Hi, Thanks for your generous efforts. The program I am headhunting is at McGill and is of 1 year in total. What process should I follow so that I can receive PR. How many years of Work permit can I get after 1 year program. And If I get only 1 year, then what should I do to get PR. And, If I apply for PR after 1 year of job in canada then is there any other way to stay in Canada for the interim? Please answer. Thanks in advance.
You will likely be granted a 1 year work permit after graduation. If you get a job in a skilled occupation, you can apply for PR through CEC at the end of that year (and apply for a bridging work permit at the time).
Hi! I’m planning studying in Canada whether literature, journalism or media studies. Do you know which are the best universities in those fields? Thank you in advance.
They likely won't be the same place. Carleton used to be the place for journalism but I'm not sure that's true any more. You should look for some student forums and see what current, prospective and past students think.
which one would be best for design? Digital design and graphics? I'm an international student who is very interested in pursuing studies in Canada, pls help!
@@immigroup Thanks for the reply.I have a bachelor's degree in Commerce . Can you mention some good universities that accept 15 years of education(12 + Three years of college).
If you have a degree in commerce, and you're trying to get into an MBA or something related to commerce at the master's level, what matters is the school's reputation, I think, and not so much the length of the degree (though I could be wrong about that).
It would be little different depending upon their studies, whether it is undergraduates or postgraduates. there are a lot of good universities in the maritime region as well... they are small, but have tradition and history..
It used to be the best school in the country for it. It's slightly less well-regarded now: www.immigroup.com/news/top-10-computer-science-programs-canada
hey, thanks for the video. so i got really good grades when i graduated and i became the top student of my school. and i was wondering which university would be the best for an international to study biology?
and yeah uhm i don't really have much confidence in me so it would be better if ur recommendations don't include very competitive universities cause lol i don't think i could do that anyways thank you
Ilayda Tarhan All depends on what you want to do with your science degree. Most bachelors in biology don’t lead to any jobs it leads to more schooling.
Ilayda Tarhan you will likely need a PhD to do longterm research. Microbiology and genetics are pretty competitive fields so I think competition will be inevitable. The best universities will certainly be the most competitive. They also will be the largest universities. Not sure which universities offer the courses you are looking at. There are probably only 20-30 of them so look them up. Places like U of T, UBC, McGill are probably the top programs.
This is a third party site, and I can't speak to its accuracy, but it has a list: www.bachelorsportal.com/study-options/269352988/environmental-engineering-canada.html

