Instead of stripping back and soldering what I do is when I have to tap into a harness, I go back from the plug 3-4 inches and take the insulation off of the proper size butt connector, run my heat shrink on first then flux the connector crimp the one end near the plug and then crimp the new and original wire together on the other end and hit it with solder - that flux sucks it right into the butt connector - heat shrink and it looks TIGHT and never ever will come off. You do AWESOME WORK - that’s rare in this business

Does this also work for the 07 explorer Eddie Bauer addition, no sub no steering wheel control?

Yep! But you can do a cheaper harness if you just have a base trim. Just the Metra 70-5520 is all that's needed with no factory amp or steering wheel volume controls.

Hi, what do you mean by "factory sub" and "no factory sub?"

He means subwoofer. Factory sub means it has a subwoofer pre-installed at the factory.

What color wire is the positive used for triggering the reverse lights/camera?

For 4'th gen it's Brn/Blu. And Blk/Pnk for 3'rd gen. Located behind driver kick panel. Will be one of the finer ~20AWG wires in the bundle.

В левом пороге прокладывать проводку не очень хорошая идея. Там рядом проходит дренаж люка и нсли он забьётся мусором вода от дождей может подтекать под порог и проводка находится там в воде достаточно часто из-за чего и страдает. В форде наверное думали жопой, когда это делали.
