump to experience The Alicante Tram.

The network comprises the following lines departing from the City Centre Station terminus of LUCEROS
- L1 Luceros to Benidorm. In Benidorm you can connect with line L9 to Dénia.
- L2 Luceros to the University and San Vicente del Raspeig
- L3 Luceros to El Campello
- L4 Luceros to Playa de San Juan and Plaza de la Coruña
- L9 (diesel train) Benidorm to Dénia, stopping at important tourist towns like Altea and Calpe.

Simple answer is no. The single ticket is valid for your journey, station to station. The difference is a return ticket, where it's valid for the outward and return journey, within the same day.
excellent information. So is it possible to get off along the way and then continue traveling with the same ticket? How long is a ticket valid?

It is only possible to alight the tram and board again with the same ticket at stations that don´t have a control barrier. Ticket is valid for day of purchase unless specified.

The regulations say you are supposed to complete your journey within 90 minutes, leaving and rejoining the tram constitutes a separate journey.
