  • On the journey to get my house as secure as possible I stumbled across this alarm system which was just within our price range (slightly out of it to be honest)
After researching as much as I could I found that this is exactly the sort of alarm system I was looking for. So bought it! this is the Unboxing, setup and overall review of.

That is actually a great price for what it is. Is it possible to add to it with your own Arduino/Pi stuff, do you think? I like that a lot. I have cameras everywhere and I'm interested to find out more about this as I want to expand my own system. Assuming that the security is good I would consider that myself. I know you could pay a lot more for something that seems to have less features.
Do you have an affiliate link, James? I would be happy to go through that if I do check it out.

Hello buddy. I'm really loving it so far and you can add a huge variety of things to it, although at present I haven't looked into your own hobby kind of things yet (don't you worry I definitely will be though lol) I was really shocked by how much included for the price! I don't add affiliate links due to the fact I'd rather people know that I am doing this out of love for the product rather than a small amount of money from a link. I can however send you a link to the exact one I bought from if that would be helpful to you

Hi, this sensor will trigger an alarm even if it sees a cat or a dog

If you're talking about the PIR sensors then yes a dog or cat big enough we'll set them off

Thanks for the video. One question, how far away can be the PIR sensor from the main panel?

I'm not 100% sure but I've put them all around my house upstairs and downstairs and the control panel is at the front of my house. There's been no issues with connectivity at all

thank you for the video! I have 2 questions:
1 - do you have an estimation of the time the battery last?
2 - Do you know if it's possible to connect other sensors?
    Thanks in advance

Both great questions. If you mean the battery on the main control panel then it says 4 to 6 hours I've had no issues when there's been power cuts so far. I have connected other devices to the security system now but all of them were bought from the same supplier

@@TheOffGridFamily Thanks for the fast reply. Sorry for not being specific. The question was regarding the sensors. I decided to adopt aqara sensors with zigbee technology and set some scenarios on homeassistant, was thinking in connecting to Stanior main control, but it will be almost triple the price. It the battery of the Stanior system is good, I may give it a try instead of zigbee. Zigbee protocol will last 2 year (5 with the new models).

@@jamlvs oh I see. Right, I have had to change the battery in one door sensor (the door we use most) and we went away for a few days so I decided to change the batteries in all the PIR sensors although I hadn't had any battery warnings etc. I just decided to just in case

    Hi there
    Thanks for the deep review.
Just wondering what the model# of the system is and how to get exactly what you have from AliExpress ... would be perfect for my needs. Much of the time, AliExpress say many of the products, notably Tuya, can't be delivered to the UK?
I'd also be looking for an outdoor soplar-powered siren.
I've had a KERUI systems for ages and I love it, GSM and wireless as opposed to WiFI, which I'd avoid. Moving to a new house soon, so need to start over.
It seems that Tuya and KERUI parts can work together? Could someone comment on this, please?
    Thanks 🙂

Hi there I will look for the model numbers etc for you. I did buy extra sensors from their website at some point. I will have to find that for you as well. I cannot however comment on whether there's any cross compatibility with other systems but they may be able to answer that for you if you email them.

Thanks for the prompt reply and the link. I've now resuloved the issue of AliExpress not shipping to my address - just edited my profile, since my region had gone amiss. Oodles of Staniot stuff on there. 🙂

Not cheap? Are you kidding? Peanuts mate. What do you expect? 10 door sensors! 8 Pirs! Just the door sensors would come to 80 quid if you bought them on their own.

Are you aware that some people have different versions of expensive/cheap? I congratulate you on having more money than me but please remember that opinions and views are subjective. Thanks for your comment

@@TheOffGridFamily I can assure you I don't have more money. I live a a small 3rd world country where everything is 4 times more expensive than the UK and European countries and living wage is 10 times less. So subjective most certainly. I'd be very grateful to be able to purchase an item like that at such a low price. Good luck
