Wood Burning Fireplace // No Music, No Loops, No Ads, New Logs, and High Quality Sound.

- No rental car for this video; instead, I wanted to share a few hours of my fireplace with you. This is a 3 hour fire using dried pieces of oak (the smell is amazing). Well....the ~FIRE~ was three hours long. The video obviously is not. It's surprisingly difficult to remain completely silent in your living room for 3 hours. So to spare you the annoyance of hearing me walking around, I edited video down to 2 hours.
But...I made sure to film myself setting up and maintaining the fire. I hope you enjoy that bit. My wife and I used to watch fire videos in the wintertime (at our hold house) and we were always annoyed that the "no loop" videos were obviously looped. The wood never burned down and the author of the video never maintained the fire. So I tried to do something different with this video. You will see me often readjusting the wood, adding new logs, and restarting the fire when it burns low. Hopefully, that bit is enjoyable (and not too loud).

You could also render out the best 10 minutes or so on a loop for 12 hrs. That makes for a very useful video. :) Cheers!

The product served its purpose well and provided excellent fires throughout the evening. We were able to open the door and do s'mores, but I had to be careful because the handle was a bit hot on occasions. Additionally, I wish they had replaced some of the standard nuts with lock nuts in some places. We lost the door handle after just a couple of days of usage. Not a deal breaker, just a recommendation. I still give it 5 stars.

However, I found the structure you built in the second act questionable. Why go for a « flat trapper », less stimulating the eye but more ergonomic, when you could easily built a « one leg pyramid »?

I was born and raised in a big city and I lived my entire life in a tiny apartment. I remember visiting my grandparents in the countryside when I was little, after dinner they would light their small fireplace and I would spend all night sitting on my grandpa's big armchair just staring at the flames, mesmerized. sometimes I think that the only thing I want out of life is a small house with a fireplace and a comfy armchair, and that'd be enough to make me content. thank you for uploading this!

What on earth did you use as a starter, anytime i stack it that much nothing i use can get it started that fast or that hot its an uphill battle just to get it hot enough that I don't have to standby to keep it alive.

hey there rented Car... for best results, eh, close the ash box. Burning coals come from the wood that is on fire, and usually they are used to keep a fire going. Burning embers or burning coals (same thing) are red and appear to glow. If you take a tasty looking ember and lick it, you'll learn that their purpose isn't food related, but for burning things. When wood burns these embers accumulate under the fire and keep the fire alive.

I love that this is a real video of fireplace sound! Thanks for posting. I used to have a log fireplacein our old home but in our new home put in a gas fireplace just because it was easier. Its still beautiful but I really really miss the crackle. I will try playing this near the fireplace.
