First Solo Trip Ever To Serbia | Before You Visit Serbia | Things You don't Know About Serbia!

  • For my first solo trip ever to Serbia, I did some extensive research about the country. So here's a list of everything you need to know before your first visit to Serbia.
    I am hosting my very first group tour to Serbia. Sign up if you're interested to join me! - justgowithamreen.com/new-year...
    With the pandemic going on, there have been so many alterations with rules and restriction, it's hard to get some clear information online. So this vlog will give you a run down on all the things you don't know about Serbia. Prior to my trip and after it, several other women travelers asked me did i feel safe in Serbia? And the answer is YES! The main cities such as Belgrade & Novi Sad are always bustling with people. Also, I made sure I centrally locate myself, so that everything is easily accessible to me.
    I suggest take a pen and paper or starting typing in your Notes app, as these are things to know before booking your trip to Serbia in 2021. Before my visit to Serbia, I was quite nervous too but all those who've traveled solo in the past, were so motivating and encouraging of my decision. I strongly suggest you must visit Serbia in 2021. And visit it at least for 1 week, so you can enjoy all the sights of this gorgeous country.
    Serbia is more expensive than you think!

    Now covid pass is needed after 20h in restaurants/cafes/night clubs, it's not 22h like at the start. Good video, i'm from Belgrade but i like watching foreigners vids on Serbia.
    It's funny how Serbia is expensive for you, all westerners notice first how cheap its here, although take in mind that Belgrade is maybe 30-50% more expensive when it comes to a lot of things compared to the rest of Serbia, especially fast food or restaurant/cafe prices.

    • @JustGoWithAmreen
      @JustGoWithAmreen  2 года назад +1

      I’m glad you liked my video. That coming from a Serbian is commendable. Serbia is perceived super cheap country but if you’re a solo traveler it’s really pricey to pay for tours. Food and drink is definitely economical but the rest is not. Not even shopping is cheap. People from Western Europe or US or UK can find Serbia cheap but it’s pricier than what Indians anticipate.

    • @carick235
      @carick235 2 года назад

      @@JustGoWithAmreen Yes i understand what you mean. Tours can be expensive, especially if you take those around the country to other places outside of Belgrade, it depends if it's individual or group tour. And i agree on shopping prices (clothes, tech etc), those are basically the same as in Western Europe, the only difference being that in the West they actually have real discounts, here in Serbia they reduce 20-30% on black friday days which is a joke.

    • @JustGoWithAmreen
      @JustGoWithAmreen  2 года назад

      Yes exactly. The prices for clothes and stuff are the same as Dubai even. So it didn’t make any sense to buy anything. Hi Bijeta, do you have a US visa or UK visa or multiple entry schengen visa? If yes, then you can go ahead. But if you don’t then you can’t. If you live in uae and you’re a resident, you’re eligible for visa on arrival in Montenegro but only if you fly directly from uae via flydubai or emirates airlines. Is that clear now?

    Hahahahahah if you’re a vegetarian definitely avoid Serbia:)))) I suspected you don’t eat meat since you didn’t visit the south, Leskovac is well known for grill and all kinds of meat dishes :)

      Oh I’m a meaty person. I am not vegetarian. But I don’t eat pork, that’s a major thing. Hence I said, it would be challenging.

    Hehe, if a serbian declares that he is a vegetarian, everyone would immediately ask him in a very concerned tone of voice if he is well, the assumption being that it must be under doctor’s orders. :)

      So true. It’s the same for many meat dominant countries. Eating veg is so unusual.

      Yes in the outskirts of the main cities, there are not a lot of English speaking people. But in Belgrade and novi sad it’s manageable. Are you in Serbia right now?
