Highly recommend these ramen-yas for your next Tokyo trip! Lmk in the comments if I missed your favorite ramen shop. 😉
Tokki, could you try Student Noodle (Ramen Bayashi) in Narita sometime please. I desperately miss their shisenmen (Red hot chilli noodle soup) and would love to know what their broth base is.
The Best Ramen Video I've seen . I made my list . Thank You .
I’m so glad you liked it ❤️🥹 Ramen is another level in Tokyo~
All of them look delicious and spectacular thanks
Must visit shops from ramen heads like you and me 🥰🍜 lmk which you think would be your fav ❤️
Add to my to-eat-list for my next trip to Tokyo! 💕💕💕💕
yay!! Let me know which ends up being your fav~
Thanks for the recommendations. I would like you to try Mutekiya at Ikebukuro. My all time favourite.
i know AFURI is a chain but it soooo good. Yuzu flavor is something you dont get often in the states, also their charred chasu was amazing
saaame!! I loved it so much. even the vegan ramen was reallyyy good 🥹🍜
Ramen looks soooo goood😊yum
thank youuu! Yes ramen in Japan is amazing!!!
Just subscribed to your channel! Amazing japan content, how have your views not blown up by now?! Can't wait to see more.

nice guide!
Best ramen rew i´ve seen! thank you so much for inspiration- greetings from , sweden, stockholm.
Food looks good Tokki 😋🌹🇯🇵
Thank you ❤️ Every ramen shop was incredible! 🤤
Was in Japan a few years ago and Rokurinsha was easily one of my favourite meals!
same!! So much flavor and the noodle texture was chef’s kiss ✨🥹
First time I found Tsukemen in Japan in my visit in 2010 at Fuunji. New experience of eating ramen, so delish. Can't wait for my trip back in 2024
I’ve never been to Fuunji but heard it is amazing! Did you already go back? 😍
@@withTOKKI Just returned from my trip a few days ago. The tsukemen at Fuunji was just as good as I remembered it at both their stores, Ramen street and their original location. The one at Ramen street was less packed and more spacious.
I had ramen at Afuri and Menya Kaijin thanks to this video. Did not disappoint.
I would love to try that red snapper shio ramen!!
I think that one was my favorite! 😍 red snapper broth was so cleannn ✨ close, second and thirds (¬ sure which order) was the shio duck + shoyu chicken / duck ramens. So good. 🤤
Can defo recommend both Ichiran and Rokarinsha’s Tsukemen. 🍜🍜
Thks to upload! Ichiran is very famous here in Japan but not for my taste. I will try Hayashida next time.
Keep posting ramen videos!
oooh! Ty! I will ☺️
Those places look amazing! Have you tried Ippudo? That’s my favorite in Japan but I will try your suggestion too 💜
watching this while eating my Mr. Noodles :D
I’ve never tried Mr. Noodles before but I would love to! It’s a Canadian brand? I wonder if I can order some online 🫶🏼 thank you for watching ❤️
Hi again. I happened to be in Ueno today and so stopped by your No. 4 here, Kamo to Negi. I'll echo your thoughts here - what an outstanding bowl of soup. I got the Confit Ramen for 1260 yen ($8.50 currently) because I like duck, like, a lot. I'm usually not as into the sappari-kei - I like Tonkotsu-Shoyu/Ie-kei and even at my favorite shop go for the Niboshi Kitakata style. BUT, that duck and roasted green onion broth was just superb. The 30 minute wait was well worth it.
omg yay!! I’m so glad you loved it. I became a huge fan of duck ramen after Kamo to Negi. agreeeee 💯 would wait 30 min again ♥️
Convinced me to go to the asian restaurant as soon as possible to try ramen soup🙂
I’m about to eat ramen now tooo hehe
I JUST went to hayashida ramen and i have to say that it was amazing. I got the dried sardine broth (it was the last one available, the rest sold out!) and it was a burst of fishy flavour. I was also able to try the shoyu broth but the fishy flavour suited me more 😊
Fun fact: after rewatching the video, i actually sat exactly where tokki did !!!!
Ty for the recommendations :D
your comment made me sooo happy today!! 🥹🫶🏼 literally brought me back to eating at Ramen Hayashida 🍜 loveee that you tried the nodoguro ramen and that we sat in the same spot ✨
lmk if you have any new recs for me! ♥️
@@withTOKKI❤️❤️❤️
The tsukemen in fuunji is really good
I’ll add Fuunji to my list! 👀❤️Thank you~~
I love fuunji too-they gave extra noodles free of charge (idk if they still do)
Thank you so much for these videos! I’m going to Tokyo in 2 months and I have no idea of where to start.
You’re going to have the best time 🥹❤️ ramen tastes extra good too during the cold weather ❄️😍 enjoyyy and thank you, I’m so glad it helped! 😌
I love Hakata style tonkotsu ramen. What is your opinion why choose a light broth ?
Amazing ramen. BTW, recommend a thinner eye liner.
it takes a ramen lover to eat ramen 7 days in a row! I think I can do 14 days easy!
