So the sweedish shef verse was entierly in english, what stups did is they just oversweedishised the english language to sound like gibberish but if you listen closely you can hear +- what they're saying
I heard some english in there, I just assumed it was said in English because some word are easier said in English when it comes to rapping. Turns out it was all “gibberish” as I thought haha. Very unlikely indeed!
Sam the Eagle was always misinformed on things. He thought Rudolf Nureyev was an opera singer when he was actually a ballet dancer. So that's always been a running gag with Sam.
I'm pretty sure it was pointed out somewhere that Sam's music in his verse is literally just something to do with the queen of England mixed into the American thing as well
Hi, Swede here. No Swedish is ever spoken by the Swedish chef, not even sure you can call his "accent" Swedish, sounds closer to Danish or Dutch. But he does reference lingonberries and that's pretty damn Swedish of him.
And half the joke of Swedish Chef is that he doesn't actually speak Swedish; his original subtitles were in Chinese, adding to the confusion as they were equally incoherent.
His language has always been described as 'Mock-Swedish'. IIRC, Jim Henson used to listen to learn-to-speak-Mock-Swedish tapes in his car, and that's what he used for the character.
@@futurehistoryarchaeologist4480 That could be it as well. But I think I can remember that Sam Eagle was always misimformed about american stuff that ended up not being american. So it wouldnt suprise me if they put it there as the british national anthem.
@Timber I think the joke works on 2 levels. Sam Eagle has no knowledge of any national anthem outside of the United States, so he inadvertently chooses the one American song that's just another country's national anthem with different lyrics.
This Cypher potentially could have been the longest in nerdcore beating Gameboy Jones's Fairy Tale Cypher. There are DOZENS of Muppets and so many more nerdcore artists out there.

The Stupendium used English for his bit, but the accent is so thick and exaggerated that it's almost another language, you need to listen multiple times to actually hear the words, but they match with the captions.
My fave is Kermit's but I love the eagle's reference because if Ben Franklin had his way the turkey would have been America's animal instead of the bald eagle🤣
Not sure if stupes considered back 4 blood vid a cypher, I think dan called it one on his channel. But I just got reminded one of the earliest videos on stupes channel is a Muppets cover.
I'm half Swedish and I just wanna confirm that the chef wasn't speaking Swedish. In the show, movies and this song he talks in a made up gibberish language disguised as Swedish
It isn't finnish from muppets and stupendium, it's just the same fake deep accent, of you read it with the real captions you can understand what he is saying

It wasn’t the stupendium who made this up the actual character talks this way
Technically, the Swedish Chef speaks Mock Swedish, and it's mostly English in a heavy accent and "Bork bork bork" for punctuation.
@@patfre thanks captian obvious
As a Swedish person I can confirm that whatever he is speaking is not Swedish.

Sam only cared on the surface level, thinking Opera or Ballet, both are classy, and that's all he gave a Rizzo's ass about.

The Swedish Chef is, in fact, speaking straight gibberish. It's not actual swedish, they even admit it in the muppet show at some point.
Muppets just wanted had it as a joke in the album version if the interrogation song
He is speaking mock Swedish

Kermit did in fact carry a gun in those old commercials.
Leave it to "half of nerdcore" to make a Muppets Cypher go hard.
its not stupes' first cypher by a long shot, but its the first that they have spearheaded.

If you listen carefully during the Swedish Chef verse, The Stupendium is actually saying exactly what you’re reading as the translated lyrics!
~_~
It’s what they do in the show, too.
I love watching Stupendium's vids and then coming to see how you react to it. I wind up enjoying it on such a deeper level ^_^
Nice reaction! We love a stack of dad jokes
You know what. I think the muppets are entering public domain soon. You could probably react to the old shows
Also ngl I thought the same for the chef bit, till I read the "cc" subtitles and it filtered what I heard into what it actually was.
This is a real pleasure to watch and listen to! They did a great job on this cypher!
I’m just sitting here enjoying watching you bop along, this song is all good vibes!
