I love the ritual of starting the fire. My dad always spent more time fiddling with everything and poking it. It drove my mom insane. Every time I light a fire I hear her voice screaming my dad’s name.

I like your gloves and jacket sleeve - makes it all real to me... I remember living in the Dakotas and all the blizzards and heatless days and nights when the electricity was gone from the storm. Oh how I wished we had a wood fireplace / stove during those experiences.

I rearranged this big executive desk I inherited and added a faux fireplace mantle, it's small-ish. My computer receeds into the fireplace open space and your video is my early holiday season gift! I was envisioning something just such as this, so thank you. Living in Honolulu, I miss New England during the fall and Christmas time, this way creating my own little world, I feel less homesick. I really miss an open fireplace, I can't help but think how much more efficient that would be with a good fire grate and front and a mix of coal and wood. I really miss the glowing embers lighting up the room, the dogs and cat all curled up together cooking themselves 😂

@@dear_nature at times the dog and cat would be joined by lambs and piglets who'd been rejected or week and needed to be bottle fed at all hours day and night, at one point we had 19 lambs and 10 piglets in the house at one time, all in a pile Infront of the fire. Happy memories.

Ещё есть канал Primitive Technology про австралийского любителя делать из грязи и палок дома, печи, доменные печи, сверлидиьные станки, оружие и прочее, что могло бы пригодиться человеку в каменном веке или раннем железном веке. Тоже атмосферно. Ну и тебе спасибо за видео камина с огнём. В Росси камины найти проблематично - в традиционных домах в средней полосе расселения у нас русские печи, а они все закрытые. Ну а в республиках средней Азии чаще всего печи типа тандыр - там лепёшки классные пекут.

Ну и тебе спасибо за видео камина с огнём. В Росси камины найти проблематично - в традиционных домах в средней полосе расселения у нас русские печи, а они все закрытые. Ну а в республиках средней Азии чаще всего печи типа тандыр - там лепёшки классные пекут.
