    I get my hands on arguably the world's hottest golf driver shaft to test to see why many of the world's best pga tour players like Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Cameron Smith plus many more are using it. These Fujikura Vents VeloCore driver shafts can transform the golf club resulting in hitting more fairways and longer tee shots. I test Ventus Red Ventus Blue & Ventus Black, are they the worlds best golf driver shaft? The ventus shafts you'll see in many top golf brands like taylormade, Titleist, callaway, ping, Mizuno, cobra, Wilson, Srixon, pxg.

    Great video! Eventually settled on the Ventus Black after an initial go with the Blue. I researched the profile of these shafts and felt they matched my needs. I have had great success with the Black! Even for a senior golfer. But I'm now waiting for a Honma Vizard MP-6 which feels like a mix between the Red and the Black. Yes, this has all been expensive ha! But my driving stats have improved immensely.

    I go with penley shafts. They don’t come out with a new shaft every year but they are super solid feeling. USA made to high tolerance standards so you get the same feeling when it’s time for a new one. Not as expensive as these so they are super worth it to get the same feeling from head to head if I buy a new head. Still rocking an old rogue driver/3 wood.

    You should do a video of your top three most forgiving drivers, and use the ball impact imaging to hit some very off center shots, your "off center" shots are still nearly dead center, you should show how the drivers react when you hit it actually outside the center zone - this would be really interesting to see. Also, the terms "forgiving" and "driver" = views

    I’ve hit all except the red in fittings and also tried out the new blue TR velocore which is designed to sit between blue and black.. ended up landing on the blue TR w/ VC in driver and standard blue w/ VC in 3wood.. the TR has been fantastic for me in driver, I’m 50/50 on whether the standard blue w VC is better than my long term graphite design DI go to in my fw’s.. on the Q about stock vs premium, the improvement feel and consistency of delivery in the premium offerings is clear when you really put them side by side and that proves out time and again so I favor premium.. on the Q about fitting I think it’s completely worth it for the input of the fitter and ability to try different variations of shafts, that said I’m not a fan of buying in a vacuum ie picking a 350 shaft in one session - or - without working out how it will game in the bag with your other clubs.. fitting is worth every penny but you don’t have to buy the first time you hit something and think you like it, sometimes it helps to try it two or three times bc the right shaft can go in the bag for years look at the pros the club generations change but they tend to settle on a shaft approach and stick with it for years

    TSR2 with Ventus Black S Velecore. Easy swings are 265-275. I can step on with with a faster turn and the shaft pulls the clubhead back. I call it autocorrect. Great shaft. Best of the best type. Like the Tour AD orange/white.

    I used to have the TaylorMade M4 in 2018 during its initial release with the stock shaft. I’ve noticed then that I would overcut it. Now I have the same driver in the same loft but with a Tour AD BB shaft, still cutting but the dispersion was tighter.

    Bought the 6X TR Blue and have to say I was a bit twitchy having bought it without testing, simply because no one locally has it.. Extremely impressed to say the least. @mikeshevlin Hiya..! SP averages 103-104 mph.. Borderline Stiff/X stiff.. Love the TR Velacore, though, and can't really explain why.. Key point, though, is that the Shaft is the engine regardless of head brand.. I'll remain with 6X velacore for the next year or so because it's so honest.. Dispersion is great, no high ballooning fades of low lefts, the shaft just doesn't twist at impact..Clever stuff..! Truly hope that helps, and I'd recommend for you the 6S Blue..

    • @lkae4
      @lkae4 2 года назад

      @@thisjustanother Not at all. My club head speed is just a little above average, 95 to 102, according to my portable launch monitor. The Black is not too stiff. Gives me a lot of confidence because it eliminates the pull hook.
      I would say, start with Velocore or Hzrdus or 1K black because they seem to be the most stable shafts and don't stop trying new head/shaft/grip/swing combinations until you can pure 3 or 4 drives a round. Even if it takes 14 months like me.

    • @MichaelM-to4sg
      @MichaelM-to4sg 2 года назад

      @@lkae4 I would certainly not place the Tensei 1k Black anywhere near that class. I found the 1K Black very high launch, moderately low spin demoed in TSR3. I have minimal experience w/HZRDS lineup, I had a Smoke Blue RDX in my TSi3 3-wood. Junked it pretty quick due to its high launch and spinny behavior.
      My clubhead speed is 110-112 on course, smooth tempo.
      I’ve found the Ventus Velocore a bit wooden feeling, especially the Black. I suspect it’s designed for a high lag type swing common to many young tour players. My favorite by far is the Blue TR. Still not the best feel but it’s solid and tip stable. I would add I prefer 50gram driver shaft, 60 gram 3-wood. I was far more consistent with Blue TR is the 6X than the 5X. On other hand my gamer is the Speeder NX 50X while my 2nd favorite, a very close 2nd at that, is the Diamana PD 50X. I also really like the Diamana GT 50X but it’s launch was a bit lower (11.6*) and higher spin than NX and PD.
      I don’t believe swing speed is a major contributor to shaft choice or even flex. Tempo and launch conditions, based on how you deliver the head at impact, will define your best choice. Get to a quality fitter and they will analyse these factors to get you properly fitted.
      I would add while I was not as impressed with Ventus lineup in woods, I play the Ventus Blue HB 9X in my Srixon U85 driving iron. It’s a fairway finder that allows me to shape whatever shot I need. Not sure why the HB feels so much better than the wood shafts but that’s my experience.

    Missed the TR. It's a blend between blue and black. I tried both in 6x tipped 1/2" in my G425 Max. Black won out clearly for me. TR felt good but dispersion wasn't as good.