Thanks in advance!
@@benuworld First you need to find schools which offer post docs in your field. You'll have to look for them, I don't know of any list myself. Once you have been accepted at one or more schools, you can apply for a study permit (or a work permit, not sure for a post doc).
You have Quebec wrong. The average tuition of $2,979 is for Quebec residents and Qubec-born Canadians. The cost for out-of-province students rivals that of Ontario. However, after two years of study, an out-of-province student is considered a Quebec resident and is given the in-province rate. I live in Ontario but was born in Quebec so I immediately qualified for the in-province rate (Not that I cared because I had a full scholarship..heheheh). If I wasn't born there, I would have paid about the same as an Ontario university (minus the scholarship). Wow, McGill really fell. When I was in university, it was ranked 20th in the world with Queen's and the University of Toronto in second and third place in Canada. UBC was ranked 5th at the time but I can't remember who was 4th. It might have been McMaster. It sure looks like Memorial University in St. John's, Newfoundland is the best value by far for international students. NOTE: Montreal's Just For Laughs festival is the largest international comedy festival ON EARTH, not just in Canada. Montreal also has the world's largest Jazz Festival and Fireworks Festival.
Things must have changed since I went to school in Quebec, because I never got any discount on my tuition for being a Quebec resident, though I did go home every summer. This ranking is entirely subjective and is geared towards international students. I think McGill is still ranked very highly worldwide.
Three of my four parents worked in the medial field (though none are doctors and only one was is a nurse). They all thought McMaster did the best job with training doctors however they have all been retired for years and things may have changed. (For one thing, it seems McMaster's innovations in training doctors to treat patients well have spread throughout medical education in Canada.)
Mac isn’t known as the best medical school it is known as the most unconventional. International students are not accepted into Canadian medical schools. It costs a lot to train a doctor so Canada only invests in students who will be able to stay in Canada to practice. U of T and UBC are known as the best schools and residencies because they are attached to the most advanced hospital systems.
Dude, forget about medicine. Barely 10% of the students that plan and study to become doctors actually succeed in getting the MD degree. Too competitive
It feels as though so many universities now offer MBAs. Traditionally the good schools were U of T and Western but that was a very long time ago. You should try student forums, or you might find a ranking out there (from Macleans or something) that is MBA-specific.
Thanks a helpful video n i hv a question.. Can u please suggest me a good university in Canada for Ph.D in Social Sciences for Political Science, International Affairs or Relation?? Please🙏🙏🙏🙏
Well, the thing is, that different schools are better for different areas of poli sci. Some schools are known for international relations, some for Canadian politics, some for political theory, some for comparative, some for policy. Which area are you trying to get your degree in?
So, depending upon your program, schedule is often very flexible. In the social sciences, for example, you only have so many courses to take before you focus on your thesis. Once the courses are done, there really isn't an obligation to be physically present all the time. But if you are working as a TA or an instructor, you will have less free time to travel.
Hi I am a mechanical engineer and I am trying to get into a university in Canada to do my masters. I have a CGPA of 9.5 out of 10 and a 7.5 band score in IELTS. Could you please suggest a best fit masters course and a university for me? I am really confused and don't know where to go despite doing a lot of research. Thank you.
What kind of research have you done? Where have you looked? Every year, Macleans, Canada's national news magazine ranks schools. I don't know if they'd have enough information about mechanical engineering, though. You might want to try some student forums, too.
is that true that tuition fee for International student in canada $8,000 ? I just look at university of british colombia. The website show me that tuition.
Any comments/information on the colleges of Canada? Like Seneca or George Brown in Toronto? I am thinking to study in Seneca can you please give some info on the colleges of Canada and their worth in the Education sector in Canada.
Please can you suggest me a good and affordable school wherein I can study masters in corporate or commercial law???please I really do need it.❤️❤️Thanks.
I don't know which of these have your specific program, but we made a list of more affordable schools this year: www.immigroup.com/news/study-canada-cheaply
I suspect there aren't that many universities in Canada which offer masters in biotech, so the first thing you should do is make a list of those, then worry about howt hey compare.
@@immigroup thank you I'll look into it. And is there a site that allows me to browse Canadian universities similar to which's website that allows me to browse british universities?
@@zombies956 I don't know. Back when I was applying for university, everyone used Maclean's magazine's annual report, but I don't know if people take that seriously any more.
Which rankings have you been looking at? If the rankings aren't specific enough (and they probably aren't), you should see if you can find student forums about your degree or, if there isn't one about food and nutrition grad programs, then find the schools which have the degree and then find student forums for those schools, and ask what they think of their programs. Hope this helps.
I know Waterloo has long been well regarded for certain types of engineering, but it depends upon the type, for sure. I doubt you will find a combination of lower tuition and higher scholarships.
First you should find out which universities offer the program. Then you should see if there are any publications that rate them, or student forums where you can ask about them.
Newfoundland for International Students tuition average fee is so wrong... it is around $8000+ annually not $3k+... it would be $3k+ per semester instead
Immigroup Inc Refering to IS, it’s annual. In your example you stated that the average in Ontario for International Student is 22k plus... that is too much for a semester fee. That could be right if based on the average per annum not per semester. I think you only got the NL fee wrong the rest could be right.
@@drewpeterson6881 Fair enough. My memory was that it was based on semesters. Thanks for pointing that out. Here is a link to Memorial's current tuition fees: www.mun.ca/undergrad/money/index.php