Ramen is fantastic food, and i think i would make 7 ramen on one day 😅
🤣 I could totally see it. If we didn’t have the “100 things to do in Tokyo” video to film, we probably would have eaten 7 ramen in a single day too 😜
Tokki, do you have any LA/Orange County Ramen spots you can recommend? For Udon I really like Meiji Seimen in Costa Mesa but it’s always so crowded
Wowww yummy watching from d piliphines....
Thank you for this video. Did you happen to notice if Ichiran broth was a little sweet?
Hmm it didn’t taste sweet to me. More savory and rich. Especially if you add the garlic, I think mainly garlic notes ☺️
@@withTOKKI Thank you!
I will be landing I Tokyo on the 8th!!!
I’m late to this but how was your trip?!✈️✨♥️
Must Try Kyushuu Janggara at Harajuku
kanda kikanbo、Plesse go!
I just looked up Kanda Kikanbo! It looks soooo good!!! I will have to try ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Tokki, do you have a TikTok page?? Love your videos
I do have a TikTok, it’s @withtokki! :) but unfortunately I haven’t been posting there for a while. :’(
Mainly focus on RUclips and Instagram. But lmk if TikTok would be more helpful. I can start posting there again ☺️
So cool that you speak Japanese! Do you only speak Japanese when interacting with restaurant staff and chefs??
🤣 yes~ and also to ask for directions a lot since Google maps is so-so for navigating walking paths 😌
@@withTOKKI I loved the little segment where you spoke Japanese to the waitress and translated on screen! I would love to see more casual conversations with chefs and restaurant staff in future videos! I love all the ramen you featured and have them all written down for our next trip :)
ありがとう(^∇^)がんばります😌❤
Hi Tokki, I watched100 things to do in Tokyo as well, Ikebukuro is Ramen Heaven , so I recommend to come there again if you back again. by Ikebukuro Citizen.
Wow thank you for watching both of my videos 🥹❤️ I would love to try the Ikebukuro ramen scene, ty so much for the recommendation! Do you have a favorite ramen there?
All the locals have always said ichiran is just for tourists for experience....ramen is just ok
Hi. I’m also a local but I wouldn’t say it’s only for tourists. Having said that, it is definitely a chain restaurant. The quality is above average, but by no means one of the best. Like you say, you can walk into a regular ramen joint that is attracting a decent number of customers, and have a nice bowl of delicious ramen. Make sure you know what type of broth they use as this will change the character of the ramen significantly.
It's bad and expensive
It’s hyped and commercial and ppl with no brain fall for that
They are right! 😂
Stopped at Ichiran
Going to Ichiran in Japan is like going to McDonalds. Don’t recommend unless you don’t have any better choices, which there always are.
Best ramen is the hole in the wall or the place that’s been around for decades.
not trying ippudo is wild
One More question gurl does it always smell like da fish???
The fish / seafood ramen does not taste fishy. Just super savory and comforting ❤
@@withTOKKI LOOK SO YUM GURL!!!!!
@@lrg2freshit’s sooo good 😘✨TYY ❤
Wow, it's great to be young! My Cardiologist would have a heart attack if I did this...
Overall a really nice video. As a fairly fluent Japanese speaker, I find your accent interesting. Sometimes (afuri, Ichiran, even your pronunciation of ramen) your pronunciation is spot on. Other times, you abandon it (Rokurinsha, Kamo to Negi where the G should be hard like google rather than soft like gender). I imagine this is something related to being heritage bilingual. Anyway. Interesting to me as a listener. I haven't finished the video yet, but I hope you go to Menya Shichisai.
wow! I will have to try Menya Shichisai, thank you so much. Yes, I speak English, Korean, and conversational Japanese, 🤣 not perfectly- and sometimes my accents get misplaced while I’m speaking. 🥲
I’ll try to keep it more consistent. 😅 I’m so happy you enjoyed the video. Thank you for watching. 🙇🏻♀️❤️
Cool! When you get to Shichisai, let me know! I’ll be going there in November and will try one or two of the shops from your list too!
any tokyo ramen list with ichiran on it is not a list worth taking seriously honestly
Kamo to Negi…if you’re Japanese why did you pronounce it so strangely?
watched too much Naruto dub as a kid 🤣 sneaks up once in a while
I think the first one is the best the rest are not delicious 😂😂😂 It isclear on their faces.
Ichiran = for tourists🤭
Most Japanese prefer soy sauce & salt ramen.
Eating with baseball caps seems lazy and creepy. Come on men…
Ichiran is so overrated
Ichiran isn't even good ahuhuhu
Terrible list
Is it just me or is Ramen overrated? heavy, greasy, and bland imo.
The ones in Tokyo- especially the shio (salt based broths) are incredible. Hosenka was my fav! Sea bream ramen- so good, flavorful and not heavy at all 😍
It's just you.
I love Hakata style tonkotsu ramen. What is your opinion why choose a light broth ?
