    They both sounded cool but when you hear the Friedman solo'd, it's much tighter and cleaner sounding. The sound quality was very good in the recording btw

    Cool Video, Nice playing as well! I love my 100 Watt Badlander, Its so easy to dial in and get a great tone out of it. It never disappoints. I just purchased a Friedman BE-100 Deluxe a few months ago. Amazing amp as well but I wouldn't mind having this SS-100 V2. Subscribed!

      Thanks for the support John! Yeah dude, the BE deluxe is such a cool amp. So many tone shaping capabilities.

    I don't own either, but have played both. Totally agree with your Badlander assessment; very well could be my favourite Mesa as well. Recto vibe, but much tighter and some low end traded for upper mid grind. The SS2 may be the best Friedman I have played. Compared to my old BE100, it is a bit brighter, brasher and punchier, but still retains such a killer feel! Choosing between the two for MY current needs/playing, it would be the Friedman, but if I were looking for a new Mesa, I would grab a Badlander 100 all day.

      Yeah dude, Friedman amps are it! I played a BE100 deluxe when trying to decide which amp to go for and while I liked it a lot and it has a TON of tone shaping capabilities; I just vibed with this one more. The SS100 really can do it all. Thanks for the support! 💪

      They are both awesome amps…I adore my SS though. You’re going to love it dude! What cab(s) are you going to run it through?

    Both amps sounded great. I still prefer the Friedman, only because I saw your other video and it seems to be more versatile and it has that Marshall vibe that I like.
    Definitely more videos,playing and talking too. Thanks for taking the time to make them.
    Congratulations on the new baby and the job, have an awesome weekend

    Great comparison. I'm not big Mesa fan by any stretch, but this one sounds great. I prefer the Friedman overall though.

      Thanks dude! Mesaboogie was brilliant with the conception of this amp. It appeals to a wider audience since it's carries the DNA of a Recto and a Marshall, bringing something really awesome to the table.

    They're so close it's uncanny. I have the Badlander and was considering the SS, probably won't now, probably get the Friedman BE100. Suggestion. Sound comparison of BE100 and Badlander..

      Thx for the suggestion! Honestly though, it might just be my settings during the demo because IMO the amps aren’t too similar sounding. Don’t write off the SS just yet!

    Great video, Subscribed! The Badlander always wins for me. Your settings are very close to mine with the exception that I use the Crunch channel more unless I’m using the emg 81 as the Crush settings introduces the lower mids and helps a lot with the fullness. What were your settings for the precision drive ? What pickups were you using? Looking forward to more content!

    • @sir.shreddington
      @sir.shreddington  Год назад +1

      Thanks Ronnie, appreciate the support! Honestly, I don’t remember what I had the pedal set at…but I usually keep the filter or attack knob on one of the first 3 settings, drive at zero, bright and volume varying depending on the sound I’m going for. Lately I’ve kept the volume dimed! As far as the guitar I used for the rhythms, it’s a Les Paul Custom and I currently have polymath pickups installed 🤙

      i love them both. i think if you were to add vocals the badlander would leave more space for a vocal to sit. the friedman is what i would prefer to hear in the spots of the somg that dont have vocals.

    Hey mate. Have you boosted the SSv2? Keen to see how much aggression that would add to the amp

    • @sir.shreddington
      @sir.shreddington  Год назад +1

      I have, and it sounds amazing! The SS100 metal video I posted has it boosted with a precision drive. I've also run a Maxon Od808 with it and it sounds killer as well.

      @sir.shreddington the Granophyre that I have been him hawing about for three years. Great amp, awesome tonal quality, awesome quality but I'm just not jiving with the sound.

      @sir.shreddington get on the list with Omega man. Great amp like I said, just not really my thing. My ears like the Recto based stuff the best. KSR being my favorite modern brand. If I played an Obsidian I know I'd love that. Saturation is to my liking on that.

      @@sir.shreddington You asked for opinion about your channel going forward. I’d prefer gear demo and opinion/review. I don’t like the no talking vids on here. But too much rattling on and repeating things (others, not you) kill the vibe. Also, I love to see more about the SS100V2 head. I know you’ve done at least two, but it’s still brand new and there aren’t many other videos out there yet. Just my 2¢. Good luck!

      @@Dr.Jekyll Awesome thx for the suggestion and support!
      I hear you, I'm not a fan of the rambling either. Funny thing about the SS, I was wanting to do a vid of a full play through showcasing the various sounds with some knob twisting, and my input on dialing it in. Once I get my audio setup figured out expect something like that soon.👍

    Mesa electronics build and layout quality is garbage. Nothing compared to a Friedman.