Thanks
Most universities in Canada are roughly equivalent at the undergraduate level in terms of the things you learn, though class size varies widely. Tuition fees are all within a spectrum, but some schools will be more expensive than others (the schools in this video tend to be on the cheaper end). Cost of living varies widely but the rule of thumb is basically: the bigger the city, the higher the rent. (You can expect food costs to be more expensive in smaller communities, a lot of the time, though.)
@@fahimmuntasir2167 I'm sorry to say I don't know much about it. It would be a smaller university because Charlottetown is a pretty small city. PEI is relatively isolated from the rest of the Maritimes, as it is only connected to the rest of the country by the longest bridge in Canada (which has tolls).
I've just completed btech 1st yr (IT branch).I want to do MS in artificial intelligence....can someone suggest me some universities with less fee and better opportunities..also the right time to apply for it..
I actually don't know of a good reason, rather it's just "Because they get away with it." I am not familiar with any country where the international student tuition rates are the same as locals pay, but they may exist. I think the idea is school is for the locals so if you want to come from somewhere else you're going to have to pay for it. But I don't think the justification is any better than that.
The joint one with Dalhousie? The Dalhousie program is really old, the UNB program is quite new. I would expect it partially depends upon where you want to practice.
@@chelseaevelyne621 I'm pretty sure tuition was a factor when we made this video, so perhaps some of the schools in the video. Is this for undergrad or grad school? Most Canadian universities are fairly equivalent at the undergrad level if they offer the specific programs, at least to my personal knowledge. Example: I went to a school that was supposed to be not that good academically and got a far broader education in my discipline than many other people at "better" schools."
It likely depends on the program, but there is a big factor you should think about which is location. Memorial is in St. John's, which is the largest city on Newfoundland but it's also really far from the rest of the country, you either need to fly or take a really long boat ride (overnight) if you plan on traveling outside of Newfoundland. The weather is crazy as well. It's a very pretty place, with the friendliest people in Canada. But it's also very isolated.
I am a social worker with both bachelors and masters and need to join memorial University of newfoundland in canada. What do i do? Need your help. Thank you
Are you trying to study there or are you teaching there? If you are studying, you need to get accepted first, then you can apply for a study permit. If you are teaching, you need the job offer to apply for the work permit.
You should see if you can find a student forum where they discuss that. Alternatively, if you know the profession you want to go into, you can contact their professional body and see if they like a particular school most.
Hi can u plse guide me about universities in Canada I wanted to study MSC microbiology so I just want to know that which college is best and place too am nt a Canadian student am from India so will u plse help me out from this
I don't know which universities offer the program, or which are better than others. You should check out student forums or, if there is a professional association for microbiologists in Canada, see what schools they respect.
Hi, my long-term goal is to immigrate there so I'm taking the student pathway (which is, as they say, the easiest way). Can you recommend some uni that is tourist friendly? And which could assist you in finding parttime jobs..,🙏
@@ellimac4973 I don't know whether or not it is the easiest way but it is the longest way: degree + at least one year skilled work experience (and then 3 more years minimum before citizenship). A big city university is going to be more diverse than a school in a smaller town. Also, the bigger schools will have more on-campus job opportunities but also way more competition for those jobs.
There are no scholarships for sports in Canada (there might be a few exceptions) so you're going to be stuck with a Varsity team where the talent level is considerably lower than an American university. Some schools likely don't even offer varsity soccer.
Immigroup Inc sorry I mean that I want to go to a university or college to study computer science but I would love also if any or most of them have soccer teams which one can join while also studying in Canada
@@geraldutd2984 I just meant that the quality of the team might be lower than what you are expecting. You should be able to play at least intramural soccer at any university in Canada (excepting any university that is entirely distance or a commuter school). But if you're looking for competitive soccer, it's these schools: usports.ca/en/sports/soccer/m/standings
Which field? PhDs are usually field-specific. Most universities in Canada offer some kind of bursary for studying at the post-grad level, though these bursaries don't always cover all of your expenses. On top of that, there will be scholarships for really exceptional students, from the universities themselves, but also from private organizations and the government. The amount of money available depends upon the subject area and school, among other things.

That depends upon what the program requires and whether or not UBC recognizes your degrees. You should contact the school to see what you are credited for and what you don't have which you need to qualify for admission.
what about the scholarships.?? my friend is doing masters from York University and she got 100% scolarship...is it true..?? does this happen to international students..??
Many if not most grad schools in Canada have scholarships and bursaries to cover tuition and certain expenses for graduate students. (This is far less true for undergraduates.) But international student tuition is much higher so I don't know how much they would cover. Depends upon the program, the school, and you.
@@kamleshchovatiya8818 So for law school you either want to go to one of the best known, such as the law school at U of T, or you want to go to a law school in the province where you wish to practice.

I'd suggest finding some student forums, either of undergrads attempting to get in or current students, and asking the question there.

Is MCgill university best for medicine? (International student)

So, depending upon your program, schedule is often very flexible. In the social sciences, for example, you only have so many courses to take before you focus on your thesis. Once the courses are done, there really isn't an obligation to be physically present all the time. But if you are working as a TA or an instructor, you will have less free time to travel.

Most universities in Canada are roughly equivalent at the undergraduate level in terms of the things you learn, though class size varies widely.
Tuition fees are all within a spectrum, but some schools will be more expensive than others (the schools in this video tend to be on the cheaper end).
