Keeping your intake temps as low as possible is a vital part of any build on modern BMWs. Lower intake temps mean cooler, denser air which translates directly into more horsepower. The Mishimoto intercooler is a great way to add performance and remove the weakness of the stock plastic intercooler.
    Required parts and tools:
    Mishimoto S58 intercooler
    www.kiesmotorsports.com/produ...
    10mm, 13mm, 15mm, 16mm, 17mm (21mm for G80s) 25mm socket and wrench
    E18, E10 reverse torx socket
    pick tool
    plastic trim tool kit
Jack and jack stands, or Quickjack (highly recommend)
    4 gallons of coolant
    torque wrench
    impact wrench
T30, T40 torx bits and driver or wrench
    heat gun
    4mm, 3mm, 2.5mm allen wrench
    Coolant bleed directions:
Adjust the fill level in the coolant expansion tanks to the maximum mark.
Close the sealing cap on the coolant expansion tanks of cooling circuit.
    Connect battery charger.
    Activate testing-analysis-diagnosis (PAD) by quickly
pressing the START-STOP button three times.
    Set heating to maximum temperature.
Set the fan to the lowest level.
    Depress the accelerator pedal and maintain for 15 s;
do not press the brake pedal during this process.
The automatic cooling system bleeding procedure is
initiated. Step off the accelerator pedal, do not touch the brake pedal.
Depending on the equipment specification of the
    instrument cluster (KOMBI), ("Service function
    started") is displayed.
Once system says stopped, or pump has stopped operating (can take up to 11min) press the brake pedal.
Check fluid levels and top off if needed and repeat until the tanks are no longer low once the process is done.
*important* If using this process, I keep at least a half jug of coolant in my trunk. Check frequently over the next few days for tank levels and top off as needed.
    Nice to have:

This is a great video , I wish I had this video when I installed mine on my G80. One thing I did was to cut the engine mount right where the intake manifold connects to the cylinder head for all the 6 ports. This way when you park the car, the heat escapes and won't be trapped by the engine cover and you will have less of heat soak when you start the car back up. Overall I love the mishimoto intercooler and it is a great improvement over stock.

Good video! Id love to see a review video of this manifold. I heard it has an issue with heat soak do to the cast material, specifically after you turn the vehicle off and then turn it back on.
