Many of you really enjoyed my last video in which I was unpacking the Polish MRE, so I decided to make another one. This time we will take a closer look at the American MRE.

Chaan DenHoven my buddies and I eat them when we go to Bonnaroo. Ez dinner you can eat while waiting on a show to start. If you get the good ones with a candy bar instead of gum it's actually quite a delicious meal.

shit this takes me back. my father is a general in the national guard and when my sister and i were little we would always have a bunch of these exact MREs laying around the house. we would always force my dad to cook them for us even though we never ate them, we just thought they were cool.

Wydia A It is actually just gum. It's not a laxative and thats actually a common myth that went around. It's literally just for cleaning the teeth and mouth especially if it were an actual emergency situation considering you can get infections and bone decay if you don't brush your teeth. My father was in the military for 25 years and I lived on a base for a while and of course google tells you about it but yeah you can totally pop some gum to keep minty fresh incase some cuties come your way 😎

If I remember correctly from my time in the Army, it was like 12 meals for breakfast, 'bout 20 for lunch and 'nother 13 or so for supper.
They also aren't emergency packs.

Hey! I picked up this exact MRE at a flea market over the weekend. I'd recommend it. Also, when you use that heater to heat up the food, it smells pretty bad.
Honestly, after eating a bunch of them, the frh smell is kinda soothing, in a weird way
